I like this vid actually, although 18 minutes mark did made me hesitate to watch. A bit too long for something as casual as this imo. 13:35 This is totally me as well. Now I mainly use Ganyu only a day each week for weekly bosses. I literally just spam CA and don't have to see the screen while checking work on smartphone and even while playing another mobile game at the half other times. Sure, that also probably the reasoning her haters typically use, boring aim, yada-yada. But at least it has some real use and still powerful af.
Dehya is now one of my favorite characters now that I have her maxed at level 90. She completely obliterates anything especially when bad guys ate loaded up with Dendro first, she fights just like her personality, mature and not putting up with anyones childish sht, just awesome.
love these videos with more personal opinions. They are intgeresting. In my case, i got really burnout from Yelan. She is so op I started using her in every team and also for exploration but that got to a point where i even got tired of looking at her burst animation. Now Ive been avoiding her and going for other hydro characters instead. Its been fun trying new teams. On the other hand i have been using tighnari so much. I got him from standar banner on my bday
The 5 star that I use a lot after pulling. Alhaitham - He is just too powerful in Spread team. Also his deep voice ahhhh Zhongli - It's Zhongli. You know what he does. Eula - She's still the ultimate waifu in Genshin. Nilou and Nahida in Bloom team... OP af The one I regret is... Ganyu. I do not like her playstyle. I only use her against Scara as my mono cryo sub dps.
Al Haitham is just soo good, i am playing for 2 years already so i have a lot of 5* characters and almost all of them are built, but when i need to kill a weekly boss or do some domain runs, i always come back to him. He is just so fun to use, his dmg output is great, and i find his rotations quite interesting, like yk, you need to think before you do something, but it doesn’t feel overly complicated or clunky (sorry Cyno). AND i love the sound effect of the projection attack when you’re at 3 mirrors, i don’t know why, but it sounds hella satisfying to my ears.
I benched Zhongli in my Itto team for Dori xD I just find that the little ER boost she gives my Itto is enough to have his burst ready on cool down. She gives a small crystilize shield and that combined with her healing is enough to keep the team healthy for me.
regret and burnout are two different things ,regret would be something like you barely use them to begin with while burnout is you just use them too much in the past ,now you just want a breath of fresh air .i' have a few characters that i got burnout with ,but regret ? nah ..they've kept me entertain long enough
That's why I don't pull on characters I like but for characters that I like and I think I'll use too. Gives me several versions of saved up primogems before I pull making me guaranteed for weapon and character. In cases that I don't have enough yet (370 pulls or ~60k primogems) I wait for rerun. Why do I do this? Because past pulls are mostly all near pity and only two wins in 5050.
I regret not pulling on her rerun SO BAD. I pulled for Nilou instead because I already got tighnari and alhaitham consecutively during that time and I still haven't got a 5 star hydro so I thought why not pull for Nilou but nooo it's been months and I've NEVER used her at all if I ever need to use hydro I just pull barbara and she does the job. Now I have to suffer cause I know it will take a damn while before she gets a rerun 😢
I relate so much with the ganyu burnout. Loved her since her 1st release but Just like in the movie toy story, we all outgrow toys, even the one we use the most...
I feel that way towards ayaka, once a top tier 5 star sword user comes, her mist splitter going straight to that person and if we get another top tier cyro character ayaka’s artifacts going to that person.
I actually just used her for a couple of abyss runs as a support in an ayaka monocryo team. I don't like her play style but I like her character and her e and burst work well as a support. I was happy I got to use her again.
I think I've gotten extremely dependent on yelan. She is just amazing for the open world. Got her C1 too just for that. I can live without zhongli but I can't live without yelan.
Same. And I'm not only addicted to her in the overworld, but also in combat. Having any attack also apply Hydro is so addicting, so many numbers on screen.
Yeh same got her c1 and weap on the rerun and using her only made it more fun seeing a support doing such sick dmg and great for overworld exploration is just top tier
I got her on the rerun while trying to get either her or Xingqiu to C6 (he's still C5). No regrets. But... My most reliable guy would still probably be Kazuha. I rarely even exchange him for Venti unless I'm playing Alhaitham and need CC (+ Venti has Elegy) and there are very few teams where I don't get him out into the world. I've had Kazuha since he was released and oh boy... still using him pretty much every day haha
@@Gamfluent my Yelan is in need of Favonius haha And I don't have enough EM on Kazuha to run him with Fav comfortably (I have Xiphos though, it's almost as good as Fav in terms of ER (but I have enough ER substats) and gives EM. But Kazuha is on my main abyss teams while Yelan... Mainly in overworld rn but maaaybe she'll be in more abysses hehe Just in case, I play Kazuha much more than Venti but in Alhaitham's teams (I mainly play him as a spread DPS and occasionally Hyperbloom) I go for Venti for CC
I love ayato for the sameeee reason he is so perfect for open world trash mobs Alhaitham does way more dmg than I expected tbh and he is go to rn for more frontloaded dmg. Yelan I was only pulling for Xingqui constellations when I won my 50/50 and was in shock. I did want her but was saving for future characters but this woman was a blessing in disguise and one of the only characters I never take off my team now! Nahida is the other character who I always have on my team since I got her! Kokomi is who I go to as my tank and she was my first 5 star and carried me for so long. I don't wanna say regret but timing wise I do regret Cyno. I should've waited for a rerun rather than him being my 2nd limited character because i do like his playstyle but he just doesn't play smoothly unless you have the right team but that's a reason I want baizhu tbh.
These 'regret summoning X character' videos are things that new players may not have problems with, especially when they plan who to pull in advance, because they have the advantage of informations on the already released & reviewed characters
The characters that made Tighnari feel complete to me were Yae and Nahida. They clear abyss so fast even at C0 and are one of my top 4 meta team comps right now since launch.
Honestly, I don't even regret lost 50/50s. It's how I even managed to get Qiqi after a long time of trying to do so on standard. And now I can get Tighnari and Dehya? It's a win-win in my book!

