Good day Stig, Please show how you check te brake pads' status at the wheels of the plain. Thanks, we learn so much at your good adventures. Braam from South Africa.
As an FO in Europe on the a320 family, it’s absolutely fascinating to see the work that goes on behind the scenes. You guys are truly the unsung heroes of aviation and I’m absolutely loving your videos - keep it up!!
Really enjoying your videos. I am a retired Shift Manager/licensed Senior Reactor Operator in a nuclear power plant. Your explanations of various systems, and the complexity (or simplicity) of various system designs is great. The average passenger does not care for what goes into their flight, but only are concerned about what they will get to eat or what the movies are on the planes. I, on the other hand, devour each of your videos. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much Mark and I 100% agree with how you see aircraft, I do the same thing. We can all agree that aircraft are beautiful but in my mind, it extends beyond the aesthetics, in my mind it transcends into the engineering aspect and how it work. Why it work and how I fix it. When I say “marvel of Engineering” I mean exactly that. Absolutely incredible
As an avgeak and mechanic myself ( A 320 & A 330 families ) in Germany i really like that filming. I really know the Boeing fleet and i flew with every type except the 707 but i never ever worked on one. I only flew with them as a passenger. Last was a 77W. Great filming. 👍

Actually! I do have a question. I notice a lot of the planes use the Air X tires by Michelin. Does the tire manufacturer just have some sort of agreement with Boeing/Airbus for their planes?

I work for a company that stops fatigue failure in aircraft components and am also totally committed to doing the job, and appreciate the privilege. Aerospace engineering is mind blowing. Those like you who maintain these machines are AMAZING.
Thank you so much for sharing this side of Aviation that I don't usually get to see. It's great seeing videos of the engineering of major parts like enginese on UA-cam, but when a person like you comes along to simplify and showcase even the most obscure things nobody would think of like the chiller for the galley carts you showed and how the work it satisfies my inner curiosity so much. Thank you for your videos!
I got an A&P license from a little school down the road from LAX in Inglewood about 10 years ago but never worked a day as an A&P.thanks for documenting this stig
I have thousands of hours flying Boeing(737-400/500) and Airbus(A320/321 and A330) and when i came off the 737 i never thought id like Airbus but now id never go back. They're a much more modern aircraft with a way bigger cockpit, the comfort of no control column and the luxury of a tray table to work and eat on!
@StigAviation So reliable as well.I can remember many delays and cancellations when I flew the 737 but the Airbus is ultra reliable. And once you get the hang of flying it,it's a great airplane to land in heavy wind. Keep up the great work,I love your enthusiasm!
Thanx again for sharing. Working for Ford almost 17 years & hating it I finally found a new career @Sony in electronics. Then walking in the building one day with my mgr. standing there waiting for me. Being told after almost 25 years out of the blue you have 60 days to find a new position I was devastated. It’s 14 years now & I still miss my customers & coworkers. Reterment sucks. So keep your memories & most of all keep your sense of humor!
I know that we are getting an abbreviated view of what you do, and I am loving it. Question... I know that each plane is different, but how long do you actually work on each plane.
Depending on how much ground time the aircraft has, most aircraft that come in on a turnaround have at least 45 minutes to an hour, that’s my timetable to do my inspection and walk around
Huge respect my friend! I've been fascinated with aircraft from childhood. Always wanted to be aircraft mechanic, but alas, i found a comfortable spot in auto maintenence. Thank you for all you guys do to keep us safe! 👍👍
Been trying to find peoples who share their work at the airport. Stumbled upon this channel. It's like a gift from god. Love your storytelling and explanations on how things work around. Stig, are the engines specific to a right side engine or left side engine or can an engine be mounted on any side? You would think it would be specific but it would make sense if they were universal. Just curious, thanks.
I love everything about this! Can't believe I'd never found Stig Aviation before this very day!! Never hesitate to re-explain or demonstrate things you've covered before- if I've heard it before it's always good to check/test myself and look for details I missed.

We know you can't tell us everything but thank you for all you do.
Thank you very much.
