Bravo Jeri!!! I am only 4.47 minutes in your video and need to shout an Amen to you explaining why you choose to build the greenhouse yourself. During this year I have been making more of an effort to learn how to do more for myself and buy specific tools so I can do things well. You're an outstanding example for women.
I totally agree things that my husband just didn't finish the details. I'm taking them on myself and I'm so happy. Baseboards painting, Plus I'm doing something I love by redoing a piece of go girls!
My husband and I have done lots of projects together, so I have learned a lot. I am so thankful for all the things he taught me, which is so important now, because he passed away unexpectedly June of this year. I 'm trying to carry on, but it's not easy. Your greenhouse is going to be to wonderful. Can't wait for part 2.
So Sorry about your husband, I know how difficult it would be for me to lose mine. It's a wonderful thing that you worked together on projects, that is also How I learned to use many different building methods and tools.
Dear Jeri, God has blessed you with many gifts. And we all thank you for sharing them with us. The time it takes to video all this plus explain your process and then doing much of it for the camera is amazing in itself! Your home and gardens are one of a kind due to your extraordinary talents. How I would love to see it all in person. You are a modern day pioneer for sure. Can't wait for part 2. LOVE and Blessings from Michigan
Thanks for the recognition of the time it takes to do video and editing. It actually helps me to record all these projects, and sometimes I have to go back to my own videos to retrieve a recipe or a building project I made in the past.
Jeri, wow, what can I say? You certainly have many talents and the ability to accomplish strenuous tasks (many might shy away from) in no time. 💪🏻 I’m in love with your greenhouse already. Can’t wait to see the conclusion.♥️👏🏻
Thank you Jeri for explaining why you've done this yourself. I've been alone for 15 years, so had to bring up my children alone, be Mum and Dad to them and learn how to do everything. Lots and lots of mistakes were made but we got through it and now I'm learning how to become self-sufficient with my youngest daughter, 19, run an animal rescue, started our Etsy store and really appreciate what we have achieved. You're such an inspiration and I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate you 😊 xx
Jeri, you have created a "make-do" greenhouse, just like our forefathers and pilgrims did. Love the plan. I think it is marvelous!! I think you did an excellent job! You have skills!!
Hello. I just finished watching this video. I must say I saved it on purpose to watch as my bedtime story. Your green house is dear. It will be darling when complete and located in the most perfect of places. I already see it filled with many clay pots and marvelous old sprinkling cans☺️. Looking forward to next week. Safe safe and enjoy the process ❣️
OMG you are doing a fantastic job! You are absolutely right about needing to learn how to use tools & have a little bit of carpentry skills. I am NOT good at any of those things + I'm technically dyslexic so measuring & things like that are somewhat hard for me, but listening & watching you, makes me feel like I need to look into taking classes or at least try to find videos on these things so I can learn them & not feel so helpless or afraid to use them. Thank you so much for your encouraging words. And BRAVO for taking this on yourself. P.s love the kitty "inspector" lol
Jeri, I am so impressed with all that you’ve accomplished so far! I’ve also always dreamed of having a greenhouse.☺️ I’m so happy you are getting yours!! For now, I have a little 10 x 15 hoop house with a heater for freezing nights. It’s helping to teach me how I will some day be able to manage a true greenhouse. I can’t wait to see your finished project. 🤗

First, I LOVE IT! Secondly, I totally understand the need/want to do it yourself. I'm now retired, and probably taking on more than i should but....I need to do it myself, the satisfaction is amazing. My husband is a retired builder, and it is frustrating for him, but he has shown me a lot of patience, count my blessings, and will come and see what I am doing, making sure I am ok, and ask if I need anything, usually say, no, I'm good...lol. But there are some things I need his help with, and I think he likes being asked, but I think he is also very proud of me tackling these things. Carry on, can't wait to see it finished.
My husband and I have taken on many building projects together, including the restoration of this olde house we live in; replacing floors, putting on roofs, etc, etc. He was totally onboard for me tackle this Greenhouse on my own. He agrees that a woman should know how to "do these things".... even if they don't turn out perfectly. But, "Perfectly Imperfect" is my motto!

Way to go, Jeri...I am thinking "what in the world can't that woman do?" I have had my greenhouse (8x10 kit) for two springs now & seed planting waist high is so much easier & enjoyable! I plant in rows in two large rubber containers istead of seed trays. What a delight to watch those babies grow. It is about 20 degrees warmer than the temp outside & in warm weather it is over 100 inside...think ventilation!!!! Looking forward to your advenures.💕 from another Gerri💕
How terrific that your greenhouse has been successful for you, I am looking forward to planting my seedlings in here. I have given a great deal of thought to ventilation and the fact that it's are connected to the house (with 2 nice size windows) is going to be very convenient for moving the air around.

Great job! Makes me appreciate my husband bc I don’t think I could do it
Way to go, Jeri...I am thinking "what in the world can't that woman do?" I have had my greenhouse (8x10 kit) for two springs now & seed planting waist high is so much easier & enjoyable!
Love your paper weight. Good for you -- I think it'll be darling.
HA! I grabbed the first thing I found.
Wow, great job. You inspire me to keeping going to accomplish my yard goals. Thank you.
You always inspire me. I just bought an old farmhouse and have inherited old wood and doors in a wood pile and will do this for my greenhouse. I’m excited to buy some tools and do it myself even though my husband is a carpenter. I have bunnies painted on my raised beds also and purchased a small sheet of copper to try to make small animal figures. Thank you
Working on your old farmhouse will give you loads of experience. Our house was a disaster when we moved in and I learned a lot restoring it.
I admire your strength and work ethic. I do wish I physically could do what you do as far as gardening etc. I’ve had to accept bring physicality handicapped but I do love to see your creations. I love your home and the beauty you have created there.
Bravo Jeri!!
Wow it looks amazing can’t wait for the next video 😍
Jeri!!!! I’m so excited about this video! I have a barn full of doors and windows and have always wanted to do this! I especially like the idea of you doing it all by yourself! I want to do that too! You are SUCH an inspiration to me! Thank you fir this video
You can do it!
this is so fun to watch, can't wait to see it finished
I love it!
Wow ! That is fantastic ! So proud of you !
Great video! Thanks for taking us along, love your greenhouse work in progress!
I just watched this on my smart big screen tv! I am so impressed and happy for you. I knew someone named Jeri Farmer who did this with a carpenter she knew. Her greenhouse is a writing and thinking room. I don't think she grows things in it. How pretty and useful your greenhouse will be. I hope you will have a desk and a chair. I look forward to what you will be growing, too!
💓💞🥰I love your garden👏👏👏