Based and a man of culture as well, but building pity is what I must confess coz got Cyno early and have his weapon when pulling for Dehya's bacon, no regrets tho, instead of losing those 50/50 into a std. weapon or char.
Only character I regret pulling is Cyno. I tried really hard to like him after release because he seemed so fun and unique but his rotations are just stunted to me, even with Nahida. Only character I regret NOT pulling for is Nilou but that's about to change tonight. Bloom teams ended up being my go-to and she would be a great addition to any of them.
I understand the burn off of xiao. For some reason though to me, he is still my favorite character to use but also xiao was one of the characters that got me into genshin in the first place.
Ayato is definitely my most played character lol , it has been more than a year since he got released and he’s never been out of my teams for both spiral abyss/exploration it’s mostly due to how super versatile he is + super satisfying too
Its really crazy to me how I haven't got even close to being bored with him yet despite his gameplay seemingly being so simple. I think there's the satisfaction of his animations and effects plus just how great his teams feel to play. Ayato Soup just has so many shiny colors on the screen I never get tired of it
Meanwhile ayato’s my regret lol. I pulled him just cause he’s a tall husbando and i gotta catch em all but yelan, xingqiu and childe have always been much superior to him in any team i use so he just sits there for moral support 🫡
I use alhaitham and yao yao a lot recently just to max out their friendship level. I'm still maxing out my 5 stars so I don't really regret pulling for them because I'm grateful I have 5 stars.
@@neoe5970 The simple gameplay could be what make her popular to some people. I personally love Scara so much, I pull for him just to get Faruzan for my Xiao but now I use him more than Xiao lol. Just spamming normal or charge attack with him is so much fun and world exploration with him is too good, I also love using his dodge move even if the skill dmg isn't that high, it looks cool
I originally regretted pulling for Cyno, but he eventually grew on me with the hyperbloom playstyle.(with the inazuma craftable polearm he works very well) Who I regret getting tho is Albedo, Xiao, Wanderer, Ganyu and Klee. A litle Ayaka too, but she will see more use after I get Kokomi

Wanderer for me is nr1, love the attack animation and play style. I Don't regret any pulls, i think a lot about how to invest my primo's. Baizhu wil be my next pull.
I love Cyno the character. The art of him, the memes, his characterization are all amazing. One of my favorites! ...his gameplay, however, I don't like. I enjoy burst unga bunga spam characters (Xiao and Itto are two of my other faves) but he just feels so restrictive. My guy REALLY needs a shield or interrupt resistance in order to feel functional, which can be hard with reliance on a good electro battery, dendro applicator, and possibly hydro applicator if Hyperbloom. It's even harder considering I have a C2 Raiden (with her weapon) that just feels like a stronger electro burst DPS. :(
I haven't regret pulling for any character, to be honest. I make use of every character in some form or fashion. Weapon banners, on the other hand... Some late term regret simply because of some of the money I dumped into trying to get weapons that turned out to not be so great, like Zhongli's "signature" polearm.
I often pull for any new character even if they are off meta/mid. I always end up using the new characters for a week to a month/new releases (Including Dehya despite her underwhelming kit) since it’s always nice to unlock some kind of hidden potential
I have Dehya maxed now and she is one my best kick ass, clean the floor, put up with no sht hammers. She can completely wipe the floor if the boss is loaded up with Dendro first. She’s the big girl in the room everyone looks up to and fights like it too once you stay with her long enough to build her whole kit. It’s the reward at the end.
For me, my most used ones are Hu Tao, Wanderer, Zhongli, Yelan and Nahida (Honorable mention: Kokomi. I pulled her for my hyperbloom team and it was really worth it, even though it's the least used of my regular teams). Also, I'm currently on a mission to rebuild my Keqing for aggravate, since I really like her and she was my main in the past (almost since launch), but I stopped using her a short while after pulling Hu Tao in 1.3. The one I regreted pulling the most was Raiden, at least until Dendro released, because I didn't really like her gameplay as much as I initially thought I would, but as a hyperbloom trigger she's really nice. The ones I still regret pulling are Eula, Yae, Shenhe (didn't improve my Ayaka team as much as I was hoping for) and Itto. Cyno is a weird one because I don't use him that much, but I also don't really regret pulling him, simply because I like him that much. As for those who I used a lot in the past but stopped (though I don't regret pulling them): Albedo, Xiao, Ganyu, Ayaka (used her for Wenut in Abyss again after a long break), Venti, Kazuha and Childe.

