Lol in a throwback scene in Frasier when he just arrived in Seattle and meet up with Niles Frasier thought Niles was a snob Frasier change after a time in Seattle.
In cheers he started off snobby as well but became more down to earth as the show progressed, that’s why he’s more tolerant than niles. The idea of niles is actually a representation of what frasier would have been if he never went to cheers
Exactly! If I see one more girl in a yoga pose holding her bare stomach I’m gonna lose it. Some of them would have their foot touching the back of their head if they could.
This clip was cut a little too short. I think right after Norm and Cliff watch what’s happening and go: “He’s a dead man.” “Yeah put the tag on the toe, close the drawer.”
It's so funny looking back on Frasier in Cheers now that I'm on the 10th season of Frasier. One standout difference between the two shows for me is that I feel like Cheers is a feel good show while Frasier possesses more depth. The theme song to Cheers really captured the essence of the show well about it being a place of recognition, warmth, and joy. When I watch Cheers I get a kick out of the goofiness and light exchanges between the bar patrons while with Frasier I really like the wit and sophistication of Frasier and Niles.
I think it was because Frasier truly was about him and his family thus allowing for real character development and growth. Cheers had that at the beginning but once Diane left, it became more of an ensemble show led by the story-jokes-concept than by driving the characters to develop and evolve in a serialized manner.
as an autistic person who frequently gets thought of as robotic, like many autistic people do when they're just expressing themselves... thank you. Never understood what the other characters in the scene found so offputting
My ex-wife was a hippy, and she acted this way when she was pregnant, (although she didn't act like a robot). She insisted on wearing a ridiculous flower wreath everyday, and it about drove me nuts.
If I was Ted Danson from 0:13-0:23, I would have wasted take after take trying not to break after what Bebe says. I wish there was some blooper footage of this scene.
"Touch my breasts, friend, I am lactating." This is one of the best lines of the whole show, in large part because she delivers it so monotone and robotic.
We have only one question: How many takes? Keeping a straight face through this monologue is not for the weak-hearted :)! If anyone has the bloopers, PLEASE post...
Oh great, now I want to watch this show. At the time I wasn't that into Cheers but now I want to see Frasier and Lilith's relationship. (I have seen every episode of Frasier, although some seasons it was through reruns.)
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times…..they should’ve never divorced Frasier and Lilith. I understand why it was done and Frasier the spin-off explored different character territory without her. But I’ll be damned how funny would it have been to seen them together in Seattle with Niles, Ron, Daphne, Marty, & Eddie.
She's great! The Celestial Woman...all she says about her condition is wonderful. As it is with all women who , by choice, reach that point in life. Why would he have her committed? Why does the background stir with laughter when such a wondrous event is derided???
I suspect than many (most?) women have these kinds of thoughts/emotions. And not just poetic expression, but the no physical-ness of having a person inside you.
Despite that she links procreation to evolution, though. I'm amazed people can experience "the miracle of life" and still think we all come from "primordial ooze".
Lilith only knows one song, and her continuous singing of it drives Frasier nuts! Lol. (This is one of my favorite episodes from the seventh season, which might just be one of the best, most perfect, most memorable, greatest seasons of all.)
@thisbandreallystix and of all songs...it has to be My Funny Valentine. Real fans won't have forgotten though her and Fraiser sang Out House in Dinner At Eightish when they had Sam and Diane over after first moving in together....Lilith then finds out the extent of Fraiser and Diane's relationship and all hell breaks loose.
A even better scene is later on when Lilith gets a stethoscope and lets Frasier listen to the baby's heartbeat and then he starts acting the same as her. You would think two doctor's would have actually have that that before...
Yeah,my wife went through this stage when we found out we were having twins . She insisted we eat only organic groceries . Çhilli cost us a fortune . It ended only when her water broke.
Lilith may have been acting strange and all, but this is one of the reasons that I always thought Fraiser was an ass to her. : / Dude, she's excited, leave off.
Never thought of Lilith as poetic and emotional. Why would you describe the birth of a child like that. It’s not like that all. Come on don’t encourage them
I know that pregnancy makes changes, but thank God this is a great exaggeration! It's almost hard to believe that Sam resisted touching Lilith's bosom when asked..... at least he was a gentleman out of respect for Frasier and passed on the somewhat tempting offer.
She definitely takes her namesake Very,Very,Very Literally and Seriously Figurative!!!!!!! It awesome to see a woman whose faith is strongly put into a quirky role that shows strong beliefs in a Personage that really is cool with her Condition and her love interest and does it in a comedic and strongly partially Outlandish way!!!!!!! Maybe Lilith isn't the evil we see her as in text and scripture!
I know... I remember when Madonna had her daughter, and they all gave her a standing ovation on some awards show. I told my husband, *"Geez, all she did was have a baby"* ... *"Millions of women do this every day, and no one claps for us"* ... He said *"But It's Madonna"* I said, *"So what, who cares"* ...😒🤨
I had a boss that acted like this. When she came into work she expected everyone to come over to her, rub her belly, bend over and say hello to the baby. I used to hide when she came in.
There's pregnancy and then there's Lilith's pregnancy
I'm so going to do this lmao.
🤣🤣🤣 my mother plans to disown me if I start speaking like this during pregnancy
It's great how, even when she's in earth-mother flower-child mode, Lilith still acts like an inhuman android.
She reminds me of Data from Star trek
She sounds like Primatt Conehead.
That is why she ended up with that guy from star trek ..xd
@@helmsly2010 she ended up with him..xd

