I really appreciate this gentle routine. I totally agree that people often think that only painful stretches will cure their aching muscles which is just not true. As a bodywork therapist I hear this all the time; but the body only needs small tweaks to start self healing.

My lower back has been spasming for three weeks and I continued to work long hours sitting at my desk at home without taking time out for any yoga asanas and I only took a walk once these past couple of months. It got so bad today that I was hunched over everytime I got up from the patio chair. I did this sequence once with one more other 20 minute YT yoga sequence by Yoga with Adrienne for the lower back and ham strings (her sequence is different) and now my lower back stopped spasming. Will have to do these everyday for a week at least. And the. Every other day when I'm all better. Namaste to you and all.

Tim! I i have chronic upper back pain and yoga has been helping so much (herniated disc and musculoskeletal problems), thank you for this video it definitely gave me some mid day relief. Now that i'm nice and loose I will give more attention to my posture.

I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't been on the mat for 4 weeks!! I have spinal stenosis so I'm looking forward to doing this practice. I will be going to day 1 and starting at the beginning but I'll be doing this tomorrow. I'm an animal lover and when I started to practice and learned of Ahimsa I made it my mision to eliminate all products in my home that were tested on animals and replace them with cruelty free products. It took a short while but I achieved one of my goals. You're absolutely right, we shouldn't be so hard on ourselves. Thank you for teaching me this, it's another bit of wisdom I can carry with me and share with others 🧘🏼♀️💜
