Nilou team doesn't feel any more restrictive to me than Ayaka Freeze or Ganyu Melt. It's just team comp that works and we have plenty of characters to choose from. Even with Barbara, Collei, and DMC Nilou's team is great. But if you don't have Nahida yet, I definitely recommend going for Nahida first.
Or hu tao vape, most of the time you will go for a good optimized team without changes.
Players are hung up about it cause Nilou's team comp restriction is in written down as her passive, but it's no different for majority of meta comps. Her team is so fun to play, and that what matters. The fact that her team is so chaotic is just a bonus.
I almost spend rest my primo for shenhe last night
but morgana perma freeze was also one of the most popular teams in the game (ganyu, mona, diona, venti). so she has 2 solid but different team options, whereas ayaka and nilou really just have one each.

You can use both yaoyao and Barbara as f2p it would give a lot on field healing along with 2 insane healing bursts not to mention if you somehow get c6 Barbara she can even revive one of your character if you die.
To those who want both Nahida and Nilou. Just go for Nahida first just in case, trust me you'll thank yourself later.

@@niravparekh8337 did you pull nahida? if not then in my opinion nahida will be a very valuable addition to your account, she is by far the best dendro char and can fit into any team, just like yelan, i already pulled for her and got her, shes amazing and she also makes collecting things easier, but dont be forced to pull for meta, i also pulled nahida because shes my fav archon
As a proud double crowned Nilou haver, I say if you have Nahida and like bloom/want to try it, then definitely get Nilou! Shes also just really pretty and fun to use :D

@@reynerestebanb.h4014 I have Kazuha at 9-10-9, and I use his EM build 95% of the time. Sometimes, you just want to change how you play a character you like, especially if theyre fun to use. I can see a reason why they have Nilou double crowned other than just liking their character a lot.
I think her value really depends on who you have on your account. If you don’t have a way to consistently apply dendro (Nahida, Alhaitham) or a reliable way to heal from the self damage (Kokomi, Yaoyao) you might have a different experience than those who do. Also while you don’t necessarily need to worry about spending resources on leveling talents, you will want everyone on the team raised to lvl 90 which can be pretty expensive.
*Edit: also farming EM artifacts for her teammates can be a massive pain if you don’t already have some EM pieces for Gilded or Deepwood depending on your artifact luck because the rng rates for EM mainstats are incredibly low.
in every abyss since her release half of niloumains have been using barbara, dendro mc + collei to clear abyss lmao
She's pretty good with 4 stars teammates, having other dendro/hydro 5 stars just makes her so much better. Kinda like ayaka where she's pretty good with Diona/rosaria/xingqiu etc. but getting kokomi and shenhe turns her into a great unit.
The only powerboost to add in your Nilou team is Nahida. The rest is just YaoYao and Barbara.
Also artifacts, you don't need crit artifacts for both nilou and thr trigger charcters.
If we really consider every resin spent, her team is not really expensive compared to other Crit reliant characters.

Nilou has always been Worth it lololol but I'm glad the people who didn't have a chance to pull for her will get a chance to do so again. The deadly blooms while she dances around is super satisfying

@@sugiyonotahu Nilou healers are pretty easy to build, personally I use yaoyao with guilded dreams until baizhus banner, then Ill just trade all the pieces to him. just build as much HP as you can really

Would certainly like to see why Collei and Nilou make a good combo. Been hearing a lot of flak about Collei giving her some light would warm my heart.
Nahida works with more teams. But many once you have made a super bloom nilou team and just nuke a floor of abyss with it, it does have an appeal that is hard to pass up even if its very limited team type.
Kaveh seems to have a bloom based kit too! So im gonna pull for Nilou to use her with Kaveh! They both look really fun :D

I would be carefull with pulling for Nilou if your planning playing her with Kaveh. I dont know for sure, but it could be that Nilou´s Bountiful Cores dont work with Kaveh. Like it was with Raiden and Beidou.

