  • Today's subject is something that I kindof came across on accident after losing an eBay auction. It's a Broadway Limited Alco PA in MKT colors. This unit has DCC and Sound and I picked it up from Trainz for under $100 before taxes and shipping. Let's see if it runs. Also it is probably worthwhile to watch till the end. Just sayin.

@Trains-With-Shane I have an n scale set and my son and I have ho scale set. We don't model anything specific except I grew up on a farm and would like to model grain elevators and purchased some athearn covered hopper for the HO stuff

Hey Shane, been into trains since the early 70’s when I got a ho Santa Fe set for Christmas and have been collecting on and off since just about a year ago I got heavy into N scale and that’s when I discovered your channel and have been watching ever since. I’m currently modeling NS and CSX at my Model RR club while building my home layout…kids are grown now so I finally have the room lol. Keep up the interesting and inspiring work.

Love your will it run videos. Very interesting. My favorite scale is n. My favorite short line is Central California Traction company. Hard to find locos and cars in this road name as its a limited milage road. Stockton California to Sacramento California. The road is over 100 years old and now still operates between Stockton and Lodi California. Sorry about your break-up. It will get better in time and may even be a blessing. Keep your videos coming they are informative and your style is relaxing.

Im in my mid 40’s, had a Ho tyco and n scale atlas sets growing up. I have 2 boys. The youngest has high functioning autism. He has been all about trains for about 2 years(thanks to the polar express and Thomas) He has a dcc Bachman Ho set his grandma got him for Christmas. Because of him I’m getting back into trains. I’m a fan of Chessie System colors. And the F7 locomotives. He is all about steam.
We are going to the day out with Thomas in Grapevine TX the weekend of October 13th. It’s something like a 6 hour drive from NW AR.
Congratulations on the channel growth. Yours if the first channel I’ve stumbled across that is n scale. I follow some that do Ho and O then some that cover HO and a few n.

Is that the event they have in Grapevine Tx every year? I used to work over in that area back around ~2006. I've not been to the Thomas event by one of my coworkers has taken his kids a few times.

I have a small town circle n scale layout at foot of my bed… I live in a small apartment… The railroad that I model is the Chesapeake and Ohio and it is my favorite… Most of my locomotives are mostly C&O/Chessie System and C&O blue units..I do own a few locomotives from other railroads.. I do also own a few CSX locomotives…. I do own one Norfolk Southern F-7 from Bachmann..I also run Amtrak on my layout..I do enjoy watching your videos Shane… It is neat when you show us your latest locomotives in your collection… I still running DC on my layout and I have not converted to DDC yet… Thank You showing your latest MKT PA-1 locomotive… I love the red paint..
Keep up with Videos….I love watching them…
Oh… don’t hurry love and take your time getting into another relationship with another lady… Always start out being friends first… Sometimes…Let the girl choose you…

@@Trains-With-Shane … I saw that video on that GP-38…. I enjoy that video also.. The only GP-38 on my layout is a Life Like CSX #6638… I couple with my old 1974 Chessie GP-30 #3042… It is about the design of your Santa Fe GP-9…The two locomotives work well together and they can pull a good size train…

Hi Shane, really enjoy your videos very much. I myself have just started a new N scale layout, just in the planning stage as far as track goes. Will most probably be a urban style layout in the late 80s early 90s era on a 3 ft x 6 ft base and be running on DCC. I do live in Mexico but I do have a shared postbox in the USA if I was to be lucky. Keep up the good work and thanks

I enjoy modeling the Union Pacific and Southern Pacific (which now get a UP markings paint over). I have a number of N scale diesel locomotives that are dcc but also dc equipment which I would like to convert to dcc. Any tips on how to decide if a older locomotive that is not dcc ready is worth converting? Some of the engines have the old open frame motors.
