Do you agree with those reasons? I'm curious to know what are yours or what makes you consider this beatiful storytelling machine.
Yup I agreed that in leica m series right now, if you want to have leica M series, leica m10 or leica m10-p is the right choice to have especially now that leica m11 is so expensive 9000 USD for the body only and you nees extra battery, accessories, lens for that massive 61mp and also for the 40mp leica m10-R you need nice leica APO lenses or at least Summilux lenses for that so you can achieve that nice high resolution megapixels for your photos and flr the computer to process it the raw images. So many expenses to buy the leica high resolution camera that's why they will buy the leica Q2 or leica Q. But now that the some leica m10 or m10-p price gets lower it depends on the placs where you leave, leica m10 is best for the price and to get nice lens for it. 📸👍

I just bought a m10 chrome version few weeks ago, this is so pleasing to use. Although the battery life is a bit concern, the quality is still stunning. I came from apps and this is the first time I can finally utilise my lens in every inch!

I also have a Q2 and M10 (and an M5) and agree with everything you said. The M10 feels so much like a digital film camera. I love it. And yes to 🇺🇦 as well. ✌🏻

I think the M10 is a gem and I have the M11, but love my M10 so so so much more.
salut Fred, merci from Montreal... I am a Fuji guy but I have access to an M8 and summicron 35 + summilux 50 : very enjoyable with all the manual operations, make me think we are getting lazy with all those automatic modern features (btw I am 56 and remember my FM2 and my darkroom..). As for your M10, I agree it's the one to get right now (M11 does not excite me).I think the M10 is gonna be a classic one in the lineup although I have never tried it. bye!

I love my 10 year old Fujifilm XE1. To this day it's the closest I've come to analogue photographs when I print. Especially when I use vintage lenses on it and print black and white. I bought it used for 100usd. Prints great up to A1
I agree that the X-Trans 1 sensor had some magic. I shot the original X-100V for 3 years and sometimes I look at those files and I can see what you are talking about! Cheers!
Picked up an M10-P to compliment my Black Paint film MP. I can shoot my 28mm 2.8 Elmarit at night now. Great camera. I've owned the Q and Q2 with their 1.7 Lux lenses. Was surprised at the M10's high ISO lack of noise. But, I can also create pleasing grain when I want. Very happy. And the prices have come down since the release of the M11. Win-win.
That a beautiful setup! I agree on the M10 low light performance, it’s impressive especially given the age of the camera. Leica definitely has great and unique sensors in there! What made you sell the Q2?
@@FredRanger A friend went on a trip to Iceland and was looking for a Q2 to document the trip of a lifetime. Helped a buddy out.
M10 is the sweet spot in my opinion. I think in the future the 10 will be the definitive model amongst the digital Leica M series as well as the M10P. Of course.
I agree. It has all the "features" needed, while having the original M series DNA, It will go down as a classic camera for sure.

M10 is a classic! I love mine too.
If I was buying I would choose the m10p over the m11 ….still a few about brand new seals ….still I’m happy with my film mp and r7 ….

Like you, I wanted a digital rangefinder that had the looks, feel, and handling of my Leica M6. When Leica produced the M10, I bought one. Regretfully, it was defective. I returned it to Leica for a full refund.
A year later, I bought another M10. This one had a defective sensor. Since it was out of warrantee, it was going to cost me a small fortune to have it repaired.
I have been very displeased with my Leica M10 digitals.
I’m sad to see that you had so kick trouble with your M10s… it’s frustrating given the price tag. That’s why I also shoot with Fujifilm gear ;)

I used 21mm f/1.4, 35mm f/1.4, and 90mm f/2 lenses on my Leica M6 film rangefinder.
While I waited for Leica to produce what I wanted, I bought 16mm f/1.4, 23mm f/1.4, 56mm f/1.2 lenses for a Fuji X Pro mirrorless for a lot less than what I paid for my defective M10 bodies. I have been very pleased with my Fuji equipment.
I am still using m246 & don't see a reason to update ))

Hi, I just sold my m240.
Do u think m10 is just enough? Or I should go for m10-r? Tho price is a concern, but would it be a better option in terms of “investment value” ?
M-10R it depends on how important having a quieter shutter and a few extra features like the level gage and automatic perspective correction is to you. If none of these are a must for you, I would go with M10 and invest more in good Leica glass!

I have the original Q and is thinking about getting a M6 for film photography. Although I definitely prefer the colors from film, I want to get the M10 for ease of digital cameras. Would you recommend M6 or M10 as my first M?
they obviously require a different workflow, but I would recommend starting with the M10 to have the convenience of an M with a digital workflow. Then, if you see that you really like the rangefinder and body shape of the system, you can always add an M6 later and have a consistent shooting experience regardless of it's film or digital. hope this helps, Cheers!

M10 …. Then save for a Mp…. A far better camera then M6…. Unless of course your going to get lucky and get the new today M6 ….

hi folks. i’m considering to buy m10 and i want to know how live view, play and menu buttons are working. am i right that each of this buttons disables screen completely, when pressed in a mode this buttons are corresponding to? let’s say camera in a live view mode, so pressing live view button will disable the screen, right?
Correct, pressing the LV button when in that mode will turn LV off and the screen will go black. also you cal call up a screen of information (battery level, SD card space, etc.) when pressing the center of the directional wheel pad even when the screen is off. This is a convenient way to see important info without having to go through the menu. Hope that helps, cheers!

Why do you have that noise in the background that makes it more difficult to hear and understand what you are saying. I wanted to hear what you had to say as I am also interested in the M10

now that the m11 is out would you still recommend the m10? is the m10 better in low light ?
Although I’m interested in the M11 to compare it with my M10, I would still recommend the M10 for anyone who wants a modern and capable Leica M at a more affordable price than the M11. As for low light, I will have to test and report back. I’m hearing good things about how the new BSI 60MP sensor of the M11 handles low light, but I will need to do a side by side comparaison before I can provide a recommendation on that front. Hope this helps!