I'm planning to go for Nilou this patch and as it happens, I was also looking for an excuse to finally build Collei. So here's my vote for the Collei video! 😊
I wonder if there'll be another updated review with Baizhu in mind. I feel like that with Nilou might be awesome.
Baizhu will probably actually not be good with Nilou, because in his burst state he creates shields for his team, and with Nilou's bountiful cores, you actually want to take damage from them in order to get the huge EM buff from one of her passives, where it is required you take damage from her cores to get it. Having a shield kind of makes that useless. Kaveh on the other hand will be amazing with her because he heals himself when he takes damage from the cores, and his elemental skill allows him to make all the cores explode around him at once. :3
@@starlette7820 his shield is as strong as a crystalized shield iirc, i think you’d still take damage nevertheless, the shield is just a glorified resist to interrupt. Kaveh tho, why would his instant bloom be useful on a team where the blooms are already instant anyway? His self heal is nice tho.
@@starlette7820 u can get damaged with Baizhu’s shield which absorption meant to deal with the amount of damage the core inflicts, plus once the shield breaks, not only it heals your active character, his passive buffs as well.
@@elfymer Hmm well even still, it seems like his dendro application wont be very good either compared to nahida or even yaoyao, so I still dont think he'd be the best option for Nilou bloom. Especially if you ant to use Kaveh with nilou bloom since he just self heals.
@@Eclin I mean that's fair but i still dont think he'll be that great, Baizhu's dendro application is looking to not be that great, so Nahida and even YaoYao I feel will outperform him in every way.
and yeah the instant core explosion isnt that useful with Nilou, but the self heal is great and basically makes any kind of shield kind of unnecessary. I planned on using Xingqiu in my bloom team with nilou and kaveh, so i have resistance interrupt and more healing there, so Baizhu is kind of unnecessary for me personally.
With Kaveh she'll be really good due to him healing a bit from cores
Im so glad having Nilou. Not as waifu purpose, but her bountiful cores are so deadly.
For healer because of corez self damage, i just use Barbara.

alhaitham (with more focus on EM instead of atk) with xinqiu is amazing in nilou teams if you don't have nahida. That's what I've been using and it even works very well in single target
Yes she is worth it. Her with Nahida and Yelan. Mark with Nahida, water wall with Nilou then dash through enemies with Yelan, instant kill
She's my first Sumeru 5 star character. When the Sumeru charcters was leaked, she caught my eye and I knew I had to save for her. So I skipped Tighnari and Cyno(despite the hype for him back then) to save for Nilou and it was really worth it. I ignored all those negative comments about her team restriction since Im pulling just because I liked her design anyway, Im very happy she ended up strong in terms of meta.
She's very easy to build and you dont need to level up her talents but I triple crowed mine anyways since she's one of my favorite character ❤
I love to play the Nilou Team with Xingqui and Yaoyao ^.^ so much fun to pair the ults of both of them. I am so happy to have Nilou ♥
I play Nilou team with Yaoyao too. Her ES heal so much, and her burst can heal all of her team. It's really satisfying when I use Yelan burst, then Yaoyao burst so there will be a lot of explosion and heal 😂😂😂
I think kaveh and/or Beizhu in the next half of 3.6 could be insane for Nilou Too. Both have Dendro infused normals and especially kaveh Looks Like a amazing Support for her

I love her character design so much but I really want Baizhu so i figured I'd just skip her banner.. but my gambling addiction took over and I made a few ten pulls.. got her at 49 pity and I still have more than 60 wishes left. happy happy happy :')
I'd say that nahida is the best option bewteen the two of them, since nilou works mostly on the specific team of bloom, which is hard to get big value from if you aren't fighting groups of enemys
The abyss always has multiple enemies so it doesn't matter much.
I have consistently used nilou on all the abyss rotations since her release. What you are talking about. She is literally good everytime, even on the current one.
@Heimschlag tbh that can be said for every unit if invested right and built to the max like my f2p ayaka for example. I cleared the current spiral abbys 12-3 and the previous abyss 12-3 just with a normal ayaka team so it really depends how much time you invest on a Character

Having her since first banner, it was absolutely worth it, even tho I didn’t used her much since I don’t have kokomi and didn’t want to buils Barbara. But yaoyao safed me :)
Ever since her first run, I really wanted her, but with Nahida around the corner, I had to skip her for guaranteed Nahida, now I have a guaranteed Nilou, and I'm super excited about getting her on Wednesday!!
If you have her with Nahida to use hyperbloom if she like, they’re the best in AoE and single target
for anyone on the fence of pulling for nilou consider one thing: are the characters on your account within dendro and hydro able to do these two things:
apply the element quickly
heal the damage from the bountiful cores
that is all! i love playing her nilou is great
Nilou is amazing, I play with Nahida, Kokomi and Collei, esily clearing any abyss enemy
I feel like crying...I started this game the moment it dropped since day 1, I took a break and came back to genshin because I was playing it everyday, never missed commission and was burnt out (especially since I play 2 accounts) I came back and missed Nahida release, cyno release, Nilou release and now...everyone is saying Nahida and Nilou is good but..I don't have any of them, with the 3.6 that just updated I can't get them both and I want Baizhu as well because I had been waiting for him to come...everything at once is just driving me crazy and I have some maps to explore on both acc😢

As i purposefully skipped her and struggled SO hard in the few recent Abyss Cycles...but now that i have Nahida, i can finally get her and redeem myself!

