So many great songs at the age 10-11: "Summertime" with full (symphonic) orchestra, Cole Porter's "Every Time We say Goodbye" with just an acoustic guitar, two awesome performances of "Feelin' Good" and a mini tour in Norway (15-16 songs) with recordings from three venues. I think you would be especially intrigued by listening to the development of "Cry me a river" over those three concerts, starting at Sandnes, then Larkollen and finally the sublime performance from "Prøysenfestivalen". Mostly it's the tighness between Angelina and the band that evolves over those few days - Angelina delivers grateness every time 😊
Loved your emotional reaction when you heard it.💖 I've listened to it a hundred times and I get it every time. The most beautiful rendition of this song ever done.
My favorite Angelina's performances-All OF HER PERFORMANCES, period. Each performance by The Barefoot Angel has a different impact on me, regardless of sound or video quality. Thanks for your reaction to both performances of Angelina.
I hope one day she makes the Quincy Jones/Ray Charles connection in shaping RnB as we know it. There's great arrangements of Ray Charles recordings that she would kill. I can already hear her version of You Don't Know Me ❤
The metamorphosis of AJ Angelina Jordan's evolution from a child prodigy to a full-grown artist is a testament to her enduring talent and the natural progression of life. It's not uncommon for fans to feel nostalgic about artists they've followed since childhood, but growth and change are intrinsic to the human experience. As Angelina transitions into adulthood, her style and presentation may change, but what remains constant is her unique voice that continues to captivate audiences worldwide. Her journey reflects the transformation every artist undergoes, adapting and maturing both personally and professionally. This metamorphosis often brings a deeper, more resonant voice and a presence that resonates with both the innocence of youth and the wisdom of experience. Angelina's ability to maintain her signature sound while enhancing it with the strength of adulthood is what makes her a true phenomenon in the music industry. PS. If anyone questions her abilities as an adult, all one has to do is experience her performance in Dec. of 2023 at the Nobel Peace Prize on Oslo, Norway when she performed the most exquisite performance in my lifetime of Unchained Melody with the KORK Orchestra, no one on earth could have performed it better.
Thank you , can't find many words too in my feels like watching the divine choreography that opens doors at the right moment and here in Angelina's life a window into a moment on her path to bring something very special to the world that is Angelina so real and magical at the same time . 💜👣😇
I feel you, It hit me the same way , this is just beyond amazing. 12 years old and can out sing most all pros, what can one say but just marvel in her vocals.
“How does a 12 year old sound like that?”, you asked. Easy answer. There has never been a 12 year old who could sing like Angelina. There are all kinds of metrics one could use to rate the best singers they’ve ever heard. My rating is very simple. There has never been any singer in my 70+ years that I wanted to listen to everyday until Angelina. And since I found Angelina about 5-6 years ago, I do listen to her everyday. Thanks for your very knowledgeable reactions. But-a gentle warning: don’t try picking favorite Angelina performances. But you’ll realize that soon enough.
You have no idea how many times u r going to repeat "hands down my favorite performance up to now"! Glad u r moving into her older years. I will enjoy your journey with you!
A-Aron, she opened Quincy Jones' Birthday Party Event in London with this performance of 'Fly Me To The Moon'. There were many stars at the Show who had been associated with Quincy and the audience, of course, knew most of them. But, most of them didn't know who Angelina Jordan was or certainly never heard her sing live. After her performance can you imagine the buzzing going on in the audience, "OMG, who was that kid singing? Are you kidding me? She was fantastic!" And so Angelina's journey continues.........
If you wanted to create a perfect singing voice, then I believe many would chose Angelina's. The smallest act of kindness can have a huge positive impact. Be kind and be sure to subscribe to Angelina's Official channel and also to all your favorite reaction channels. It helps more than you realize.