I've been using Tighnari and Wanderer the most! I love their playstyles, they're both so fun. I just pulled Nilou so I'm really diving into bloom teams, she'll probably become one of my most played. Very excited for Baizhu as well, Kokomi has been my go-to healer for too long, I'll get to shuffle some of my team comps around with him instead
I don't think I regret anyone per se. Xiao and Hu Tao are characters I've never used much, or at all, but it gives me comfort having them in my account. Idk if this makes sense. Their playstyle is just not for me, I guess?I've tried so many times to make them work but for me it's just it. I get the dendro hype though. Never thought I'd turn so much from geo main into a dendro main but the reactions are just insaaaanely fun. Only thing I'd disagree about what you said would be that spread feels lacking (in comparison to hyperbloom). When it comes to dendro reactions, quicken is still my favorite one. And while I understand hyperbloom is better and I use it now and then, the quickened damage popping off on screen, especially with Tighnari's lighting fast arrows, it feels reaaaally satisfying to me. Like yeah, I know Alhaitham, Cyno and others are all better with hyperbloom because that's just how broken hyperbloom is. But it makes me happy seeing their raw damage double or even triple thanks to quicken, and knows it was then causing it, and not just Kuki carrying the team.
It took me almost a year to decide if I liked playing Hu Tao or not, but she was worth it in the end. I don't really like her for world stuff, but she's my go to for many domains.
As a f2p player, i don't regret any of my characters cz i wish on those character banners which i love to play most or i want to... It's nice to share your opinion with ours, it's helps a lot❤
I fortunately never regret pulling. As for character I use very often now it's Wanderer. I dunno why I pull him, I never was a fan of him, maybe just was washed away by tide of hype around him. BUT NOW I think he's one of the best my choices. He so much fun to play in abyss and open world. And as I build him i use him in every abyss and he saved me a lot of times. I don't have good dendro team so even to 3.5 I never get 36* with dendro team. But already 4 times I think Wanderer get's the job done very well. I build him with VV-set cause I had many bad arts so just used them in strongbox. And get 78/198 crits, but 0 EM. Talents 9/9/9. You may think "dude you gave him VV-set and don't have EM? WTF?" But even like this he produce great damage. My favorite team for him is Wanderer/Diona/Xiangling/Bennet. Unfortunately Faruzan ignored me entirely, but even without her he smash down every mob completely. Now I want him to triplecrown. HE DESERVE IT!
As much as I enjoy playing Alhaitham (one of my current mains), nothing will ever beat the feeling of playing Childe (my old but also current mains) especially in Childe International. Idek why this is the case with the majority of players but his play style is not actually difficult. Once you understand his kit you will demolish every content. His riptide mechanic is also satisfying asf, probably the most satisfying mechanic in Genshin. I don’t have any regrets pulling certain characters as someone who collects them, because who knows maybe one day due to meta shifting, the one character I don’t ever use may become super useful later. Overall its just nice to have them in my account.
The fact that i've been using Zhongli about 3 Years in my lifespan playing genshin was so insane , i realized that using tenacity set gives a good buff with black tassel is good. But , as corrosion is a thing it was really concerning that Zhongli would not be good at all .
Using Kokomi ever since her first day of the first banner. Her teammates may have changed because of Hyperbloom but she is almost always there. And even though some characters I don't use too often, I don't regret getting anyone from them. If nothing else I'm regretting not being flexible enough to use different over world teams all the time to use every single character from time to time. Also my heart shattered as you said that you regret getting the donut of Kokomi. After 3.1 live stream that showed that there won't be Eula rerun, I went and pulled the donut. And I'm so happy that Kokomi was my first character to get her signature weapon and she is using it till this day.
I would switch yoimiya for almost any other character lol, I just cant stop getting reminded of the times when people called me a moron for pulling on her banner ( I wanted sayu and had to learn about fourstars the hard way)
I think the community gaslit themself into believing literally no anemo unit is valid besdies kazhua. There’s abyss floors in 9-11 venti can beat in about 5 seconds. Pretty much if there’s more than 1 wave of small enemies he’s really good for that. Kazhua is for sure way better than him when it comes to bosses tho
As a Keqing main since day 1 (she was, literally, my first pull), I can tell you like Alhaitham so much because their playstyles are similar, while he has a lot of damage. I'm also in love with him. He actually got Cyno's place on hyperbloom. I consider Ganyu the best unit do to daily commission. Just smash whatever from afar.
“Why do I regret summoning” Me: What is this mysterious word “regret”? Joking aside I don’t regret any character I summon as I have all of them and one of my main goals is to collect all the characters. However I don’t plan to get multiple constellations once I get the new 5 star character until their next rerun if I want to. Of course we all don’t need all the characters, but as someone who’s been playing games for the past 27 years I feel uneasy when I don’t have all the characters in the games I play if I’m able to do it that is.
I really enjoyed this different format from you :D and oh well, I got Ayaka when her eternal banner happened but other than exploring the Chasm around the time it released, I never used Ayaka that much... I got Shenhe this rerun and I can't stop putting them together in my abyss teams, domains or just overworld!
My most used is Xiao, I waited for a year after I started playing to finally get him. As to a character that I regret I don’t think there is one, but at first I was scared that I was gonna regret pulling for alhaitham since I pulled for him mainly because he’s hot, but now he’s one of my favorite characters to play and I use him almost as much as I use Xiao
hard agree on wanderer, his playstyle does not click with me but i havent been able to take him out of my overworld team since 3.3, flying is just too good and brainless CA spam is easy and enough dmg for overworld mobs meaning the rest of the team can be whoever for puzzles/world mechanics/qol. Hope hoyo releases more qol characters with a better playstyle
I don't necessarily regret pulling for any of my characters, but I have 4 carries(Xiao,Wanderer,Ganyu,Nilou) that I just don't really use because National and Hu Tao are just better at dealing with most things.
I'm in the same spot, i only use Hutao and Raiden c3 hyper, i don't really like both at c0 so i got the major cons and i only play both because Hutao is fun and strong and Raiden is now so strong that is fun
The only character I regret pulling is klee, she dosent really help much but the one who I really love to use is eula even though people dislike her, I have so much fun using her and she is my strongest character who could do 1 million dmg
You can try hyperbloom eula: Eula, xinqiu/yelan, Nahida, Raiden/Kuki. Eula is useful because she gets defense boost with e and also resistance to interrumption. Also she does well damage with raiden and you can enjoy multiple reactions.
The characters I really regret getting are the ones I already have on another account. Hu Tao helped me on my main, carrying the abyss with Ganyu on the other team, however.... my other account was doing fine with Ayaka and Yoimiya. Then, during that one banner, I pulled Ayaka on my main and... I don't use her. I literally farmed an entire Blizzard Strayer set for her, a domain I hadn't touched since before I got her but she just doesn't feel necessary when my Ganyu has an Amos Bow. The only character that is exempt to this is Yoimiya, she is amazing and so fun to use I am so glad I got her on both accounts. Then there's Xiao and Cyno, honestly I only got them because I love polearm users but their selfish playstyle and my lack of good polearm weapons really hinders my ability to enjoy them.
I feel the exact same way about Ayaka. I have her fully built with Amenoma lvl90, 9/9/9 talents and solid blizzard set but I don't think I've ever used her. I find Ganyu to be way more versatile since she can be played in melt, freeze and be a support, while Ayaka is just freeze.
I've been using thoma burgeon with Venti alot this few weeks. Let me tell you, this team is very fun when you fighting against a lot of enemies, and also, seeing those burgeon reaction is satisfying!
Ganyu. The only 5* i think i regret. Maybe Hu Tao but everytime i use her i have fun. With Ganyu and not really. Which is sad. But otherwise i really love all the 5* i have. And while i don't use them all very often i always have fun coming back. And i will never regret Klee. While i don't use her very often everythime i use her i have so much fun. Eula cannot be in a Dendro team. Hyperbloom Eula anyone °L°
A funny thing that I've noticed for myself is: I getting faster burned out by a character if the character is too strong on their own. After i got Mistsplitter on Ayaka i played her less and less. And it's not even about Freeze getting wrose. Ayaka can brute froce it. I know that and i can do that. But she got too strong. I couldn't actually play her anymore which is why i never pull for 5* cons tbh. Yeah pulling more and more chars means that more chars aren't used but i have fun with almost all of them. But if they are too strong and clear too fast i lose the fun because u don't actually play them anymore. This kills my motivation really fast. At the recent Abyss i avoided Al Haitham because he cleared too fast. The only exception to that is International (dunno why). Yeah i could get C2 Nahida and destroy everything but my C0 Nahida already deos this. Not as fast but at least i can play her and the team. I think it's the same reason why i don't warp skipp in Fire Emblem most of the time. I could clear a map in 10 minutes but that means i don't actually play the map. I have more fun playing the map for an hour and crashing multiple waves of reinforcements even if it's not really smart. But i want to see my units in action and use all the tools i have even if it isn't necessary.
As a F2P i regret few 5stars characters 1. Albedo 2. Yea miko 3.Diluc(For Upgrading)lost 50/50 only one time 4.Ayaka ( 3.6 banner because of No team comp ) she is good tho i got her 2 in 10 pulls mean C1 5.Ho tao (because of C0 and not a proper weapon) Best is 1.Raiden so far i got her C1 and her weapon i got in 20 pulls + one skyward atlas in 10 pulls
I use Alhaitham alot hyperbloom is so overpowered, have Yelan, Ei and Zhongli in that team. I definitely regret Eula she's not really fun to play, Mika wasn't really fun for me either so yeah Eula is warming the bench.
I'm gonna say don't pull for Nilou if you value versatile characters and team building because she is pretty much as niche as you can get. I prefer Nilou as a character to Nahida in both design and characterisation but as someone that got both, Nahida is way more fun to play around with and way more versatile.
So far i am missing 9 5* characters and out of them Kazuha, yoimiya, and kokomi are the only ones that i want Dendro team comp is good but most of the time i use vapourise in abyss to get the job done on time I just got nilou today so I'll take a look at nilou team composition Honestly i just like nilous character so i pulled her that's reason enough for me
AS someone who have every chara at c0 and most of them at R1 I regret pulling most of them, It is better to invest at constellation than some unit that you never touch again :/
I used to main Xiao a lot but when Wanderer came out, Pogo stick man got benched. Wanderer is hands down the the best overall character in the game. He deals a decent amount of damage, he's very good at exploration and most importantly... . . . . He makes catching crystal flies extremely easy
I don't regret getting any of my characters, though I will say that I could live without Eula LOL Itto, Albedo, Wanderer, Cyno, and Yoimiya have all been fun for me. I'll never regret Tartaglia or Alhaitham since they're my mains
While I luckily didn't waste a lot of primos on these characters I still regret getting Klee, Cyno, Childe and Xiao! Also kinda kinda regret getting Eula and Dehya due to their issues and playstyle (especially the latter one lol).
I have all the characters available in the game and don't regret any of them - bar one. All 5☆ and eleven 4☆ are 90 (with everyone else being 80), all have at least level 6 talents, and all get used (eventually). The only character that annoys the ever loving fuck out of me is Wanderer, his idle annimation seems to be stuck on him looking at his vision but the sfx of it drive me insane 🤢