I think recent abyss dont need nilou,
I play raiden national on team 1.
Nahida+yae+barbara on team 2.
Its still work since nahida relase 😅.
And raiden national works since raiden relase.
But i still want nilou, for my bloom team.

@@rakawidipratama8069bloom is very strong against the hydro abyss lol. You can actually use nahida and nilou on those same floors. They struggle against the cryo one though and would be a bad idea to use them on that floor.

I run Raiden National on 1st half and Kuki Hyperbloom on 2nd half(which destroyes everything btw)
The thing is....if i get Nilou i can basically get a much easier to play version of Bloom....(i.e Nilou EEE and Nahida E > N1 spam)

Yeah I would like to see that Collei video on her usage in Nilou Bloom teams. I been thinking lately of putting Collei in one since she is f2p and seems to provide a ton of dendro with her skill and burst.
I skipped her before, but I'm determined to get her this time because her kit is unique and interesting.

show us some collei love please, i think she is way too underappreciated, i have niliou, collei, lumine and barbara build for the abyss and they never failed me, amazing and economic team for ftp players, all of them can use forged 4 star weapons and only need to farm for em and hp stats wich is super easy
My Nahida is currently C1 cus I got lucky on her release so now I'm guaranteed C2, tho the problem is I don't have any savings yet lol (I'm 45-50 wishes short). Hope I get her early so I can try to get Nilou.

She may have a restrictive playstyle, but it's a playstyle that freaking slaps. It's one of my favorite playstyles and it's been one of my most successful, if not my most successful team comps in the abyss.
Bloom + Frozen is my favorite thing, I have her on alt account with Hu Tao and Her bestie Yae Miko.
She is worth it, especially if you have nahida, her superbloom teams and her own kit, she's one of the most broken and f2p friendly units
Nilou made the game so beyond easy she’s insane
But she is only that, when you Nahida.
@@Greatcelestialkaligo Nope, she works great without Nahida with Collei or YaoYao. Nahida is optimal but not needed at all.

@Great Celestial Kaligox, Nilou is insane in and out of bloom and I wish I hadn’t listened to idiots about building her sooner bc I was missing out. And way to tell me you either don’t have her or haven’t tried her in other comps. Shes just as strong/ amazing with my 4-stars when I have to switch her up in abyss cause I need Nahida/Kokomi for my other team. And her hydro dmg is even insane in vape as well hitting just short of 100k with only a Jean/Kazuha (switchable), Bennett and Kokomi (never farmed or built her properly only 140 crit dmg, 1000 atk, not fully leveled, but 52k hp with f2p weapon). 100k Hydro burst in vape not even built! with thrown together, left over artifacts!! Never would I have imagined. Without anybody else’s buffs she hits 9-14k normal attacks, higher than the average ayato/ayaka’s Normal attacks, she just needs a speed increasing character to speed up get dmg per second to be the same as theirs that Jean easily fixes and does more NA dmg as well. She’s officially my fastest killing team. All mobs are dead in 3-5 seconds and bosses average 10-15 (with exception of cutscene bosses cause of the obvious).
P.S. In my vape comp, I’ve never gotten around to building Jean or Bennett even in the sense of lazily building my Nilou. They’re not build and they still hit 100k so once they’re actually built it’ll greatly exceed that lol. Her strength is pure insanity and I love it.

Don't have her weapon, or any constellations, and yet, her team with nahida and dendro traveler is hands down my favorite and Strongest team with constant blooms hitting for around 30k and nahidas skill hitting for 30k to 40k😋😋

I pulled the key of khaj nisut on weapon banner while going for nahida’s weapon so now im seriously considering pulling nilou (i have enough wishes, but i’d been saving them for baizhu)
I would like to know more about that Collei build. I'm also having trouble understanding what stats we should be looking for in the Deepwood set to maximize Nilou's bloom damage.
I'm glad I pulled Nilou the day she made her debut. I got her on an 18 pity 50/50 win, and her 3.1 Bloom team with Kokomi, Collei and DMC was more than enough to let me 36-star the Abyss for the first time ever. Got Nahida in 3.2 and got her to almost 1000 EM thanks to good luck getting EM Deepwood pieces. I've used Nilou Bloom in every Abyss since pulling her. I'll be saving my guaranteed for Kazuha, so I'll wait for a 4-star HP% sword to make its debut to give her a new weapon. Until then, she can use Iron Sting or Festering Desire.