You Don’t Own Me remember when Leslie Gore released this in the 60's, but it was not even close to AJ's cover. Lesley Gore and producer Quincy Jones at work in the studio. The two collaborated on "You Don't Own Me" and a handful of other 1960s hits. I hope everyone knows the contribution Quincy Jones has made to the music industry. Don't forget: On 27 June 2018, Jordan at the age of 12 was asked by QJ to performed "Fly Me to the Moon" and she opened for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London, as part of his 85th birthday celebration. In 2019, Quincy told Angelina that she is the biggest thing since Michael Jackson Angelina Jordan (AJ is much better than Michael Jackson was, she is like nothing we have experienced in the past.)
This is the Quincey Jones arrangement as he did for Frank Sinatra. The symphony orchestra is of a very high standard, they blend so well with Angelina's voice. There are two poor quality videos of the live performance showing Angelina's interaction with Quincey, the high quality audio from the BBC radio recording. These elements combine to give a most impressive performance. At the end of the show Angelina was between Quincey and the conductor, taking the bows. Quincey was most surprised to find that she was bare foot - a cute light hearted moment to close with! As for Angelina performing with a big band, just 10 days prior she gave a full concert with a military band. That will come later, there are many incredible performances for you to experience at ages 10,11 and 12.
People wonder how the band reacted accompanying her on "I Put a Spell On You". Many of them had previously worked with or heard her. I believe this is her first exposure to all or most of this group. Think she shocked them?
I agree with the assumption about the first exposition, but I don't think it was a shock. Angelina was already very tall at the time, I don't believe the orchestra knew her exact age (only that she's young). To paraphrase Skavlan's question later that year: she doesn't look like a twelve-year-old, she doesn't act like a twelve-year-old - does she sound like a twelve-year-old? (apparently not...)
Here is the actual stage performance on London's 02 Arena - the video is poor quality but the audio is from the mixing board: ua-cam.com/video/uFtFHs2Dg5E/v-deo.html
Shes been in the company of giants all along and continues. I saw her at some event talking to Baz Luhrman. She released her Elvis cover the same day he released his movie. I can’t wait to see what they come up with.
There are a few other videos, also concerning the 'O2 Arena events' for the Jones' birthday. One of the sweetest I've ever seen, is one we can hardly see. That is, she is backstage, just ascending the top steps to Performance Level, then to stand with Stage Manager, waiting for her intro. She's wearing a full-length gown and 'Amy Winehouse' hair. She's 12 years old. There are thousands in the audience, and, it's very dark. But, there is Jules, the conductor and, to the right, Quincy Jones, being interviewed about his life in Music. He sneezes loudly. Audience laughter. Soon, the subject turns to Frank Sinatra, then Quincy's arrangement of 'Fly Me To The Moon' .....and Miss Jordan's call to take center stage. She sings the magnificent performance you heard grafted at the rehearsal. A pair of female legs wearing pumps interrupts the limited view we have. They are those of the next performer, Caro Emerald, a European jazz singer. Miss Jordan concludes, though we can not see, singing 'I love you', during which she gestures towards Quincy, visible on an audience video. She returns, stopping to gather Quincy's thanks before proceeding backstage to be greeted by Mom and Gran. This is it ua-cam.com/video/2VbPlOkadqY/v-deo.html
Feeling your emotions very well....Only Angelina does it to us...My God..she sings straight to our heart and soul....Thanks for the reaction to our angel Angelina...she is simply the best...👍👏
Yeah, so…. It’s probably an important lesson to learn - You should typically go with the “Angel” fan’s recommendations, and not second guess. 😁Thanks for including the enhanced studio version!👍
First, at 12, Angelina was one of the tallest people in that room. Second, very few pros would be likely to behave that professionally in the setup. Third, what makes this genius is that it is a recreation of Quincy Jones arrangement for Sinatra. Angelina stands there, has a couple of words with the conductor, and nails it, NOT her arrangement of the song mind you, but Quincy's.