Yelan, Wanderer and Nahida my Trio Favorite. Ihave Kazuha and Raiden i don't usually use them anymore😐 but i dont regret them, i only regret is Cyno and Alhaitham.. i got Alhaitham accidentally and i try him out and im not satisfied to his gameplay even though he is top tier C0 DPS... And Cyno is really hard to use when on field battle even with a shield or heal... You need to max hes energy when he is ON burst and of course hes burst its long seconds... I think Baizhu is going to be a perfect match for Cyno also those Dendro applications of him
I don’t regret anyone I’ve pulled but if I had to choose one on my account it would have to be Albedo. I rarely use him at all now maybe I’ll try using him more
I still have a level 20 Albedo from his initial release near the start of the game... No regrets, though, for one he was on the first Bennett banner, which allowed me to main melt-Bennett and Q vape Mona for a bit, and obviously just get an amazing character. Then I also don't regret it cause I will eventually level him, it's just that I STILL haven't really delved into geo as a whole, and my specialists for other areas just got better and better over time. He has his issues, mainly just vs. enemies that despawn the flower, but when he works well, he feels SUPER smooth to play.
The characters you use the most is basically who most players use the most. There's nothing wrong with it but I was hoping for more interesting characters.
In terms of 5 Stars, the Most I've used & Never Stop Playing is Keqing, Even before Dendro came, I've always consistently play her. I used to run her with Kuki/Xingqui/Sucrose. Now it's Keqing/Nahida/Kokomi/& Kazuha. And the Reason why I roled on his rerun banner, I never believe the hype before coz I had C6 Sucrose. Lucky for me, I for both won him & his Signature weapon at 1st Pity. Kokomi, I never everregretted pulling for her. I was among the Very Few that saw her potential, despite the hate from other Players & Content Creators back then ( Now, Some of Those Content Creators are Singing her Praises 😒 ). And Yes, I have her Signature Weapon, with No Regrets. Zhongli by Default, If Baizhu Shields are as Effective as Zhongli, I might bench him---- Who am I kidding I belong to the percentage that 'Lacks Skill'. I used to use Hu Tao a lot before, but I now I just bring her out to kill Childe Every Sunday. I don't regret pulling Eula, It's just that Everything Dies before her Burst goes out. Shenhe, I somewhat Regret pulling for her. I Only pulled for her as a Support for Ganyu. And She's Forever Stuck in my Ganyu Freeze Team. Nilou, I wanted her coz She's Cute & Wanted her as my 2nd Hydro Main (2nd to Kokomi). I didn't fully understand her kit & wanted her as Hydro Main. Eula main since her release, my best built character, haven't pulled a single Sumeru character 😢 bc I don't like any of them, wait for Fontaine I guess, my 675 wishes that was for Dehya ill use eventually.
My favorite/strongest teams right now are formed by the ones you don't use a lot: -> Burgeon: Tighnari, Klee, Venti and Kokomi (It came to be for me. Fast rotation and super easy to clean most of abyss levels) -> Freeze: Shenhe, Ayaka, Sucrose/Ganyu and Kokomi (I use it in the last floors) Besides that, sometimes I use: HuTao + Xingqiu; Eula + Shenhe + Fischl + Bennett; Itto + Albedo + Gorou + Bennett.
My biggest regret is probably ganyu, I try her every couple months and just don’t enjoy it. Maybe I’ll just build her support and see how that works…. Childe is a close second, don’t use him much but at least his basic gameplay isn’t bad. It just sucks when I forget to switch out of his stance and am not able to use him for the next 30 seconds.

