The merica hat is the secret to good tone..
Snowman374th Shut up its a joke
Love southern rock… probably my favorite rock genre too. I’m from Buffalo, NY and it reminds me of being 16, sneaking beers and hiding them outside with my best friend and his sister and her friend Tracy. Kim and me… then Tracy with Jesse as we listened to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Jesse didn’t mind I hooked up with his sister because he was busy with Tracy. This was in the late 90’s… was probably the most diverse decade and generation for music genres
Wow, you really captured what southern rock really is about
One of the best tutorials I've seen yet!! I subscribed!
good to hear some real southern rock tones
you need to do more Lynyrd Skynyrd song brother sounds good man!! my favorite band of all time bro!! you need to head up towards Kingsport Tennessee bro and jam around here!!! keep on rocking those southern rock tunes bro and fly on my Freebird brother!!!! 🦅🎸🦅

Just want to say thanks, just what I needed when I needed it ! Thumbs up from the good ol boy network in Errol NH..WILD BILL ON THE HILL
I know it's been a while, but thanks for giving your pick info in the description. I've been experimenting lately and finding it makes a HUGE difference in tone and playability.
Love it! Great job and my wife and I out of the blue are coming to Mount Airy on a ride about from Floirda looking for mountain cabins.
I live up in the other “Mayberry” of North Carolina, Brevard NC it’s amazing here, kinda boring to grow up in but still cool place to live if you just wanna play music and raise a family and go to work with good guys you’ve got along with since elementary school
I really enjoyed this! Great lesson, great tones, and great playing. U should do more on southern rock playing.
Thanks, man. I definitely need to post some more of this.
@@zebsnydermusic You are welcome! Southern rock, blues, and old school metal are my fave styles. A little jazz and classical influence as well. Grew up with southern rock and country. Thanks to my dad!
The solo lines are actually an Eric Clapton thing, Collins and Rossington were both huge fans of his.
Sweet tones...
Thanks for the lesson, im a brazilian singer and got a band with southern rock roots based on Lynyrd and Allman Brothers. We're trying to put those roots in other classic rock musics. Have you ever thought about put the southern rock style in another songs?
Get out of here
great job and im gonna use the lik its a great one. good advise!!
Great playing man!
Gotta new Sub rite here Zeb...
Thanx Man !!
Keep it up 🤘👍🤘
this was a good video dude
Nice brother sounds good.
You look very like Allen Collins across thee eye buddy! Power to You🇺🇸
Man been wanting to bring it back, if you ain't busy. Need some more good music. You got some chops. Guitar and vocals, think a mix of Toy Caldwell and Ronnie Van Zant. From Texas but can travel
Pretty much what Country Music settings are for an amp, I call it 7-5-4 or 7-5-5 for T-M-B settings. What I found was that a solid state amp and the Gain has to be somewhere dialed at 2-3 for Low Gain. A tube amp would need to be higher on the clean channel to get to the edge of breakup. I have to Southern Rock with P90's & a LP Special I. I live in a single coil world & don't have anything with Humbucklers. Reverb is another setting that isn't cavernous effect. Anyway, the amp I'm using is a Pyle PVAMP60. Clean channel is pretty much the Fender Silverface Twin Reverb sounding.
Dude that amp is killer. I’m mean a peavey duece, or mace are cool but it’s just Marshall Plexi with a solid state preamp. When I saw Marty Stuart him and cousin Kenny Vaughn were both using old small fender 1x12’s I think silver face Deluxe reverbs and at times Princeton blackfaces! So you’re in good company with what your playing now. Keep up the good shit brother! Peace!
very helpful thanks
Cool.
Great Lesson!! Which Pickups does your LPT have 57's or the Burstbuckers?
Thanks man. They're the 57s.
That 'Merica hat is really the key to that sweet southern tone !!!
Great tips, your right the tone isn't very overdriven, its very punchy and played loud which gives the illusion 2 some people its distorted. If u ever get a chance to get a mace or a duece make sure it's the T series with the series input and not the VT series of amps as they used the T, I've had several vt amps over the years and they just dont compare to the older t series for tone. After I got my 320t Mace my Marshalls said farewell..
I'd love to play through a Mace sometime, man.
Nice shirt!
Hey now ya got me by playing blackberry! Sign me up
I hear you. Blackberry Smoke is one of my favorite bands of all time. Shoot me an email at zeb@snyderfamilyband.com if you wanna do some lessons.
You seem to know alot about good tone!
Yeah Man
Hey mate what was your settings for the amp for the treble mids and bass ?
That's what I'm after
do the tabs please your lesson is great but hard to follow
what model Fender Blues Junior was that you were getting some good sounds.. did you have pedals or were you just running through the amp
That's just the basic Fender Blues Junior IV. 15 watts, 1x12. I wasn't using any pedals, just letting the amp do all the work.
@@zebsnydermusic A Little Blues Jr really impressive nice clean sound but good punch.. and only a little 15 w
is that tube or solid state? I know they kind of made a few of them that are non tube newer..like the tube driven but it's more digital I think it's the fender's champ amp reissue..
but this is a perfect example if it is a tube of a lot of times were 15 watts is plenty unless you're trying to Rock Hollywood bowl or Carnegie Hall lol..
@@truckerkevthepaidtourist No, it's all tube. Real spring reverb unit too.
Beaut!!
Try the new anthem pedal it’s gets you all 3 skynyrd tone check it out
Boy you can play!
👍👏🙌
I need lessons like now please if you can read this help me I'm trying to make music readers welcomes please respond
Didn't know Steve Gaines was still alive
Someone had to say it i was gonna say it but you done beat me to it lol but awesome video man!!
I know someone who has a Mace head.
Beard game
Southern rock lesson! Should have the Confederate flag on dude, not the stars and stripes.
how stereotypical just because he's from the south??
Trucker Kev The Paid Tourist no because southern rock
Ignorance at its best. I was born and raised in the south and served in the military. I don't wear confederate anything. For some it's a tradition thing or historical thing, but I wear an American flag. Some of you think everyone in the south has a Confederate flag flying. That's ridiculous. I've seen maybe 2 or 3 in years.
@@Justafeller maybe because it is being criminalised like a nazi flag or something brother,