The rebirth of music, Angelina Jordan. The music industry is often illuminated by the emergence of prodigious talents, and AJ seems to be one such luminary. Her journey, beginning with a record deal at the tender age of 14, speaks volumes about her exceptional abilities. The accolades from seasoned musicians like Greg Field, Chuck Berghofer, Shelly Berg, and Jimmy Z, who have shared the stage with legends and have a wealth of experience, further attest to AJ's extraordinary talent. Their collective endorsement, highlighting her storytelling prowess and comparing her to iconic figures such as Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, and Sinatra, places her in a league of remarkable performers. The dedicated studio in West Hollywood is a testament to her record company's belief in her potential. AJ's passion for her craft, choosing performance over anything else, and her gratitude for the opportunities reflect a maturity beyond her years. It's clear that AJ's blend of raw talent, dedication, and the support of industry veterans sets her on a path that could very well redefine musical artistry for her generation.
"Magical" is the word i use to describe this performance as well. it is also among my top five of her performances. I wish she would remember that voice (sans vocal fry) and let us hear it again from time to time.
I get just as emotional as you Aron. What an unbelievable talent!! Please react to her singing when your smiling, and you make me feel so young. God bless.
This is not the first time Angelina has performed with a large band/orchestra - she had already recorded an Album (age 11) and performed a concert (age 12) with the Staff Band of the Norwegian Armed Forces.
Don’t forget her KORK performances. I know I’m preaching to the choir, but most don’t realize that Angelina, as a National Treasure has performed with the top musicians around the world from the time she won NGT!
I know. But it wasn't caving in. I could have lasted all the way...I did it out of respect for you all and the vast number of "pretty please" type of requests
AJ at O2 Arena London. Angelina Jordan's performance at Quincy Jones' 85th birthday celebration at the O2 Arena in London is a testament to her remarkable talent and precocity. At just 12 years old, she not only performed "Fly Me To The Moon" using much of the arrangement that Quincy Jones wrote for Frank Sinatra with the poise and confidence of a seasoned artist, but she also showcased her skills in musical arrangement, a talent she has been honing since the age of 8. Her ability to instruct the orchestra demonstrates a deep understanding of the music and a clear vision for her performance, qualities that are indeed rare for someone so young. Angelina's dedication to her craft and her exceptional abilities makes her stand out as a truly extraordinary young musician in the world of music.
She just did that......Rehearsal Masterpiece. Can be also considered best cover alongside Frank Sinatra's. Who has done a cover better than this? I would like to hear someone better. Aaron she mastered it after all those performances of this song. Now it's perfection, I could see it in your eyes.
All of Angelina’s performances of Fly Me to The Moon are outstanding but my favorite is when she opens Quincy Jones 85th Birthday Celebration at O2 Arena! ua-cam.com/video/uFtFHs2Dg5E/v-deo.html and another view Backstage view: ua-cam.com/video/2VbPlOkadqY/v-deo.htmlsi=KBHx-yqLGord-0rb
Even after all this time you still don’t understand Angelina and her artistry! Angelia has been working with large groups of musicians and orchestras from the time she won NGT, and she always works with them, as the “Boss”, to get the arrangement and the accompaniment to her liking. Even with the Staff Band of the Norwegian Armed Forces, there is footage of her working with the conductor to get them on her page, and when you see the live performance she even still blows the minds of the musicians and the conductor! Angelina is considered a prodigy for a reason! And yes, Quincy did this arrangement for Frank Sinatra, as others have commented, but what they are missing is that he did the arrangement for Frank Sinatra accompanied by Count Basie and his orchestra. By the way, her performance was unannounced and she opened the show.
Hi Aron 👋 my fellow AJ Angel 😇 This is Rehearsal performance for the Quincy Jo es 85 Birthday Party in the London 02 Are ! Kevin I appreciate you very much but let's not make selfish statements like that 😜. God made Angelina to make Earth a better place and no one one soul could begin to steal it...I think this is the pain and happiness that Sara experienced backstage during her first NGT performance...she had to share her with the world