13:35 This is totally me as well. Now I mainly use Ganyu only a day each week for weekly bosses. I literally just spam CA and don't have to see the screen while checking work on smartphone and even while playing another mobile game at the half other times. Sure, that also probably the reasoning her haters typically use, boring aim, yada-yada. But at least it has some real use and still powerful af.
You cannot regret pulling Dehya because you know exactly what you're getting into
Dehya is now one of my favorite characters now that I have her maxed at level 90. She completely obliterates anything especially when bad guys ate loaded up with Dendro first, she fights just like her personality, mature and not putting up with anyones childish sht, just awesome.
Honestly got her hoping for fixes and buffs but if that don’t happen I’ll regret it

In my case, i got really burnout from Yelan. She is so op I started using her in every team and also for exploration but that got to a point where i even got tired of looking at her burst animation.
Now Ive been avoiding her and going for other hydro characters instead. Its been fun trying new teams.
On the other hand i have been using tighnari so much. I got him from standar banner on my bday

The one I regret is... Ganyu. I do not like her playstyle. I only use her against Scara as my mono cryo sub dps.
I just have to share this but I haven't used the 10 star unit Bennett ever since Sumeru came out or even before that.
Al Haitham is just soo good, i am playing for 2 years already so i have a lot of 5* characters and almost all of them are built, but when i need to kill a weekly boss or do some domain runs, i always come back to him. He is just so fun to use, his dmg output is great, and i find his rotations quite interesting, like yk, you need to think before you do something, but it doesn’t feel overly complicated or clunky (sorry Cyno). AND i love the sound effect of the projection attack when you’re at 3 mirrors, i don’t know why, but it sounds hella satisfying to my ears.
I benched Zhongli in my Itto team for Dori xD I just find that the little ER boost she gives my Itto is enough to have his burst ready on cool down. She gives a small crystilize shield and that combined with her healing is enough to keep the team healthy for me.

regret and burnout are two different things ,regret would be something like you barely use them to begin with while burnout is you just use them too much in the past ,now you just want a breath of fresh air .i' have a few characters that i got burnout with ,but regret ? nah ..they've kept me entertain long enough

That's why I don't pull on characters I like but for characters that I like and I think I'll use too. Gives me several versions of saved up primogems before I pull making me guaranteed for weapon and character. In cases that I don't have enough yet (370 pulls or ~60k primogems) I wait for rerun. Why do I do this? Because past pulls are mostly all near pity and only two wins in 5050.
That Alhaitham/Nahida/Xinqiu/Kuki hyperbloom team is one of my absolute favorites to play. So many numbers. So many colors.
That's the team I'm running right now and I'm planning to stick with it for a long time

I regret not pulling on her rerun SO BAD. I pulled for Nilou instead because I already got tighnari and alhaitham consecutively during that time and I still haven't got a 5 star hydro so I thought why not pull for Nilou but nooo it's been months and I've NEVER used her at all if I ever need to use hydro I just pull barbara and she does the job. Now I have to suffer cause I know it will take a damn while before she gets a rerun 😢

I relate so much with the ganyu burnout. Loved her since her 1st release but Just like in the movie toy story, we all outgrow toys, even the one we use the most...
Been maining her for more than a year but the excitement still sticks to me. I guess it helps that I love her archer playstyle.
I feel that way towards ayaka, once a top tier 5 star sword user comes, her mist splitter going straight to that person and if we get another top tier cyro character ayaka’s artifacts going to that person.
I got her up to C6, so she never got old.
Still the most OP character in the game imo.

I actually just used her for a couple of abyss runs as a support in an ayaka monocryo team. I don't like her play style but I like her character and her e and burst work well as a support. I was happy I got to use her again.

I think I've gotten extremely dependent on yelan. She is just amazing for the open world. Got her C1 too just for that. I can live without zhongli but I can't live without yelan.

I got her on the rerun while trying to get either her or Xingqiu to C6 (he's still C5). No regrets. But... My most reliable guy would still probably be Kazuha. I rarely even exchange him for Venti unless I'm playing Alhaitham and need CC (+ Venti has Elegy) and there are very few teams where I don't get him out into the world. I've had Kazuha since he was released and oh boy... still using him pretty much every day haha

And I don't have enough EM on Kazuha to run him with Fav comfortably (I have Xiphos though, it's almost as good as Fav in terms of ER (but I have enough ER substats) and gives EM.
But Kazuha is on my main abyss teams while Yelan... Mainly in overworld rn but maaaybe she'll be in more abysses hehe
Just in case, I play Kazuha much more than Venti but in Alhaitham's teams (I mainly play him as a spread DPS and occasionally Hyperbloom) I go for Venti for CC
The best character to have in the newest weekly boss is actually yaoyao that burst cleans out the torrents quick.

Yelan I was only pulling for Xingqui constellations when I won my 50/50 and was in shock. I did want her but was saving for future characters but this woman was a blessing in disguise and one of the only characters I never take off my team now! Nahida is the other character who I always have on my team since I got her!
Kokomi is who I go to as my tank and she was my first 5 star and carried me for so long.
I don't wanna say regret but timing wise I do regret Cyno. I should've waited for a rerun rather than him being my 2nd limited character because i do like his playstyle but he just doesn't play smoothly unless you have the right team but that's a reason I want baizhu tbh.
These 'regret summoning X character' videos are things that new players may not have problems with, especially when they plan who to pull in advance, because they have the advantage of informations on the already released & reviewed characters
The characters that made Tighnari feel complete to me were Yae and Nahida. They clear abyss so fast even at C0 and are one of my top 4 meta team comps right now since launch.
I never regret anyone, aside from the lost 50/50, specifically Qiqi. :D
I hate qiqi ,she is the least engaging character among any 5 star even the other standard ones have cool burst animations or playstyle.
Honestly, I don't even regret lost 50/50s. It's how I even managed to get Qiqi after a long time of trying to do so on standard. And now I can get Tighnari and Dehya? It's a win-win in my book!

I don’t have regrets because I pull for units that I like and not what Genshin content creators say is a must pull.
Based and a man of culture as well, but building pity is what I must confess coz got Cyno early and have his weapon when pulling for Dehya's bacon, no regrets tho, instead of losing those 50/50 into a std. weapon or char.

Only character I regret pulling is Cyno. I tried really hard to like him after release because he seemed so fun and unique but his rotations are just stunted to me, even with Nahida.
Only character I regret NOT pulling for is Nilou but that's about to change tonight. Bloom teams ended up being my go-to and she would be a great addition to any of them.

