  • In Kenya, corruption is a significant and pervasive issue impacting various sectors. Legally, corruption is addressed through several laws and institutions. The Constitution of Kenya (2010) includes anti-corruption provisions and establishes the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) to investigate and prosecute corruption-related offenses. Key legislation includes the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Act (2003) and the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act (2009). Despite these measures, corruption remains a challenge due to weaknesses in enforcement, political interference, and a lack of resources. Efforts to combat corruption are ongoing, involving both national and international stakeholders.
