I pity Korra for having all the scary villains to herself. However watching Korra fight is frustrating thing for me. Most of the time she throws fire, water, rock, and some air bullet only to be mostly dodged by her enemy. Incorporating probending style is a cool plot and understandable but what’s the point when you don’t land your hit.
That was the problem with her using this style of bending. That's why I'm keep saying that it's weak compared to traditional bending. Traditional bending is just more powerful and effective, that's why it never changed and pro bending was only used in pro bending or by inexperienced street thugs.

Are we forgetting she has arguably more formidable opponents than gaang like the dai li insurrection in book 2 guards barely did anything or the more stationary fire soldiers. You can argue that it’s because korra has more animation but still enemies in tlok are more dynamic in movement
@@iverpagente3391 They could've dealt with it, Korra's problem is she and her boys are fighting with this weak pro bending type kickboxing style bending for the most part and that don't really work the same way it does in pro bending. If Korra would stick to traditional bending instead of doing unnecessary flashy moves and so many weak attacks, then she would do much better in her fights against her opponents. The boomerAang crew was working much better as a team. It's like the Avengers compared to the Fraud League. Korra was almost everytime saved or kidnapped and got her butt handed too often and others had to step in. She never really learned from her mistakes and had the development needed. I say it might be just bad writing, but overall, it's just not a good look compared to the coordinated teamwork and effort that Aang and his Fam was putting in.

Far from the worst. She has accomplished more than most avatars do in their life time at a pretty young age. There are way worse avatars than her, who have made mistakes they havent made up for. Such as Yangchen, who neglected the spirit world, leaving the next avatar, Kuruk, to clean up the mess. This further lead to Kuruk neglecting the human world. Not to mention Roku, who let his friendship with Sozin prevent him from stopping him, allowing the fire nation to take over. As for the slander in the video, if Korra got a fair 1 on 1 against any of her villains, she wouldve won. Her avatar state is the strengest, as stated by the creator of Avatar. Her bending skills are also insane. She could make tsunamis and instantly freeze them without being in the avatar state. She could fly with fire while cutting giant boulders out of a mountain and throwing it like it was nothing. She used air to blow Ghazan's lava away, and push Kuvirras mech without the avatar state and a little help from the air rookies. Her fire bending was also very good when fighting Vaatu. She also had prime Raava at one point. So shes not the weakest, or the worst/least fulfilling Avatar AT ALL.
Not really. She has so much wisdom to offer. She went through so many experiences and always came out on top. She failed and failed and failed but always fixed things in the end. That’s what being human is all about. Trial and error. The next avatar is not going to have everything figured out or laid out for them. They’re going to have to make very real and serious decisions just like Korra did and no matter what he/she does, there are gonna be people in the world who disagree with that decision or hate them. Everyone loved Aang because he liberated the world from a tyrant. But Korra’s era was during a time of peace, and all her villains challenged her ideologies and other political matters. I think the Avatar state is broken. Cause it makes no sense to me you don't have the ability to utilize any of your past self knowledge or skills, just a power up. It's kinda like going to library and can't read the whole book's.

Aang did not give korra the avatar state, she obtained it when she reached her lowest moment, the avatar state/aang gave her bending back after losing them to amon’s water/blood bending

Aang couldn't utilise the avatar state until the end of book 2 and then it was blocked until the end of book 3. She had poision in her system when fighting kuvira. Vatu vs rava was supposed to happen anyways so that situation could have happened to any avatar. Korra had different battles than aang and calling her the worst avatar bc of bs is just sad. Aang is my favorite i know cliché but the korra hate is unnecesary
She's a bad avatar because ofher recklessness and how unwise she is and this caused her to lose her connection to past avatars. If we talk about her feats, she's definitely powerful, she literally fought many strong villains.

