I feel a difference in street driving when in track mode AND gear shift in Sport position. Even in drive with out using paddles, it shifts later and downshifts sooner this makes for a fun cruise through traffic and it is always in the higher part of the torque curve. Lots of fun.
Justin Walker and ... I have not heard 1 automotive journalist say anything about 4 modes.... everyone says your. Sport Performance... never heard TRACK mode being discussed
In Australia the ssv has four modes from factory just turn the dial 4 times no need for holding buttons. But we gave you a car with less features it looks like. Just like the mustangs here don't have line lock mode n shit
Nice. I drove in TRACK mode briefly on a road course over the summer, but the surface was still wet from the earlier thunderstorm. I put it back in Performance Mode to help traction and had a blast. Good times!
Whats really gonna bake your noodle is, if you're fast enough, you can get track mode settings in tour mode. that shit is so much fun. (it stays quiet too)
What kind of secret is that. When the traction control is on it pulls timing when wheels lose traction that's how traction control works no secret there. So when traction control is off its go have fun time
Basically its for all the Auto;'s out there, it shifts better and the power comes on quicker thats it,but be very careful because if the roads are just a little wet the rear end will skip out on you no matter what rear tyres you have especially if the road surface is crap ?
Holden tune these to run on shit fuel. With a cold air induction and a good exhaust, high flow cats etc,a dyno tune will make HEAPS more power. You’ll be giggling. Give it a go and post another vid.
can you lay out any negatives (besides cost) to first, the cold air induction and second, the tune. I heard that the cold air by itself provides minimum improvement but noticeable. I had a GM guy at a dealer shrug his shoulders and tell me that the air induct is fine but can do something to the timing of something. I'm not Mr. Auto, so I kind of missed what he said might happen with new filter. I know nothing about tune except to hear that it ends the warranty. Just trying to get some thoughts on doing these mods to my '17 SS. Thx.
teller12 The cold air intake adds about 12-15 hp. With a less conservative tune up (leaner and a few more degrees of timing) you could see up to 30 hp gain. Add Kooks or ARH headers/x-pipe/cat delete I have heard up to 60 hp from stock inclding the intake, tune & the aforementioned mods.
This is true, but , if you also hold it down for five seconds after you press the button twice it completely disables everything , Burn out mode
Yes sir.. i totally did not know that when posting.. but i drift this thing every Chance I Get
I have a 2017 Chevy SS, 6MT and have tried both performance and track modes.
I find better throttle response in performance mode.
I'm just admiring the fact that you got a 6MT 🤤🤤💯💯😎😎👍🏽💪🏽🔥🔥

Not much of a secret when it's in the owners manual.
Justin Walker lol.....

Who the fuck reads the owners manual?
Most people never even open it 🙄

it doesn't give you more power, it just shuts off the traction and stability control while tightening up the suspension a bit.
leloodallasmultipass thought it changes fuel mapping as well.
It does give you more power...once you shut off the traction and Stabilitrak, it unrestricts the motor.
The throttle actually becomes less sensitive/responsive in this mode
Leave it press for 15 seconds it will completly shut off the traction

Track mode turns on torque vectoring
If you hold that traction control button in for 5 sec it is real fun then!!!
same way i shred. sport with both completely off, 1st and shred donuts and drift. throttle control and counter steering ftw.
So I was Wrong and Your Daddy was Correct!.. Five Seconds does The Wonderful
Mr AftermathmotoFZ I live in Ohio so mine is in the garage for a while ☹️
Only way to go
Only on the redline?
I have the ssv 2016 mod
Is this a manual
I got a ticket
Instead of pressing it twice just hold it for ten 6 sec it will go straight to burn out mode lol
What year?, even though Im sure it doesn't matter

I have a 14 Chevy SS, I’m pretty sure all it does is turn off TSC. Doesn’t really give you “more” power.
Whats hidden about it
My caddy has this if you hold the button it shuts her down completely
ok, so what does this do?
You can do launch control, you hold the brake and stomp on the throttle and then drop the clutch when your car holds 3.5k revs
Basically its for all the Auto;'s out there, it shifts better and the power comes on quicker thats it,but be very careful because if the roads are just a little wet the rear end will skip out on you no matter what rear tyres you have especially if the road surface is crap ?
Huh, I didn’t know they had the same gauge cluster as a 13-15 Malibu.
Yeap,
It’s an Australian built Holden Commodore.
With a American engine
Chevy made that body
@@comedine4759 It's fully Aussie built and designed, same with the G8.
@@comedine4759 Chevy did not make the body lol
@@comedine4759 😂😂
I have a 2014 and I don’t have performance mode 😭
2014 doesn’t come with the different driving modes right ?
Certain model does
@@ogeecapncrunch2780 correct. It has a sport mode which allows you to shift manually. I’m not aware of it doing anything else though.
