I'm 70. Just spent the length of your video deep squatting. I spent a number of years in India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Keep Calm And Squat On.
I was 50 years old when I started the passive full squat… now I’m 53 years young and getting younger!
I am 75 with a right hip replaced and bad right knee. I learned how to squat safely at the gym. While I can’t squat deeply, I do four sets of 25 squats on Mondays, spread throughout the day. Three days at the gym.
That's a lot That's great
Fervent deep squatter here. I do them in most breaks at work. I find it handy to adopt various arm positions with each one.
I used to sit in what you’re calling a deep squat while I was on the beach and reading and it was very comfortable
Great for your back also.
Squat is a great useful exercise to the whole body
I think this exercise works wonderfully, because in the video there are no elderly people doing this exercise.👍
ha ha ha
I AM 68 …STARTED DOING SQUATS 2 YEARS AGO….WHAT A DIFFERENCE IT HAS MADE…MOST PEOPLE MY AGE CANNOT/WILL NOT DO THIS….BETTER LATE THAN NEVER….TOOK ME 3-4 WEEKS BEFORE I COULD STRETCH OUT TO THE BOTTOM AND TOP.DR.BRYANT LANE.
Same here.😂@@bryantlane8646
I have decided to give it a try and already I feel much younger 😉
I used to have some hip pain once in a while but after starting to squat, the pain started going away little by little and now it’s gone
If I don't squat for a time, my left knee begins to feel unstable. A couple of days of deep squatting has it back in shape again.
My wife was a PE major back in the '70s. She thinks the squat was invented by Satan. 🙂
@@olwill1 um by Satan ? lol squatting is the human natural resting position, baby kids do it naturally without being taught
If you look at the squat in the lead in photo, it is not the same. It is an internal martial art squat. The knees are horizontal and the heels are off the ground. It is nothing even remotely close to the deep squats in your video. Whenever the buttocks go below the knees you can damage the knees when you go back up. This can be avoided by pushing the knees down to the horizontal before going up. I think that practicing Seiza is a far better position although I do practice both, one for martial arts and the other for meditation.
Love this🙌🏾
Every morning 🙌🏾
I had a practice of deep squatting when i cleaned the cat litter out, and when i fed the cats... but i stopped at some point 🤷♀️ i don't know why.
This video was a good reminder to start that practice again and stick with it. Thank you ❤
I have squatters in my rental place!😂😂😂
Excellent video, very informative, thank you for sharing
glad you love it
I did deep squats all the time as a communication worker. I’d work in a deep squat, I’d rest in a deep squat. I went to the gym and gently exercised my knees and back along with lots of stretching. Now at 63 I’m getting ready for my second knee replacement. It did no miracles for me. Osteoarthritis came along and destroyed me.
Yes indeed!
Good one!
That lady @ 2:00 is practicing her delivery position. I read about one lady who had a very difficult delivery laying on her back, which is usual. With her second baby, she said the midwife had her assume a squatting position and the baby slid right out.
Do Not do deep squats as a repetitive exercise. If you do them at all. Almost no one maintains the right speed and form in this exercise. This exercise will blow up your knees if you don't go slow and maintain good form. Better to only go down as far as your thigh parallel to the ground and no more particularly if you add weight (barbell). Important to go slow both up AND down. Do them like 10 sets of 1.
I was doing malasana daily in the morning 3 months before when I got my knee pain and stiffness and now not allowed to do deep squats anymore.
Super merci
Le psoas
Why is this good for psoas?
There is no best exercise for anti-aging. It requires many ingredients to make a good meal. Same for exercise.
I have drop foot, so I can’t deep squat and keep flat feet. But I can deep squat with raised heels, sit for a minute or 2, then stand with ease
In India most of people sit like this but they are not young
Diet rest stress is also have effect dear
They should do some productive stuff instead of just sitting!😊

So, after a TEP (artificial knee surgery) I shouldn't try to squad, right? Also, mit einem kuenstlichen Knie Gelenk soll man die "tiefe Hocke" besser weglassen, stimmt das?
Join a gym, a personal trainer will show you how to squat safely. You squat as far down as you can, no need to go down too much. It will still benefit.
See my message above.
@@DVB1848 thank you for your answer
I’m in my 60’s, but afraid if try, then I won’t be able to get back up 😂 I’ll see what happens
Did you make it back up ??
@@jeffbridwell2277 did better than I thought
@@jeffbridwell2277 😂
😂
Bad knees. Can’t do them
Next video you should show us how to prepare for the deep squat otherwise we will feel its beyond our capability
Wow! Who knew ? Thank you.
I can't seem to do this squat with my feet flat on the floor. I end up on my toes. Does anyone know how I can work my way to the flat foot position?
Practice.
Great video 🙏
Thank you 🙌
Every morning
Thanks for the update. I've never heard of this exercise before. Who knows - maybe after seeing this video people will take it further and start to put some weight on their backs and squat. Crazy "unveiling" types of stuff.
BTW - is the overused AI voice ubiquitous all over UA-cam vids somehow dubbed from vintage Knight Rider 2000 episodes from the 1980's?
Hello Kitt is that you? This is Michael Knight...please tell me about squats and how it's the secret sauce of centenarians.
Deep Squat Position - это по-пацански! Толково придумано 🤘🤘🚶😬😎
Love it ❤❤😂
Only one thing can not make young, so many things are there.
Sitting in the squat is good but doing squat full motion will hurt the joints. Better to do half rep squats to protect the joints.

What was fundamental way of life in India is coming back as healthy life style; squating, sitting on floor, removing shoes outside house, vegetarianism, use of Ghee , the list goes on.
I used to do 400lbs on the hack squat machine for 8. But what do you do once you have bone on bone in one of your knees. These videos really don't help me.
Perhaps get a knee replacement? Then switch to kettlebells. Learn what real movement feels like.
Yeah, I will be careful if you got any knee issues cause you should never go that deep with knee issues
Do you know about Ala Turca toilets?
👏👏👏❤️
Walking helps to .
Hum to bachpan se ye excercise kar rhe hain 😂

We are villagers …. We are very poor…. We squat every day while washing clothes, pooping and eating. In case you are wondering of things not jelling here . …. Yes our command of the English language is simply awesome and why shouldn’t it be….. ? We were after all colonised for almost 200 years……😅..😅😅
The thumbnail looks weird.steroids?
Ok, ok but... squat its a tradicional position to rest in many old, tradiotional and or primitive cultures, may them can live to much, but not so good life.
I guess that squat can be one of the many reasons to live well, but not only.
Decades ago scientists claimibg that the eskimo diet or Jesus diet its the best, they just ignoring that both of them can walk kilometers per day, live in a non polution place, with pure air etc.
My knee won't bend all the way, feels like it's locked or stuck.. smh
Most knee issues starts from your hip. Hips usually start getting tight in your 30s.
Ask any gopnik wearing an Addidas track suit smoking a cigarette in Russia…
I’m 95 an I deep squat for 40 hours
Ted mosby
I only take tips and advices from people that are 100 and over...
Indian do this at morning 😅😅
That's how we poop 💩
Common sense

Despise that overused AI voice in this video.
it's inhuman.