@@A-AronReacts Absolutely..but for you especially she does seem to be the perfect artist you’ve been searching for..you’ve found each other..it’s a joy to watch 🙏
This rehearsal is being conducted in a very historical sight. 18th Century, St.Lukes Church. It's been refurbished in recent years and is currently used by the London Symphony Orchestra... This whole occasion must have been quite an experience for Angelina. Such an honor to be performing for Quincy Jones while being surrounded by artists from around the World.
Angelina is just too good! Her tone is a perfect gift, her musical intelligence isn't something that we can measure because she is the standard, she sets it as she puts in the work along her path a an artist. Angelina is just so damn addictive!
This answers your question "How will she sound with a genuine, full, big band?" Answer: Perfect! In my opinion, this is what Angelina was born to do: sing a classic jazz standard with world-class musicians backing her up. I believe this should be a textbook example for college and conservatory classes in jazz vocal performance. This is how it's done!
This isn’t her arrangement, it is the arrangement Quincy did for Frank, and of course they were using it in honor of Quincy’s birthday. There is another video of Angelina backstage before she goes on stage to sing this at the actual performance for Quincy, with him sitting on the front of the stage. There is also a video of her auditioning for Quincy backstage. You need to see all of these to get the full picture of this performance. The first one you watched is Grandma Mery’s cell phone, and of course it couldn’t pick up her vocals from that far away. Then for the actual performance there wasn’t a good video, so that’s why they married the two together of the rehearsal. This has been my all-time very favorite performance of this song by her. Perfection!
The 1st one was not from Grandma Mery. She & Michael were down on the floor with Angelina while someone (probably Sara) was recording from the balcony. You can see Mery filming with her phone down on the floor, but I've never seen that video from her.
The arrangements are the same because it is the same arranger, Quincey Jones. Angelina may have altered the arrangement for her own show, but for this appearance she is singing Q's arrangement. Since it is his birthday, she is singing for. Have you seen the face to face first meeting of these two? Here is the link to that below. I do not know if you knew but Quincey specifically requested that Angelina be among the many performers honoring Quincey on his birthday. He has said of Angelina, "she is the best vocalist he's heard since Michael Jackson." As far as the tears, that is a normal occurrence. I've been watching her videos for over 7 yrs. and she will start and turn a phrase that is just so exquisite that the only response you could have had are tears. So never feel badly for having the only reaction to have. I had to come back after watching the last part with you and I noticed I'm laughing at the same time I'm crying. I realize that I am laughing because I find it hysterical that a 12 year old can sing a song that has no business handling at all, and not just handle it, but completely own it. ua-cam.com/video/BmNroX_p2b8/v-deo.html Angelina singing for Quincey.
Aron, having followed your journey of following Angelina's, I can't count the number of times you have reacted to her doing this song from ages 8 on. There must be at least seven or eight performances, maybe more. Watching her progression and her evolution is what has captivated the angels and why you have so many that listen to her on a continuous basis. She has other performances beyond this, but for me, I agree with you in that this version is the culmination. It is blasphemy to some but I prefer this to Sinatra's version! She has that innate ability to capture the essence of the music and the lyrics and convey them in a way that nobody else can, and at 12 years old!. Peace out.
It has taken you a while to get to this and you have missed a lot but this isn't even her best, though way up there. You have heard how amazing and magical her voice is as a singer but I can't wait till you realize how brilliant she is as a song writer and have you bought and read her book? She is the youngest published author in Norway illustrated by her grandmother Mery. All proceeds go to children's charity I believe.
Yep, bought her book like the first week I reacted to her 😄. I actually reacted to her songwriting (million miles) already. It's available to level up members on my site and will be public soon

