- Lilith is in mourning as her favorite lab rat, Whitey, has died. Frasier offers sympathy, that is until he finds out that she is carrying the dead rat in her purse. Frasier throws Whitey in the garbage, and when Lilith finds out, she does the same to Frasier - throw him in the garbage, that is. Lilith has banished Frasier from the house, and thus he's forced to sleep on the bar's couch in his suit. Unfortunately, this tiff coincides with an important meeting they have to get Frederick into an exclusive preschool. They need to hold off their anger toward each other long enough to make it through the interview, but some item association at the interview makes them come to an important realization.

The two best characters to come out of Cheers!
This scene becomes quite ironic once you learn Fraiser was named after one of his mother's lab rats (who passed away just before his birth).
Both Fraiser and Niles were named after rats, lol
He should have had Lilith read the mother's journal and apologized for judging her for getting so attached.
Love that episode, (MY REASONING...MY REASONING WAS BASED ON MY MOTHER'S OBSESSION WITH VERMIN)
Frasier and Lilith's hysterically funny fights make Sam and Diane's emotionally hysterical fights seem more like amateur hour! #LOL
I love Lilith's sense of style and personality

This scene and the scene where she finds out Fraiser threw Whitey out had to have been in Bebe's Emmy winning submission reel. She was SO good in this episode!!
I was thinking that, myself. This episode aired April 1991, and theEmmys were likely the following September.

If you think of them being on TV for 15 plus years they really are one of TV's great couples. They are a yuppie power trip.

The whole “Nanny G” episode was great too, where Lilith finds out Frasier was briefly married before to a children’s singer

Marge actually was her name- and still not even the correct Boveiar sister. It was either Patty or Selma.

is it worth to watch cheers just for frasier? i love frasier but didnt see cheers. the clips seem kind of low-brow..
It's definitely lower-brow humor than Frasier, though it certainly had great moments.

I don't remember Frasier having a son on his own show. Did he throw him in the trash, too?
His son lived with Lillith, and Frasier had occasional long-distance visitations.
Fredrick was on Frasier so many times. There was the Thanksgiving episode where Fredrick got injured. There was the episode where Fredrick came to visit Frasier and he was bored. Then my favorite was when Fredrick became goth to impress a girl.

@@202makoto Frederick appeared himself in eight episodes of the show, but was referenced in conversation in countless more, even being the primary subject of some episodes he never appeared in, such as the first Christmas special and Lilith's second appearance. He does live with Lilith and she does control the majority of his life, but Frederick is certainly a big part of the Frasier show.