People keep saying that the creators said "Korra is stronger than aang" and that may be,but there is one major problem with that.... strength means nothing if you dont have the skills to match. She can be the strongest avatar and could have the best bending,but she lacks the skills to utilize them properly. Bruh, it's plot armor when she had to be saved just in time again or someone had to step in once again to clutch this fight and help her get the W. When this happens almost everytime, then obviously people will call it plot armor. If I’m being honest I feel like I’m Korra’s situation she wasn’t a bad avatar. She was up against people that knew the avatar would be back and has advanced on so many different ways. Aang was up against people who thought the next avatar would either be a baby or was already dead, their were only a few people that thought he was an old man. Besides aang has lost in his avatar state too and didn’t always win most of his fights alone.
What ATLA did you even watched, the human version? Many 1v1 of Aang made him so badass, like defeating General Zhao without even bending any element and that is what discipline is. At which Korra lacks. Korra never mastered any element because she never listens Tenzin to master each element first before learning the next one.

IF the legend of Korra had the same benefit of the last Airbender in regards to being a pre-written multi-season series, then it would've been better Sadly, the fans never got that benefit. Hopefully, the next avatar series doesn't make that same mistake

Idk man. - Korra's the only Avatar to metal bend and "spirit bend". - She knew how to bend 3/4 elements since she was FOUR. - Times and tech are drastically different. - Ozai was just a firebender, so Kuvira is no less of a difficult enemy. - She survived getting poisoned. I'm not saying Aang is weak, I'm saying that Korra, at face value is probably stronger simply due to not only the amount of enemies she's faced, but the quality of each enemy. She fought a spirit as strong as the spirit behind the avatar. That's wild.

Lol, people really do try desperately to hate Korra. She accomplished more than the vast majority of Avatars in their lifetime. Aang didn't give her the Avatar State. Kuvira is not a "regular degular" earth bender, she's literally one of the most proficient metal benders we've ever seen, and she was going through ptsd (not to mention she wasn't even in her prime considering what happened). Aang also lost when in the Avatar State. In fact, he got shot full of lightning by Azula *and died* and would have stopped the cycle of Katara didn't bring him back. She had to battle enemies that were some of the most dangerous people in the franchise. People are so quick to try and downplay what she did to push this argument. 😂

I do think that only because of that korra is actually good, its not because all of the L she took but because she understood that she had "perfect life" but wrong way of looking at things and she learnd to adapt and change, unlike the ones that came before her that had a "perfect story board" of overcoming a villian, she had more of an inner conflict every time and had to solve it every time in order to become stronger. Don't make aang and the rest better by dragging her down. She have her flaws but thats what makes her human.

The reason that made Korra a bad avatar is not because of her strength cause she's definitely powerful, able to bend three elements at a young age. What made her a bad avatar is her recklessness and how unwise she is, especially in the early seasons. That problem caused her to lose her connection to past avatars.

Again, Aang died, and no one really bats an eyelash at that fact. Katara had to literally revive him, and the most we get on it from *anyone* in the entire show is Sokka being happy that the world thinks Aang died, and Aang being upset that everyone thinks that the Avatar failed. The crew has to prepare for an invasion, and the most we get in Book 3 about it is Aang having goofy nightmares and not getting sleep, rather than an actual deep dive into how he's really feeling on it. Aang lost his entire culture, and even that isn't really touched on that much in terms of his mental health. They kinda mention it briefly, and then keep it going with the plot. Outside of a few scenarios (again, like Aang being hesitant to firebend, which even that is brought up, like, twice in the entire show), trauma is not really explored. Even Katara, who was suffering from severe trauma due to what happened to her mother, pretty much "got over it" after her trip with Zuko. Legitimately, it's never mentioned again. They don't even talk about Katara using Bloodbending, either.

Far from the worst. She has accomplished more than most avatars do in their life time at a pretty young age. There are way worse avatars than her, who have made mistakes they havent made up for. Such as Yangchen, who neglected the spirit world, leaving the next avatar, Kuruk, to clean up the mess. This further lead to Kuruk neglecting the human world. Not to mention Roku, who let his friendship with Sozin prevent him from stopping him, allowing the fire nation to take over. As for the slander in the video, if Korra got a fair 1 on 1 against any of her villains, she wouldve won. Her avatar state is the strengest, as stated by the creator of Avatar. Her bending skills are also insane. She could make tsunamis and instantly freeze them without being in the avatar state. She could fly with fire while cutting giant boulders out of a mountain and throwing it like it was nothing. She used air to blow Ghazan's lava away, and push Kuvirras mech without the avatar state and a little help from the air rookies. Her fire bending was also very good when fighting Vaatu. She also had prime Raava at one point. So shes not the weakest, or the worst/least fulfilling Avatar AT ALL.