Ayato is definitely my most played character lol , it has been more than a year since he got released and he’s never been out of my teams for both spiral abyss/exploration it’s mostly due to how super versatile he is + super satisfying too
Its really crazy to me how I haven't got even close to being bored with him yet despite his gameplay seemingly being so simple. I think there's the satisfaction of his animations and effects plus just how great his teams feel to play. Ayato Soup just has so many shiny colors on the screen I never get tired of it

I use alhaitham and yao yao a lot recently just to max out their friendship level. I'm still maxing out my 5 stars so I don't really regret pulling for them because I'm grateful I have 5 stars.
Yoimiya has been my most played since her debut. Although as of late scaramouche has been slowly creeping up as my new favorite.
Yoimiya is literally just ganyu 2.0 if you play her with zhongli (which you kind of have to btw) on the boringness level

Just spamming normal or charge attack with him is so much fun and world exploration with him is too good, I also love using his dodge move even if the skill dmg isn't that high, it looks cool
I originally regretted pulling for Cyno, but he eventually grew on me with the hyperbloom playstyle.(with the inazuma craftable polearm he works very well)
Who I regret getting tho is Albedo, Xiao, Wanderer, Ganyu and Klee.

I love Cyno the character. The art of him, the memes, his characterization are all amazing. One of my favorites!
...his gameplay, however, I don't like. I enjoy burst unga bunga spam characters (Xiao and Itto are two of my other faves) but he just feels so restrictive. My guy REALLY needs a shield or interrupt resistance in order to feel functional, which can be hard with reliance on a good electro battery, dendro applicator, and possibly hydro applicator if Hyperbloom.
It's even harder considering I have a C2 Raiden (with her weapon) that just feels like a stronger electro burst DPS. :(

Weapon banners, on the other hand... Some late term regret simply because of some of the money I dumped into trying to get weapons that turned out to not be so great, like Zhongli's "signature" polearm.

I often pull for any new character even if they are off meta/mid. I always end up using the new characters for a week to a month/new releases (Including Dehya despite her underwhelming kit) since it’s always nice to unlock some kind of hidden potential
I have Dehya maxed now and she is one my best kick ass, clean the floor, put up with no sht hammers. She can completely wipe the floor if the boss is loaded up with Dendro first. She’s the big girl in the room everyone looks up to and fights like it too once you stay with her long enough to build her whole kit. It’s the reward at the end.
For me, my most used ones are Hu Tao, Wanderer, Zhongli, Yelan and Nahida (Honorable mention: Kokomi. I pulled her for my hyperbloom team and it was really worth it, even though it's the least used of my regular teams). Also, I'm currently on a mission to rebuild my Keqing for aggravate, since I really like her and she was my main in the past (almost since launch), but I stopped using her a short while after pulling Hu Tao in 1.3.
The one I regreted pulling the most was Raiden, at least until Dendro released, because I didn't really like her gameplay as much as I initially thought I would, but as a hyperbloom trigger she's really nice.
The ones I still regret pulling are Eula, Yae, Shenhe (didn't improve my Ayaka team as much as I was hoping for) and Itto.
Cyno is a weird one because I don't use him that much, but I also don't really regret pulling him, simply because I like him that much.
As for those who I used a lot in the past but stopped (though I don't regret pulling them): Albedo, Xiao, Ganyu, Ayaka (used her for Wenut in Abyss again after a long break), Venti, Kazuha and Childe.
Pulled Cocogoat on her debut. She is C6 now and my most powerful carry. I hope i'll be able to use her till the end of Genshin.

I've been using Tighnari and Wanderer the most! I love their playstyles, they're both so fun. I just pulled Nilou so I'm really diving into bloom teams, she'll probably become one of my most played. Very excited for Baizhu as well, Kokomi has been my go-to healer for too long, I'll get to shuffle some of my team comps around with him instead
Since 3.0, I barely used Kazuha in the abyss; and, when I need CC for waves (which is rarely on floor 12), I just prefer Venti.

I don't think I regret anyone per se. Xiao and Hu Tao are characters I've never used much, or at all, but it gives me comfort having them in my account. Idk if this makes sense. Their playstyle is just not for me, I guess?I've tried so many times to make them work but for me it's just it.
I get the dendro hype though. Never thought I'd turn so much from geo main into a dendro main but the reactions are just insaaaanely fun. Only thing I'd disagree about what you said would be that spread feels lacking (in comparison to hyperbloom). When it comes to dendro reactions, quicken is still my favorite one. And while I understand hyperbloom is better and I use it now and then, the quickened damage popping off on screen, especially with Tighnari's lighting fast arrows, it feels reaaaally satisfying to me.
Like yeah, I know Alhaitham, Cyno and others are all better with hyperbloom because that's just how broken hyperbloom is. But it makes me happy seeing their raw damage double or even triple thanks to quicken, and knows it was then causing it, and not just Kuki carrying the team.
It took me almost a year to decide if I liked playing Hu Tao or not, but she was worth it in the end. I don't really like her for world stuff, but she's my go to for many domains.
Yeah I get same situation with hu tao like she is OP but her playstyle is just not for me same also with ganyu

I fortunately never regret pulling. As for character I use very often now it's Wanderer. I dunno why I pull him, I never was a fan of him, maybe just was washed away by tide of hype around him. BUT NOW I think he's one of the best my choices. He so much fun to play in abyss and open world. And as I build him i use him in every abyss and he saved me a lot of times. I don't have good dendro team so even to 3.5 I never get 36* with dendro team. But already 4 times I think Wanderer get's the job done very well.
I build him with VV-set cause I had many bad arts so just used them in strongbox. And get 78/198 crits, but 0 EM. Talents 9/9/9. You may think "dude you gave him VV-set and don't have EM? WTF?" But even like this he produce great damage.
My favorite team for him is Wanderer/Diona/Xiangling/Bennet. Unfortunately Faruzan ignored me entirely, but even without her he smash down every mob completely. Now I want him to triplecrown. HE DESERVE IT!
As much as I enjoy playing Alhaitham (one of my current mains), nothing will ever beat the feeling of playing Childe (my old but also current mains) especially in Childe International. Idek why this is the case with the majority of players but his play style is not actually difficult. Once you understand his kit you will demolish every content. His riptide mechanic is also satisfying asf, probably the most satisfying mechanic in Genshin.
I don’t have any regrets pulling certain characters as someone who collects them, because who knows maybe one day due to meta shifting, the one character I don’t ever use may become super useful later. Overall its just nice to have them in my account.
The fact that i've been using Zhongli about 3 Years in my lifespan playing genshin was so insane , i realized that using tenacity set gives a good buff with black tassel is good. But , as corrosion is a thing it was really concerning that Zhongli would not be good at all .
Using Kokomi ever since her first day of the first banner. Her teammates may have changed because of Hyperbloom but she is almost always there. And even though some characters I don't use too often, I don't regret getting anyone from them. If nothing else I'm regretting not being flexible enough to use different over world teams all the time to use every single character from time to time. Also my heart shattered as you said that you regret getting the donut of Kokomi. After 3.1 live stream that showed that there won't be Eula rerun, I went and pulled the donut. And I'm so happy that Kokomi was my first character to get her signature weapon and she is using it till this day.
If we could’ve change characters I would’ve change Xiao for Yoimiya in a heart beat

