What a mess, even digital foundry ditched Intel and went AMD
Except this isn't the fix. Most bios manufacturers already disable tvb by default.
"Look what they have to do to get a FRACTION of our power!" 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you
I7 14700kf I have one and it seems to have the same issues
Are you able todo this tutorial on the asus z690/790 boards on what settings to set on thanks 🙏🏻
The same settings as every other motherboard
How would you compare the frozen notte to the DeepCool lt720? Is it better?
About the same
I use llc 7 on my apex encore with a -0.500, never goes above 1.32 volts all core @ 5.9 14900k
Thats a good bin cpu, mine needs 1.4 for the same on a z790i Edge. Your mb have better voltage regulation so that might be some of the reason.
Could the 14700k on avg do 8000mhz on a mobo like z790i lightning?
With 2x24 you could probably hit similar oc to mine
I have 13900k and msi z790 edge i put on intel mode 253pl1 and pl2 253 it said edp throthling.
Vcore offset -0.060
Llc mode 4
Gaming temps max 72 degrees bud dont now if this good setup in the motherboard
Because throthling
EDC throttlimg is because of power
Okej thnx for your Answer what do i need to fix this i have good cooler whit backplate and 1300w msi meg
I am newbie sorry
@leonsmalbil7397 remove the power limiy
Put on default setting the pl1 and pl2 to 4096 wattage ? I guess
@@leonsmalbil7397 NOOOO. Thats when it will crash if you start a heavy workload. Set it to 240w-300w, something reasonable. You need to test and see what your cooling solution can handle. If you have a bad heat connection to your cooler, I run graphite pad(just below liquid metal) and that avoids temp overshoots. Temp overshoots is what crashes your cpu usally. The cpu temps rises so fast that the safety mechanisms dont have time to catch it and reduce power and voltage in time. Ppl that run 4096 never run Prime95 or something brutally heavy. And they usally use an fps lock in games so you never see power usage like 4000watts in practice. I ran Prime95 on 4096w without really knowing what kind of program it was and my pc bluescreened instantly. Luckily I had CEP and other safety mechanisms enabled saving the cpu. It could have been a very expensive 700Usd learning experience. I have done a lot of bios testing and I found no improvements going above sensible power settings. I found ocing cache and ring to 4.9-5Ghz and slight underclock and undervolting p cores at that lower speed to reduce stuttering. It also gives a more consistant gamefeel. Also get an program that turns off core parking.
Hope intel fixes their stuff for 15th gen...
But....
intel bad