American Airlines don't have themselves any gem, they have a diamond with this guy
I’m just a wrench my friend. Just a wrench. But thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind words.
I totally understand your enthusiasm for these amazing machines, and what it feels like to be near them. Please, keep talking, sharing, and describing. I work for a company that stops fatigue failure in aircraft components and am also totally committed to doing the job, and appreciate the privilege. Aerospace engineering is mind blowing. Those like you who maintain these machines are AMAZING.
Thank you so much for being here and watching and I will do my best to keep on showing and teaching what I can
@@StigAviation By the way, you don't talk too much 👍🏻
Thank you so much for sharing this side of Aviation that I don't usually get to see.
I am very happy that I can take you with me on these adventures and I appreciate you for being here and watching
I got an A&P license from a little school down the road from LAX in Inglewood about 10 years ago but never worked a day as an A&P.thanks for documenting this stig
You know your license hold forever. You are grandfathered into it. You can always come back and work on jets.
I went to that school. What you doing now?
@@StigAviationAre they enforcing the rule you have to work 6 months and can't sign for work if you go 2 years without using license ?
I have thousands of hours flying Boeing(737-400/500) and Airbus(A320/321 and A330) and when i came off the 737 i never thought id like Airbus but now id never go back.
They're a much more modern aircraft with a way bigger cockpit, the comfort of no control column and the luxury of a tray table to work and eat on!
It’s a very lovely aircraft for maintenance as well. Very user friendly and less cluttered when it comes to troubleshooting issues.
Life is unpredictable sometimes. It takes you into different directions. Definitely hold on to the good memories.
Im happy I found this channel, You guys are the unsung heros, thank you for all the hard work and the cool videos. Be well man
Thank you so much, I appreciate that and I appreciate you being here
I know that we are getting an abbreviated view of what you do, and I am loving it.
Question... I know that each plane is different, but how long do you actually work on each plane.
Depending on how much ground time the aircraft has, most aircraft that come in on a turnaround have at least 45 minutes to an hour, that’s my timetable to do my inspection and walk around
Wow, not a lot of time. Great work on the videos, loving every one.
Wow, i found my new favorite channel. What airport is this? Seems to be a good deal of international as well as domestic traffic. 😊
Welcome aboard Alex, and this is the LAX airport.
LAX. Los Angeles CA.
Yay. A mechanic not just pilot video. Thank Stig & UA-cam.
Love hearing engines power down :)
Me too. Especially the CFM leap 1A
Huge respect my friend! I've been fascinated with aircraft from childhood. Always wanted to be aircraft mechanic, but alas, i found a comfortable spot in auto maintenence. Thank you for all you guys do to keep us safe! 👍👍
Thank you very much Scott, it’s a pleasure having you here and I’m glad you’re enjoying it
Been trying to find peoples who share their work at the airport. Stumbled upon this channel. It's like a gift from god. Love your storytelling and explanations on how things work around. Learnt so many new things from watching your videos and the aircrafts looks so amazing from the ground! Great video! you're doing amazing!
Thanks and welcome
you just might be the coolest man in the world
Far from being cool. I’m just a wrench 🔧
I appreciate the "nitro button" on the throttles lol
😅 NOS just like fast and the furious 🤣
I love your videos man I can’t stop watching them whenever I have time to spare I like to watch something that doesn’t make me feel stupid so this is right up my alley
I’m glad you are enjoying it. Thank you for watching
“When in doubt, hit it with a hammer.” So true. Fixed quite a few things with a hammer. My favorite being when landing lights get stuck on with the switch off. Give it a love tap and she’ll shut right off. Great videos
Someone in a comments said percussion maintenance. That cracked me up 😅. And thank you.
And A Great Big
Thanks for Your
Expertise.
You have A Extremely Important
Job. 👍
Big thanks
Getting my fix.
You had me itching
I aim to please, thank you for watching.
Stig, are the engines specific to a right side engine or left side engine or can an engine be mounted on any side? You would think it would be specific but it would make sense if they were universal. Just curious, thanks.
This is a very great question Rick, yes, engines are interchangeable from left to right.