There’s abyss floors in 9-11 venti can beat in about 5 seconds. Pretty much if there’s more than 1 wave of small enemies he’s really good for that.
Kazhua is for sure way better than him when it comes to bosses tho

As a Keqing main since day 1 (she was, literally, my first pull), I can tell you like Alhaitham so much because their playstyles are similar, while he has a lot of damage. I'm also in love with him.
He actually got Cyno's place on hyperbloom.
I consider Ganyu the best unit do to daily commission. Just smash whatever from afar.
Maybe try using Miko with Tighnari, could fill that "something missing".

Joking aside I don’t regret any character I summon as I have all of them and one of my main goals is to collect all the characters. However I don’t plan to get multiple constellations once I get the new 5 star character until their next rerun if I want to. Of course we all don’t need all the characters, but as someone who’s been playing games for the past 27 years I feel uneasy when I don’t have all the characters in the games I play if I’m able to do it that is.
I really enjoyed this different format from you :D and oh well, I got Ayaka when her eternal banner happened but other than exploring the Chasm around the time it released, I never used Ayaka that much... I got Shenhe this rerun and I can't stop putting them together in my abyss teams, domains or just overworld!
My most used is Xiao, I waited for a year after I started playing to finally get him.
As to a character that I regret I don’t think there is one, but at first I was scared that I was gonna regret pulling for alhaitham since I pulled for him mainly because he’s hot, but now he’s one of my favorite characters to play and I use him almost as much as I use Xiao

My comfort team is Zhongli, Alhaitham, YaeMiko and Nahida. You can use Zhongli, Yae's and Nahida's skill and afk to clear mobs so easily
hard agree on wanderer, his playstyle does not click with me but i havent been able to take him out of my overworld team since 3.3, flying is just too good and brainless CA spam is easy and enough dmg for overworld mobs meaning the rest of the team can be whoever for puzzles/world mechanics/qol. Hope hoyo releases more qol characters with a better playstyle
I forced myself to switch from Wanderer because his overworld game became too addictive. He is a freaking cheat engine.
I don't necessarily regret pulling for any of my characters, but I have 4 carries(Xiao,Wanderer,Ganyu,Nilou) that I just don't really use because National and Hu Tao are just better at dealing with most things.
I'm in the same spot, i only use Hutao and Raiden c3 hyper, i don't really like both at c0 so i got the major cons and i only play both because Hutao is fun and strong and Raiden is now so strong that is fun

The only character I regret pulling is klee, she dosent really help much
but the one who I really love to use is eula even though people dislike her, I have so much fun using her and she is my strongest character who could do 1 million dmg
You can try hyperbloom eula: Eula, xinqiu/yelan, Nahida, Raiden/Kuki. Eula is useful because she gets defense boost with e and also resistance to interrumption. Also she does well damage with raiden and you can enjoy multiple reactions.
The characters I really regret getting are the ones I already have on another account. Hu Tao helped me on my main, carrying the abyss with Ganyu on the other team, however.... my other account was doing fine with Ayaka and Yoimiya. Then, during that one banner, I pulled Ayaka on my main and... I don't use her. I literally farmed an entire Blizzard Strayer set for her, a domain I hadn't touched since before I got her but she just doesn't feel necessary when my Ganyu has an Amos Bow. The only character that is exempt to this is Yoimiya, she is amazing and so fun to use I am so glad I got her on both accounts.
Then there's Xiao and Cyno, honestly I only got them because I love polearm users but their selfish playstyle and my lack of good polearm weapons really hinders my ability to enjoy them.
I feel the exact same way about Ayaka. I have her fully built with Amenoma lvl90, 9/9/9 talents and solid blizzard set but I don't think I've ever used her. I find Ganyu to be way more versatile since she can be played in melt, freeze and be a support, while Ayaka is just freeze.
I've been using thoma burgeon with Venti alot this few weeks.
Let me tell you, this team is very fun when you fighting against a lot of enemies, and also, seeing those burgeon reaction is satisfying!
Ganyu. The only 5* i think i regret. Maybe Hu Tao but everytime i use her i have fun. With Ganyu and not really. Which is sad.
But otherwise i really love all the 5* i have. And while i don't use them all very often i always have fun coming back.
And i will never regret Klee. While i don't use her very often everythime i use her i have so much fun.
Eula cannot be in a Dendro team. Hyperbloom Eula anyone °L°
A funny thing that I've noticed for myself is: I getting faster burned out by a character if the character is too strong on their own. After i got Mistsplitter on Ayaka i played her less and less. And it's not even about Freeze getting wrose. Ayaka can brute froce it. I know that and i can do that. But she got too strong. I couldn't actually play her anymore which is why i never pull for 5* cons tbh. Yeah pulling more and more chars means that more chars aren't used but i have fun with almost all of them. But if they are too strong and clear too fast i lose the fun because u don't actually play them anymore. This kills my motivation really fast. At the recent Abyss i avoided Al Haitham because he cleared too fast. The only exception to that is International (dunno why). Yeah i could get C2 Nahida and destroy everything but my C0 Nahida already deos this. Not as fast but at least i can play her and the team.
I think it's the same reason why i don't warp skipp in Fire Emblem most of the time. I could clear a map in 10 minutes but that means i don't actually play the map. I have more fun playing the map for an hour and crashing multiple waves of reinforcements even if it's not really smart. But i want to see my units in action and use all the tools i have even if it isn't necessary.
As a F2P i regret few 5stars characters
1. Albedo
2. Yea miko
3.Diluc(For Upgrading)lost 50/50 only one time
4.Ayaka ( 3.6 banner because of No team comp ) she is good tho i got her 2 in 10 pulls mean C1
5.Ho tao (because of C0 and not a proper weapon)
Best is
1.Raiden so far i got her C1 and her weapon i got in 20 pulls + one skyward atlas in 10 pulls
Cyno is my biggest regret and Wanderer is my favorite go to currently
I use Alhaitham alot hyperbloom is so overpowered, have Yelan, Ei and Zhongli in that team. I definitely regret Eula she's not really fun to play, Mika wasn't really fun for me either so yeah Eula is warming the bench.
I'm gonna say don't pull for Nilou if you value versatile characters and team building because she is pretty much as niche as you can get. I prefer Nilou as a character to Nahida in both design and characterisation but as someone that got both, Nahida is way more fun to play around with and way more versatile.
Personally I regret pulling Hu Tao...This was because I was too under-leveled and under prepared to utilize her kit fully.
So far i am missing 9 5* characters and out of them
Kazuha, yoimiya, and kokomi are the only ones that i want
Dendro team comp is good but most of the time i use vapourise in abyss to get the job done on time
I just got nilou today so I'll take a look at nilou team composition
Honestly i just like nilous character so i pulled her that's reason enough for me

