I talk to myself and hum Enya. I am so happy I found you! I have learned that most of the things I am doing is not being done correctly, but I will start doing things the correct way now. I was wondering why my material was not laying straight and flat, but now I know it is because I have been ironing and not pressing. I love quilting and the entire process. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
My quilt is going to made of old sheets and will be mostly blue and green with purple flower accents. I am going to call it Guests Remembered. I figured out my color way and have blocks A and B done. Yay! Can't wait for the next step.
I see you are using Holly Taylor fabric. I love and have all of her collection. Sorry to hear she is done designing fabric. Going to miss her. I think I will be using Kansas trouble fabric. I also collect her line also.thank you for the tutorial.
I was hoping for a more introductory video starting with selecting colors. It looks to me like your pattern could be 11 colors. Are you actually using 11 colors? I am not using jelly rolls so I will need to buy 11 colors, so how much of each? It looks like you used your background color in the Block B but not in Block A. Is that correct? So your "white" background is the pale yellow/green color in the picture?
The only color I selected was the background fabric. It's a Moda grunge "off white". For the rest I'm using jelly rolls, a charm pack and mini charms. The pattern is meant to be "scrappy" so you can use however many fabrics you'd like. If you haven’t already, you can get the entire fabric requirements at the link in the description. I also did a little introduction video ua-cam.com/video/LFuDf3Qux90/v-deo.htmlsi=4UhnX9sO4uAE8hh0

I'm so glad you found me too!! I'm always on the hunt for new techniques and tricks to be a better quilter. I also love to share what I find! 😁

Not starting yet, but watching while sitting in hubby's hospital room. I'll save the instructions to start it later. (He's got pneumonia.)
Any time is a good time. I hope your hubby gets better soon!!

Her fabrics are so lovely! I had to buy everything the shop had left. :)
Thanks.
You're welcome!
I am a new quilter so right now I just focus on what I am doing to make sure that I don't screw up. But later it will be country music
One step at a time. You're doing great!
Where did you get the background fabric and the jelly roll? It’s beautiful
Thank you! The background is Moda Grunge and the jelly roll is the Wild Iris collection, also from Moda. 😀
@ thank you so much for your quick response. You did a beautiful job.
I got a brand new janome machine
Nice!
I listen to audio books
I like to listen to audio books when I'm on road trips. Love Patience Griffith's Scotland series! 😀