What are the chances of re-named video titles to song name to ease recollection. Right now they're ALL titled jazz musician... And then your name below it. So kinda twice. Sifting through the start of the AJ Mountain is a trick but your reactions are worth additional viewings. 😊
Unfortunately judging by the camera movement I imagine this was recorded by a camera phone. And when you try to record music on a cell phone that has strong bass it drowns out the higher frequencies.
MAGICAL VOICE!!!!!!!
This VOICE IS INSANE!!!!!

I believe the audio on the second track is her actual stage performance dubbed over the rehearsal video
I think is actually the rehearsal one, the first one is recorded by a cel phone
@@michinawi22able @hdctx was correct the second version is the actual BBC Radio live recording dubbed over the rehearsal audio.
This is the arrangement that Jones did for Frank Sinatra so many years ago. Quincy requested that Angelina sing to this one.

Feeling your emotions very well....Only Angelina does it to us...My God..she sings straight to our heart and soul....Thanks for the reaction to our angel Angelina...she is simply the best...👍👏
you said it: it's magical !!!
"She liked the moon, because, like herself, it shined it's brightest when no one was around to see.!!!" - Miss Angelina Jordan Angel Fan's Family...
Yeah, so…. It’s probably an important lesson to learn - You should typically go with the “Angel” fan’s recommendations, and not second guess. 😁Thanks for including the enhanced studio version!👍
So, she was sitting there with Grandma Mery and Uncle Mike, so mom Sara must be recording this.
Awesome reaction Aron!
Yes very much the Old Blue Eyes version, of which I'm very familiar especially the ending.❤❤❤❤👣
Understood. But it was the first time I had seen her so wasn't entirely sure. Thanks
As an aside, I’m glad you’ve jumped ahead. We were all wondering when you’d cave in to that urge. You’ve been remarkably disciplined!

Yep!!!
Wonderful performance!
Your last version was actually sound recorded from her actual opening performance for Quincy Jones birthday celebration
All of Angelina’s performances of Fly Me to The Moon are outstanding but my favorite is when she opens Quincy Jones 85th Birthday Celebration at O2 Arena! ua-cam.com/video/uFtFHs2Dg5E/v-deo.html and another view Backstage view: ua-cam.com/video/2VbPlOkadqY/v-deo.htmlsi=KBHx-yqLGord-0rb
Go watch How Great Thou Art❤🥰
This was the first time I saw her at this age and with a big band. And no, I don't begin to understand her...does anyone? Haha thank you
Even after all of Aaron’s reactions yiu still don’t get him…

Kevin I appreciate you very much but let's not make selfish statements like that 😜. God made Angelina to make Earth a better place and no one one soul could begin to steal it...I think this is the pain and happiness that Sara experienced backstage during her first NGT performance...she had to share her with the world

❤❤❤Love Angelina❤❤❤
Aron, I can’t wait to see your face when you react to “Lovin’ you” at 11 if I’m not mistaken…🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Aron, please bud, this is a must..drop whatever you’re doing and check this one out!
Peace out.
Shhh … I prefer it too!
👍👏❤️
❤️❤️❤️❤️👣
It has taken you a while to get to this and you have missed a lot but this isn't even her best, though way up there. You have heard how amazing and magical her voice is as a singer but I can't wait till you realize how brilliant she is as a song writer and have you bought and read her book? She is the youngest published author in Norway illustrated by her grandmother Mery. All proceeds go to children's charity I believe.
Yep, bought her book like the first week I reacted to her 😄. I actually reacted to her songwriting (million miles) already. It's available to level up members on my site and will be public soon
So I guess there was zero video out there out there of the actual performance night?
I have seen two.. One very blurry from the audience and one from back stage (none with professional sound recording).

Hi Aron,

"Fly Me To The Moon" is somehow her inofficial signature song ;-)
In the following list you will find several performances in several arrangements of her (!) - only for the birthdayparty for Quincy Jones in the O2-arena London she sung to the arrangement of Quincy of course :-D

What are the chances of re-named video titles to song name to ease recollection. Right now they're ALL titled jazz musician... And then your name below it. So kinda twice. Sifting through the start of the AJ Mountain is a trick but your reactions are worth additional viewings. 😊
There is another louder version of this same rehearsal.
You mean what I included in the 2nd half?
On your short list? After 6 years my short list stands at 214. Yours will too
Unfortunately judging by the camera movement I imagine this was recorded by a camera phone. And when you try to record music on a cell phone that has strong bass it drowns out the higher frequencies.