Nilou's team is one of my top teams, the cores are powerfullll
other reason's than bloom for Nilou:
1. can be a pretty good hydro DPS if you're willing to try it.
2. her personality. do the main storyline and her quest and you'll understand. worth.
3. she's the archon simp on Sumeru.
4. she is insanely fucking adorable.
5. friendship dialog is stupid cute and her friendship card looks sick.
Restrictive team comp yeah like majority of meta players sticking to c2raiden national, ayaka freeze, hutao vape etc since day1.😅

I run Nilou with Nahida, Yelan and Yao Yao, it is a VERY effective team comp.
That's the team I want to use! Can I ask what build they have? Yelan must have a EM build or her normal build (hp/hydro/crit) is ok?

I just got done beating Wenut on the abyss full stars clear with Nilou bloom, now I feel like if she can even beat a single target boss that tanky, she can plow everything from now onwards.

i have nilou and i must say shes always been strong and shes only getting stronger. also she scales great w vertical investment sunch as her signature and nahida(and her cons)
I guess that once true corrosion meta like honkai impact come it will kill all character in 15-20 sec. They will force you to pull Kokomi as well and with true healer set on Kokomi will decrease team`s dps by a lot and they will also turn abyss floor into permanent ice in order to prevent any of you using Barbara. Monster will get power creep too and Nilou also take self bomb damage along side with new power creep monster and corrosion and don`t worry Hutao will suffer too.
i won the key sword by mistake -was pulling for the 4* weapons- and now nilou is coming -i have nahida- and was thinking of pulling.. except that i’ve been waiting for baizhu for so long!

As a Nilou C1R1 haver, I recommend getting at least her C1 to virtually remove the cooldown of her E water ring which is really fun to keep spamming during rotations

I managed to snag Nahida + her weapon and a C6 Yaoyao, but honestly I have 0 interest in Nilou - nothing really against her gameplay, but her character seemed so inane during her story quest and during the interactions with her in the archon quest. The only memorable part was that NPC who mentioned touching grass ...
Glad her banner is before Baizhu/Kaveh so she's an easy skip
Ima go with kokomi first since she the only character left for my Ayaka perfect freeze team (Ayaka, kazuha, Shenhe & kokomi)
My biggest upgrade for the NIlou - Nahida team will be Baizhu. I hope he works better than my Yaoyao. I'm still waiting for Kokomi rerun
i think nilou has a really underestimated skill ceiling. ofc she's SUPER GOOD (36k+ blooms that explode immediately) but you have to think about the self damage she does to your team. i wouldn't say i'm the best player but it still shocks me how my onfield char (nahida, kokomi) are at like 8k hp without me even noticing! along with hp u have to consider a lot of factors too like refreshing nilou skill uptime, if u have kokomi bursting before jellyfish goes to cd, etc.
Nilou with alhaitham and nahida is astonishingly destructive 🤯
I'm so conflicted. From what I've seen Nilou will be having her rerun pretty soon, i really like her elegant dance like playstyle. I have Nahida and Raiden and I use them together with Xingqiu for hyperbloom, basically in all instances. Idk if I should pull for Neuvi or Nilou 😭
If we’re talking meta wise, I’d say Neuvi may be a better pull since Nilou can struggle in single target content like bosses, while Neuvi can do both single and multi target content. Oh and Neuvi is pretty flexible since he encourages having multiple elements on the team, whereas you’re locked in to using dendro and hydro for Nilou (and Nahida is almost a must in her team since she provides so much to the team) unless you’re playing off meta like vape Nilou.
I accidentally got her RIGHT before I got Nahida and I was PISSED bc I thought it might mess me up from getting Nahida, but I happened to get both!! I love her though

i really hoped kaveh would be on nilou's banner since he seems like he'll be a great on-field bloom driver, but it looks like i'll be going broke rolling on both phases to get them both instead.....

I have Nilou and I don't even use her for bloom team lol. It's crazy to me how she deals decent dmg despite her passive being restrictive. With r5 iron sting, I can deal 200k on her ult (combined), and casual 70k - 80k (got lucky and have her at c1) on the last hit of her E (this is vape btw).
as someone who rolled for Nilou on her release, If you don't have a good dendro applicator like Nahida or a well built C2 Collei, then it is a guaranteed skip for you.
She is damn good but I only knew how good she is since I had pre-planned on getting her and Nahida so I had a lot of saved-up primos to guarantee it

I got nilou out of nowhere at 10 pity and it was my third consecutive 50/50 win so I was incredibly surprised. I wasn't expecting her so I'm trying to see how I can use her now lol I got Nahida from her first run and I also have Alhaitham so I'll use them with her 😅
Her teams aren’t even that restrictive. Nilou bloom teams are basically hp+em scaling version mono geo.
As long as her hp is right and everyone has some em, all you have to do is random bullshit go for green explosions.
