thanks Andrew! 2000 Echo with 335k, my Overdrive bulb died and your vid was the best first step in solving that issue! I replaced the alternator last night and It looked very easy till I tried to remove the bottom bolt.. It was blocked by the airbag sensor/body so I jacked up the motor at the oil pan [with a small piece of plywood to distribute the load] using just enough pressure to clear the obstacle and shes good to go! turns out I also had a dead cell in the battery.. I feel confident this motor will last to 500k :D
Very well explained and done. But there are all kinds of skeptics out there. Never forget the fast forward of showing a working finished product to quell the claim of buying it brand new and just the overall anxiety of skeptics. Another good video would be taking out the back tail light assembly. Not many out there that cover exactly that topic on Echos, they’re more for bulb replacements, and the Yaris may be similar, but it would help those a little more visually learning challenged to know exactly what to take off for the specific model. Was thinking of making one myself for a 2002 once my order is delivered.

Most likely
Please what is the size of the 2004 Eco bulb
Sorry don't know, maybe it's the same
looks like you were missing 3 other bulbs in that cluster…
🤣 it's a good possibility, 😜 I bought the car 🚗 for $300 💵 with like 350,000 miles, just as a beater car, that was good on gas ⛽.
Do you know the bulb code in case you want to replace with an led?
Sorry, I don't
Ty
You are welcome.
I replaced mine but still doesn't work
I think the contact part on the circuit board is the problem
It probably is, if you clean the contact points & maybe bend them a little so they would have better contact, that might work