The writing here for Lillith is absolute tops !
The writers' room for this episode must have been uproarious.
"I'm a slender stem reaching back toward the primordial ooze." 🌱😂
The dialogue on this show was second to none.
For those who remember, Taxi had some great moments too.
It was second to Frasier lol.
@@aryastark575 Exactly. The way the writers masterfully weave double meanings with wit throughout the scenes is a joy for the brain to comprehend.
After only seeing Frasier for the first time and never watching Cheers, it seems like blasphemy seeing Frasier drink beer out of a mug.
DREVM grow up with both. They don’t make them like this anymore
i know right

He did it for 8 years.

Lilith is every 2019 Facebook/Instagram/UA-cam mom blogger alive.
The mother of every Facebook/Instagram/UA-cam mom blogger out there right now!!
Exactly! If I see one more girl in a yoga pose holding her bare stomach I’m gonna lose it. Some of them would have their foot touching the back of their head if they could.
As an older man, these women seem casually, yet shortly entertaining.
She had hands down the best lines on a show that was full of great lines. Lol!
Lilith had her moments when she just stole the show...
Colonel Flag had the same impact on MASH....
She is just so talented. She's quite the singer and dancer too.
This clip was cut a little too short. I think right after Norm and Cliff watch what’s happening and go:

Lots more depth in Cheers than Frasier.
I love how the extras at the table crack up between 1.16 and 1.24 at the lines Lilith is saying ;)
I hadn't noticed that. Great catch.
Probably not that different then a couple laughing at someone in real life if they were spouting out a bunch of jibberish like that.
If you use a semicolon, the times become links. 1:16
She is a wonderful actress 👏👍!
"Lay your hands upon me..." Don't have to tell me twice! Bebe was gorgeous!

You gotta love the extras sitting at their tables, watching the scene unfold and grinning or laughing. :)

what we consider to be robotic is actually quite human. graceful and precise . honest expression.

"People who would like to be my peers" 😂
I know! Loved that.
And they say Cheers lacked subtlety.
I share that sentiment with humanity in general. And I am humble.
How many times did Bebe Neuwirth flub the scene by bursting out laughing? Frazier and Lilith were my favorite characters on that show!
More to the point: How long did it take her to learn the lines? Yikes.
And you could always tell because her voice would get so high pitched. 😂😂😂😂😂
This scene is so far removed from her in Frasier I realised there WAS a change in her..Unlike frasier
Intelligent humor. Radical!
Some of the background actors are cracking up 😆
'A fly is a mother a 1000 times and you don't see her making an ass out of herself in front of her husband's friends!!' Genius 😂😂
