Omg Trav. Wouldn’t have been easier to just get a truck with those options? Also hope you do the heater core since it’s all apart regardless if it’s bad or not. Thx for another great vid
Hey Travis you can program your key to work with the bcm out of the parts truck if you swap you steering column , there’s videos out there on how to do it.
Do you need to replace the harness that’s under the dash that goes from driver to passenger to do this? Looking to do this to my crew cab and it seems like all of the wires are there, just need the plugs?
I recently recently did this on my 2001 Silverado did exactly as you did only thing is I did not have the steering wheel or whole steering column for that dash so I aput my original one in place of it and all it does it turn over but will not start any suggestions?
I pulled a dash and did this plugged everything in and no power locks worked and the only working window was the driver side. Any suggestions bad dash harness?
Great videos, on the green truck ,just wondering if you can help in anyway, purchased my dad's 05 sierra WT. NO Cruise control. Hate not having it. With the body control module. I seen that you bought the GM cruise control with the harness would that be a plug and play install on my 05, get me CC. I had mine apart and the female plug for the cruise is not installed. Any advice would be helpful. 10 out of 10 on the frustration factor. Nobody at GM service Canada can answer this question
@@TWAMotorsports Hi Travis, just wondering where in the USA, you got the harness for the cruise control. I've been to a few junkyards to no avail . I'm thinking a new one is going to be the best path to go on the 05 Sierra, Thank you for your time. EH
Hey Travis, in the process of swapping a 03 silverado bcm and full harness into 01 silverado. I got a question you might already know, I’m going from the basic a/c cluster to a dual climate slider. And I’m stuck on if i need to swap the whole hvac box vents. For the dual climate? There are 2 door actuators on the old. And 3 of them on the new. Would I also need to swap that as-well as a whole?
I got my interior harness out of a 02 Tahoe and swapped it into my 2000 single cab and both door locks work just passenger side doesn’t roll up or down do you know what it could possibly be?
Michael here not Julie. But everyone calls me Boone. Just subscribed to your channel. I'm an old school guy on trucks but since I got my 2001 Silverado I'm starting to really love the newer stuff. My truck is a single cab two wheel drive with the 4.3 vortec. Would love to ls swap it but want to keep everything working like heat and air. Definitely going to do some upgrades on it. I want to lower it but I'm up in the air on how low. Going to be a 2/4 or 4/6. It will be my daily driver. Any advice you can give me on it would be greatly appreciated. Your taste in vehicles is almost identical to mine. Keep the videos coming.
Thank you for subscribing Boone. It's a pretty easy swap for the ls engine. Finding a harness for a 2001 to 2002 is the best and easiest option. A donor truck that may be wrecked to the best situation.
I'm just getting home and settled in from work and just tuning in...
Thank you Keith
@@TWAMotorsports nice job she's coming back together and power locks and windows are working.. awesome... take your time still more to go... 👍
Thank you Keith. Quite a bit more to do
You sounded as Happy as a kid getting the one toy he was wishing for Christmas.. I was having anxiety just watching and hoping it all worked 😰!!! ✌🏻
Lol. I was pretty excited
Badass work Travis, not that hard once you take one out, best way to enjoy the oem feel.
Thank you. I am so excited
I was dreading on doing it to my stepside but now that these videos are up, i cant find a good parts truck to pull the whole dash from
It's not bad just time consuming

Not at this point. Paint, motor, interior so might as well. I thought about the heater core but didn't
Another awesome video. Travis
Thank you

This Saturday I’m going to a yunk yard, getting the whole dashboard from a 2002 silverado ext cab should be a plug and play or ??
Should be
@@TWAMotorsports did the door lights work for u?
Yes
Nice!
Thank you
man when are you going to get back to the Red TA???
When I have parts and time
Are those street scene mirrors on the lowered truck?
Yep.
Is it plug and play the new dashboard? Or you have to reprogram the new dashboard?
Plug and play
I pulled a dash and did this plugged everything in and no power locks worked and the only working window was the driver side. Any suggestions bad dash harness?
Muat have missed a plug is the only thing. Or switches are bad

If it has the plug on the firewall it is plug and play. If not no and would require the entire harness
@@TWAMotorsports Thank you for your time, I'll take her apart soon. I'll let you know how it turned out, EH .
Awesome. Definitely do

@@TWAMotorsports Thanks for the info. What about lowering it? 2/4 or 4/6 and what brand is the best for a limited budget?
I don't do budget drops because you won't be happy
@@TWAMotorsports Get what you pay for. With that being said what brands would you recommend for me? Thanks for the help sir.
Mcgaughys and them only
Could just change the inviting
Switch?
Not sure what you mean
I was saying you should just be able to remove the ignition switch.
I did
Those wheels are looking dated need to upgrade to newer wheels.
I may eventually
