Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ TobySpotting, your Barcelona video is superb! Your keen eye for detail and excellent camera work truly captured the essence of aviation spotting. The commentary was engaging, offering valuable insights without being overwhelming. Keep up the fantastic work!
wonderful flight reviews.Incidents like this happen sometimes in planes but I have to congrats SAS for the way they helped you and other passengers to overcome this problem with your flight.cheers from Athens
Thank you very much for the kind words. I am currently editing the next video 😃 SAS did a really good job on handeling this incident, and as a result of that I think they get more returning customers that others. Kind regards, Toby.
Amazing job on the video! And I must say that having an emergency where you land back at your departure airport is so cool to experience, definitely if your departure airport is in a hot country like Spain
Dang what are the odds of being involved! You are lucky that were was no actual fire cause if there was, that could’ve been your last day. Because if there is an onboard fire, there is no way of surviving that and the pilots would’ve have no control. I would be so shocked and surprised, kinda terrified to. Glad you are safe!
Thanks mate, appreciate it! 😀 As I said in the video, I was quite confused when we extended our spoilers during the climb. Thanks for watching the video!! 😎
I know, I just pointed it out because it's always nice not to need a pushback as it takes some time to do the full procedure, and on a 25-30 min flight is a bit pointless :) Thanks for watching :D
@@tobyspotting4161I fly with SAS frequently. If you have any delay or what not, instead of filing a lawsuit, you can contact them directly through the website. They always offer 2x the price of the compensation in SAS Bonus points, which means if you’re a frequent SAS-flyer, you get a lot out of it. One time I got the equivalent to €2000 in points :)
The captain actually uttered the word Fire while still in the air, explaining the return. I don't think that was professional. He should've kept the explanation more general.
hmm... not sure. Maybe... but when a statement is too general my fantasy should take over :) The captain sounded pretty calm and maybe i should prefer a briefing like this.
@@survivallaar1986 but then I’d be wondering where that fire is, like, is it near our fuel tanks…. i’ll take the fantasy and feel a little bit more comfortable 🙂

"We might have a fire" - Scariest words to hear on a flight
Yea... Quite some words.
Fedt med flightdeck annoucments er med ;)
💪
Nice Trip Report!
Thank you!! 🙏🤗
How eventful! Wow!
Sure was 🤗
BCN is my home. 00:03 i didnt know we have aurigny service now? Or is that 72 chartered? Edit: you mention it later. Interesting..
Yea, was quite cool to see it there! :)
Great video and commentary!!! really enjoyed it
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it :D
cool flying adventures
Indeed!! 😀
Emergency landings is good to save passengers on board life's ❤❤❤
100%, SAS did a Great job
So funny. Pilot says there might be a fire. Passengers hardly react and continue talking calmly to each other.
Yea 🤣
Great video and channel, just discovered it!
Glad you enjoy it!
Beautiful content, thanks for sharing! ❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it :)
very nice video , you are so underrated . What gear do you use for your trip reports ?
Thank you so much mate! I use a combination of my iPhone 13 and my Canon 80D, however mainly my iPhone.
this gives me trektrendy vibes
Oh yea? 😊
Yeah the music and just general vibe of your soothing voice XD@@tobyspotting4161
SAS 💙💙💙

ATRs don't necessarily need a push back, they can reverse themselves 😉
I know, I just pointed it out because it's always nice not to need a pushback as it takes some time to do the full procedure, and on a 25-30 min flight is a bit pointless :) Thanks for watching :D
Good video, if you haven't already you should claim your EU late-flight compensation! :)
Thanks a lot, however it’s already been taken care off 😀
Is that still 250€ or already 400€ in EU261 terms? How was the procedure going with SAS?
Due to the distance it's 400, however it was quite a fuss but received after a long dialog with them.
Looks like Star Alliance is always a hussle... It might change now with the SkyTeam shift. @@tobyspotting4161
Gonna be Nice if SAS join flying blue 🫣
That'll be a nice EU261 claim :)
Done and arrived 🤗
Nice! 220 eur or is BCN-ARN just far enough for the higher bracket?@@tobyspotting4161

quick question why did they keep the spoilers extended after the emergency landing?
I'm not quite sure, maybe they just forgot.
yeahh maybe but i hav never ever seen that done before in any aircraft ive flown and i fly all the time @@tobyspotting4161
Cause they were planning on returning back to the Airport before the Captain did tell the Cabin about this. Nice video.😊
you hear all the swedish pepole in the backround (i know this because im from sweden).
Och alla är helt lugna 😮 det hade inte jag varit 😬
Me in the marshaller car at CPH 17:19
Sick!! 💪
Godt med flere danskere herpå :)
Helt klart, velkommen til 😃
thanks :) og starter selv nu her osse :) @@tobyspotting4161
Er du dansker? I can hear the Danish accent from a mile away 😆
Yes 🇩🇰😉
Den er da ikke så slem igen, den kunne da være meget meget værre :)
Aurigny ATR in Barcelona?
Yea, I was quite suprised myself - Long journey, not quite sure What it was doing there.
Interesting 👍✈️ Hi from Russia 🇷🇺🙋♂️
Sure was - G’day to you 😎
Fire in Avionics?
You wouldn't have returned to Barcelona if that was the case; the aircraft would not have been flyable.
It was a possible fire in the avionics, and they don’t just stop working as there are several systems. However it was as a precaution we returned.
Remember to claim your EU261 compensation
Good thing you write it to people 😀 However I already had my case accepted by SAS 😎
Stockholm or Copenhagen? 😑
The Emergency happened on BCN-ARN SK1812, so I’m not quite sure what you are on about.
The captain actually uttered the word Fire while still in the air, explaining the return. I don't think that was professional. He should've kept the explanation more general.
Indeed, would most probably be a trigger for any nervous flyers. Thanks for watching 😎

@@survivallaar1986 but then I’d be wondering where that fire is, like, is it near our fuel tanks…. i’ll take the fantasy and feel a little bit more comfortable 🙂
Agreed, there are rules to follow and a vague announcement mentioning there also being a possible fire is unnecessary to share to the cabin.
Shows poor crm training. But let alone if yiu ever see cockpit clips you can see they have pretty bad crm/sop structure @survivallaar1986
3:55 that was the lamest announcement ever.
How so?
If you speak slower your commentary will sound better.
Thank you for the feedback, I’ll keep that in mind for the next video 🤗