@@StigAviation Thank you !
I love everything about this! Can't believe I'd never found Stig Aviation before this very day!!
Never hesitate to re-explain or demonstrate things you've covered before- if I've heard it before it's always good to check/test myself and look for details I missed.
I am so happy that you are enjoying it and learning. It’s a pleasure to have you here.
One of the coolest channels I accidentally found on UA-cam. Subscribed.
I love planes. The insight to how they work in a more detail is extremely welcome. Keep up the great work!
Thank you very much. I appreciate you being here.
I work at the ramp at a small airport in Uruguay. I really enjoy my work (most of the times) and so do my partners, and fun and passion makes everything better! Aviation is the only place I've seen sooo much people working in the same building really sharing the passion for what they do, and your videos show exactly how I feel about my job, it's marvellous and beautiful. Keep it up man, much respect!
Aviation is a very unique place where a diversity of people can come together for one unifying cause. To make it fly.
3 weeks ago, I came across one of your videos and watched it for the first time. Just a few minutes into it, I was completely hooked. Now, every chance I get to watch your videos, I watch! I'm in aviation, both commercial (ramp agent) and corporate, and it's my passion. Thanks for what you're doing, and thanks for sharing your day with us. It's easy to see the care you put into your work, and thanks for being a great individual.
Thank you so much for being here and coming with me on these adventures David. I appreciate you. Stay safe out there on the ramp 🤙
What does an Etops check consist of? what’re you looking for?
Mostly emergency equipment and double checking redundancy systems to make sure everything is functioning properly. I made a segment for this in one of my videos. I explain it all
Thanks Stig!
Nice and informative, like always. love your channel!
The world needs definitely more people like you, so kind and humble! 😊
Once again I’m humbled by your kind words. I appreciate you
Good stuff! I am an aviation geek too. I am an Avionics Electronics Technician and I appreciate you sharing your experience! My Dad worked for Boeing for 38 years before he had a heart attack and passed away. I still have many of his tools too. New subscriber. Thanks!
My condolences for your dad. I know the feeling. It’s hard to lose a piece of you. But I’m glad you are here and enjoying the love of aviation.
All that time, effort and paperwork because the FO was lazy about moving the thrust levers into the idle detent position!
I just found your channel….and love it! Subscribed within seconds. You do an amazing job explaining the maintenance side of commercial aviation. And you have a great attitude and sense of humor in doing so! Keep up the great work.
Thank you very much, I appreciate your kind words. It’s a pleasure to have you here.
Exactly Sir, it is all about learning for all of us who love aviation and these amazing pieces of engineering. You are a true example of dedication and
appreciation of this excepcional industry. technology. Your enthusiasm is out of the ordinary.
Thank you so much
Many thanks. I appreciate your kind words Carlos. It means a lot to me.
Mate as an aviation fanatic who experienced a very intense psychological episode while on a flight, I just want to say that I would have loved to have had your videos in the process of getting my fear of flying under control. I am so glad to say I love being on a plane again, it was a hell of a process but I'm there again. Your videos will definitely have helped comfort so many uneasy flyers, I love your demeanor, I love your content, I love watching what you do, this is absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for uploading these.
Thank you so much Scott, I am very happy that these videos are able to help you to conquer your fear of flying. Thank you for being here and thank you for being a person who loves Aviation.
For one so young, your wisdom shines. Do what makes you happy, enjoy your job and make it a discipline in which you desire to be and ascribe to figuring things out in not only a formal theoretical manner but in a practical form as so many differnet things can happen. You sir, are a fine example of a superb human being. Thank you for your kindness in sharing and for your constant posts on the finest institution in the world, aviation......at least to us airpolane lovers.
I wish I was younger, 25 years of fixing but I’m still in love with aviation.
@@StigAviation Please know that your dad must be very proud and so happy that you are part of such a fine profession. He does not have to worry as you amounted to one fine character. Always follow your own advice and despite the management issues that dominate any business, especially aviation, always continue calmly and make your path enjoyable, as you have taught us. Happy trails!
