After recently buying the Leica M10 for 2024 I was keen to see how it performed. If you enjoy Leica street photography in London you can see my warm up efforts before I move on to the main event. I had a lightbulb moment that street portraits don't need to be strangers. I blend my model photography experience with street photography compositions and available lighting to try to create some nice black and white Leica street portraits with the Leica M10. The Leica M10 battery is not ideal and I cover that too plus how I carry a Leica camera.

I just picked up an M10P. My first digital Leica after over a decade shooting with the MP and M6.
Matt, you have to put the bottom plate on the M10 for the camera to turn on!

Many thanks for this video and the photographs. I am convinced there are people that have the ability to touch, with their eyes: lines, curves, shapes, contours and silhouettes. I think glass transforms the images making them similar to how we have them stored in our brain. Happy New Year 2024 to you too!

The smiling photo's are wonderful , with overhead lighting.
It comes with the standard USB Cable A (male) at one end and Micro USB at the other . Just plug the nite core charging unit to a power bank with at least 20000 mah

Hi Matt. I usually bring 4 batteries for my M10. If I am going for a long day's shoot, I'll bring the Nitecore charger with a 20000mAH battery. I find the M240 batteries to last much longer than the M10 - insane. My discipline is always to stop once I reach 50% of the batteries' capacity and I switch to the next one. My rationale - trying to preserve the battery's shelf life as long as I can - hope I am right on that one. I do not use the Live View for street shooting. I use Live View for landscapes. I noticed that LV drains the battery rapidly.
Wonderfull Video.. first Video in 2024, so Happy New Year Matt🍀📷👏 Great Tips and very good shots, I Like it👍👍👍 so in the future the 2nd Battery is your must have. I have a 2nd for my M262 and never use it often, because the battery on the M262 holds really long.
I use live view a lot because I wear glasses, but I try to choose my shots carefully, so the battery will last a full day of shooting for me. As soon as I take a picture, I turn off live view and shut off the camera. But I do only do street photography anyway. Thanks for the many reviews and tips videos. I find them extremely useful.
Just came on to YT and caught this. All good as usual. Have a Guid Hogmanay
With the M10 the best way is not to use the LCD at all. I use it occasionally to check exposure. For you I would recommend 3 batteries. For me I use 2.
Strange about the battery. But you've reminded me I should get a second one for my M10.