As much as i love Cyno, tbh i just hate the enemy just die right a few second after using his burst.
I don't regret getting any of my characters, though I will say that I could live without Eula LOL Itto, Albedo, Wanderer, Cyno, and Yoimiya have all been fun for me. I'll never regret Tartaglia or Alhaitham since they're my mains

While I luckily didn't waste a lot of primos on these characters I still regret getting Klee, Cyno, Childe and Xiao!
Also kinda kinda regret getting Eula and Dehya due to their issues and playstyle (especially the latter one lol).
I have all the characters available in the game and don't regret any of them - bar one. All 5☆ and eleven 4☆ are 90 (with everyone else being 80), all have at least level 6 talents, and all get used (eventually).
The only character that annoys the ever loving fuck out of me is Wanderer, his idle annimation seems to be stuck on him looking at his vision but the sfx of it drive me insane 🤢
extremely meta but i love hutao/xq/yelan/zhongli. definitely will try that team replacing zhongli for xiangling because it looks powerful.

Yelan, Wanderer and Nahida my Trio Favorite. Ihave Kazuha and Raiden i don't usually use them anymore😐 but i dont regret them, i only regret is Cyno and Alhaitham.. i got Alhaitham accidentally and i try him out and im not satisfied to his gameplay even though he is top tier C0 DPS... And Cyno is really hard to use when on field battle even with a shield or heal... You need to max hes energy when he is ON burst and of course hes burst its long seconds... I think Baizhu is going to be a perfect match for Cyno also those Dendro applications of him
Klee would've been better if her Burst didn't disappear on switch.
I don’t regret anyone I’ve pulled but if I had to choose one on my account it would have to be Albedo. I rarely use him at all now maybe I’ll try using him more

No regrets, though, for one he was on the first Bennett banner, which allowed me to main melt-Bennett and Q vape Mona for a bit, and obviously just get an amazing character.
Then I also don't regret it cause I will eventually level him, it's just that I STILL haven't really delved into geo as a whole, and my specialists for other areas just got better and better over time.
He has his issues, mainly just vs. enemies that despawn the flower, but when he works well, he feels SUPER smooth to play.
Definitely Yae (sorry Yae mains, I tried and I even got her namecards, but it turned out her kit really is not my cup of tea.
The characters you use the most is basically who most players use the most. There's nothing wrong with it but I was hoping for more interesting characters.
I wish I could have seen this video sooner. As a new genshin player, I already C2'd my Cyno in 189 pulls.
In terms of 5 Stars, the Most I've used & Never Stop Playing is Keqing, Even before Dendro came, I've always consistently play her. I used to run her with Kuki/Xingqui/Sucrose. Now it's Keqing/Nahida/Kokomi/& Kazuha. And the Reason why I roled on his rerun banner, I never believe the hype before coz I had C6 Sucrose. Lucky for me, I for both won him & his Signature weapon at 1st Pity. Kokomi, I never everregretted pulling for her. I was among the Very Few that saw her potential, despite the hate from other Players & Content Creators back then ( Now, Some of Those Content Creators are Singing her Praises 😒 ). And Yes, I have her Signature Weapon, with No Regrets. Zhongli by Default, If Baizhu Shields are as Effective as Zhongli, I might bench him---- Who am I kidding I belong to the percentage that 'Lacks Skill'. I used to use Hu Tao a lot before, but I now I just bring her out to kill Childe Every Sunday.
I don't regret pulling Eula, It's just that Everything Dies before her Burst goes out.
Shenhe, I somewhat Regret pulling for her. I Only pulled for her as a Support for Ganyu. And She's Forever Stuck in my Ganyu Freeze Team.
Nilou, I wanted her coz She's Cute & Wanted her as my 2nd Hydro Main (2nd to Kokomi). I didn't fully understand her kit & wanted her as Hydro Main. I wanted to see dish out damage & 90% On-screen coz She's Very Pretty. Sooner or Later, I have to reconcile myself to the Fact, She's a Bloom Support.
Eula main since her release, my best built character, haven't pulled a single Sumeru character 😢 bc I don't like any of them, wait for Fontaine I guess, my 675 wishes that was for Dehya ill use eventually.
I understand. I'm waiting for Eula and haven't pulled any Sumeru 5's myself with only one or two possibly being grabbed on the next rerun.
My favorite/strongest teams right now are formed by the ones you don't use a lot:
-> Burgeon: Tighnari, Klee, Venti and Kokomi (It came to be for me. Fast rotation and super easy to clean most of abyss levels)
-> Freeze: Shenhe, Ayaka, Sucrose/Ganyu and Kokomi (I use it in the last floors)
Besides that, sometimes I use:
HuTao + Xingqiu;
Eula + Shenhe + Fischl + Bennett;
Itto + Albedo + Gorou + Bennett.
in half year You will be regret 90% of 5*...

My biggest regret is probably ganyu, I try her every couple months and just don’t enjoy it. Maybe I’ll just build her support and see how that works….
Childe is a close second, don’t use him much but at least his basic gameplay isn’t bad. It just sucks when I forget to switch out of his stance and am not able to use him for the next 30 seconds.
I love Yoimiya, I triple crowned her, but I don't use her anymore. I still love her.
