5:55 A reminder to myself. Start by grounding and orienting. Then, pendulation.

OMG. You are brilliant at explaining these concepts from somatic experiencing. I’ve read the book, in an unspoken voice, but with the way you explain things, and even brought in new techniques it made a whole world of difference in my understanding.
I forwarded this video to my nephew, who suffers from panic attacks.have suffered with anxiety most of my life so extremely helpful information.
I am trying to feel sensations rather than turn to food for pretend comfort. Thank you thank you. I also became a cranial sacral therapist, so thank you so much for helping me help others.

Thank you, this technique brought calmness to my entire body. And it also made me realize how much I am holding my breath which alone feels constraining!

I fully appreciate the total walk through rather than just an explanation. I needed the guidance. So very helpful for me. I'm able to replay and follow this practice daily. Thankyou.

    This was insane synchronicity.
Before you spoke about it I choose to feel the sadness in my chest and my happy place was in my... left foot!!!😂😂
I either tapped into your energy or you were here as a divine guide for me❤

I have been using pendulation for about 2 weeks and find it an amazing tool. My chronic obsessive thoughts have lessened dramatically. I'm very grateful to be able to see Michael in person weekly.

This is not a criticism, it's just funny:
I've started this video on 1.5 speed, because I left it since the last video I watched. I didn't notice until I heard the artifacting in the music of the intro.

I have recently realized how tight and constrained i have been due to not being able to sit with difficult emotions. This had led to alot of anxiety. Now i have a great tool. Saving this to my playlist. ❤ thank you for your work.

This softened up the tightness in my chest. I found comfort in my left hip..lol. it really helped. It was a challenge in shifting, but I stuck with it and let it just unfold. I was gentle with myself, and my breath became less restricted ❤

I don't understand why you don't send people to Peter Levine's youtube channel & website. He also does great talks on other platforms.

Thanks for your comment. Good advice. Actually, if you look in the video description you will find a link to Peter’s site and a link to the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute which was founded by Peter. Thanks again.

I experience sorrow daily, how much more do i need to experience it to get past it?

    • @ruudschulten

Sorrow is a very painful and consistent feeling dear Brother. There will be a good reason for being there. Don't try to get rid of it. Try to learn to radical accept it, by acknowledging your sorrow and Talk with it it may be there. That's bot a Moments work nur a hard Job to do mentally, so you habe to learn perhaps weeks or even months to esse your mind and creatieve accepting thoughts about your sorrow and the reasons. Perhaps it desires thougts of forgiveness also. Did you manage that then try the pendulation. You can try to do it at the same time but as long your head das or whispers I want to get rid of it the Method will fail. Alas the common 'head' rule we 'westerners' learned from our childhood is:resistance . And Freud learned and the eastern psychology learns: resistance will double your pain.

Chronic sadness can be challenging. Certainly one needs acceptance and patients. But sometimes it's important to have a compassionate witness to give support. Sadness can be tricky because sadness can manifest in different ways. When sadness seems to be chronic it may actually be overwhelm. Overwhelm is like an anxious sadness that arises when we don't have the capacity to be with difficult experiences or feelings. It can be a kind of disconnection from life and feelings. If we experience sadness all the time we may want to look at what might be under sadness, like true grief or anger. It may also be helpful to be curious about the sadness and whats under it. What's it want? What's it conveying? What's it's intention? You are listening to the feelings, not asking these questions in an intellectual way. Most of all be kind and gentle and hold your feelings with compassion. Hope this is helpful.

@@naturalbodhiwellness8960 well said, it should be no intellectual selftalk . What I See as a problem is that most patients with disorders experience a lack of self-loving thoughts.. they live mainly 'intellectual' meaning: they want it to go away,