I just came across this channel and boy am I glad I did! This is absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much Stig!
Glad you enjoy it! Thank you so much for being here Jake.
Stig your videos are absolutely fantastic. You make us feel as if we’re AME’s in training. I’m going to start wearing PPE while watching your channel for my virtual reality experience 😊
STIG VR 😅. That would be cool.
35:35 hey man. You’re human. We don’t mind the talking to yourself when you record or the awkwardness. You’re doing an incredible job and showing an aspect of aviation that many people tend to look over. Keep up the great work. I for one am loving it.
Thank you so much Melvin
Just discovered this channel browsing thru delta taxi and takeoff videos I love the energy knowledge and the value you get from these videos definitely will be binging these !
Many thanks Joe. I appreciate you being here.
Wow, I always enjoy this type of videos. Feeling really lucky that YT recommended to me your channel you earn my following, please keep up the work. Good luck!! ❤
Thank you very much for being here. I’m glad you are enjoying it.
I’ve literally just found your channel. Let me tell you, I’ve never been so jealous of a man I’ve just watched cleaning out a toilet. You have the coolest job ever. Hands down.
Is a fun job, but it’s also very challenging. But I love a good challenge.
Such a fantastic video! Never even seen anything like this on UA-cam. Super interesting!! Thanks

Excellent video.. Thanks for sharing it .. dude you have the BestJob in the industry!!
Thank you so much, and yes, indeed I do love this job
interesting, entertaining, and educational - what more can one ask for. please keep up the great work 👍
Thanks, will do! I appreciate you being here
I am a sailor and I travel around the world by plane to catch my ships..i flew on 737 max all the way to 747-400,from airbus a320 to A380!! I love airplanes and this is the best youtube channel!
Thank you kindly. And as a sailor you could relate to aviation. Aviation was born from maritime history. Hence we have a lot of the same terminology.
I think this is one of the best UA-cam channels I’ve found ever!!! This is what UA-cam should be about!!!! ❤
Thank you so much for the kind words. I’m really glad you’re enjoying it.
@@StigAviation honestly, I wish I chose this as a career over being a professional drummer. I was in a band called the switches, I’ve had to take many multiple flights around America whilst I was on tour! The scariest one was a really small plane that we got in on the way to Portland, where we met The Dandy Warhols! It was like being in a small tube of metal!!! lol 😂
Love the channel. Really nice explanation of everything. Thank you for taking a time to let us know everything in details. 👍👍
It’s my pleasure. Thank you for taking time and watching
This is amazing. Just came across your channel and subscribed. 3 months ago I started a new job, selling airplane parts for airlines and MROs, mainly 37, 320 and ATR parts. Your channel helps me gain a better understanding of important work behind the scenes. Thank you, and keep it up!
Much appreciated and thank you so much for being here. I’m glad you’re enjoying it.
I just found your channel a few days ago, and I just started school to get my A&P License. Now I really can't wait to get into the field! I'm so glad I found this channel, and thank you for making these videos. Keep em' coming!
Keep up the good studies, you’ll be doing this soon. And don’t hesitate to ask questions. I’m here to help.
INSANE that this Channel doesnt have more subs. You got mine right away. I love watching pilot videos and SOP procedures, but this perspective makes me respect you guys even more. Informative and fun to watch. You really know you stuff. Keep em’ Comming 😊
Thank you very much. I appreciate you watching and being here
Thank you for doing this, it is entertaining to watch you enjoy and share what you do. It is also interesting to see all the different parts of the aircraft and learn what it does.
Glad you enjoyed it and it give you a deeper appreciation for aircraft
I’ve been desperate to find a new UA-camr to watch, you sir have itched that need, THANK YOU
It’s a pleasure to have you here. Thank you for watching Jay
Love it dude. Really appreciate what you do; so many of us don’t know what happens with aircraft maintenance, but you’ve helped us learn.
Thanks for the great job you do!!
Thank you for being here and enjoying the adventures.
@@StigAviation you have the kind of experience that can’t be taught. It’s learned and earned. Thanks for sharing that.