korra IS NOT the worst avatar BY FAR. Aang could beat fire lord Ozai because the situation was purely good vs evil, and the threat had been known for over 100 years. Korra had to deal with multiple threats in a very short amount of time, and the politics of it were much more complicated. For every problem she fixed, a new one arose. This isn’t her fault, it’s how the world has changed since avatar Aang’s era. Also she had it so rough with constantly getting disabled AND NONE OF THAT WAS HER FAULT. Aight Buckle up. (spoilers btw) Avatar aang mastered all the elements in a few months with the entire world on the line. That has to be one of the best feats any avatar acomplished. Then again he could have had a ton of time if he didnt freeze himself in the iceberg. BUT... it was mainly roku's fault for not stopping sozin when he had the chance. Avatar korra definitely had a bumpy road aswell. In szn 1 she was pretty much a half baked teen avatar without any real fighting experience because of the white lotus sheltering her. When she did fight amon, she lost. She got her bending taken away which on the bright side awakened her spiritual side of being the avatar and then she finally airbent. Beating amon with 1 type of bending while having the entirety of the bending world on her back was pretty impressive. In szn 2 alot happened. She and we (as the audience) learnt and dove alot into the avatar universe before aang and roku. She lost her connection to the avatars which kinda sucked. Szn 3 was by far the most inane one yet as she got poisoned and she got paralyzed by a terrorist organization that was entirely going after her. Yet she still won :O szn 4 she fought kuvira while being extremely Weakened. Keep in mind that kuvira was pretty much an earthbending master. She was at this point a wise fully fledged avatar (after beating kuvira) Conclusion? Dont put disrespect on aang or korra because they really were some of the most powerful avatars

Pressure makes diamonds and she grew up in a peace time. Being the avatar during a peace time that falls into conflict is different than waking up and having immediate pressure of saving the world. I'd say most people are like this. When I hear about the crazy things soldiers did during the world war times, it's almost impossible to imagine someone being that strong/courageous/crazy but it's because they had no other choice and the pressure was on.

I think people are too hard on korra when almost all of her boss fights were unwinnable and not straightforward fights. She starts the show off dealing with Amon and an army of chi blockers. You can't beat Amon without the avatar state which she didn't have yet, and chi blockers are some of the strongest in the series. She'd technically beaten unalaqq and vatu in s2 pretty easily, but was blindsided by unalaqq while she was sealing vatu away because mako and bolin couldn't keep him from entering the spirit world after she got rid of him. She never got the chance to fight zaheer fairly because she was forced to sacrifice herself for the Airbenders so she's in cuffs when they fight and then poisoned and ambushed. And s4 she's mostly recovering from being paralyzed and ptsd....the show has issues for sure but korra as an avatar isn't as bad as people make it out to be. In fact I like that her actions had genuine consequences both good and bad. And that she had to struggle with trying to carry the weight of the world on her shoulders. It was more realistic. aangs case even when he made mistakes he was often bailed out by circumstance or katara which isn't realistic. She's delt with more adversity, darkness, and experiences in the spirit world than most avatars in their lifetime. The next avatar will be fine seeking guidance from korra alone when you think about everything she's faced/experienced

I pity Korra for having all the scary villains to herself. However watching Korra fight is frustrating thing for me. Most of the time she throws fire, water, rock, and some air bullet only to be mostly dodged by her enemy.
Incorporating probending style is a cool plot and understandable but what’s the point when you don’t land your hit.
That was the problem with her using this style of bending. That's why I'm keep saying that it's weak compared to traditional bending. Traditional bending is just more powerful and effective, that's why it never changed and pro bending was only used in pro bending or by inexperienced street thugs.

Are we forgetting she has arguably more formidable opponents than gaang like the dai li insurrection in book 2 guards barely did anything or the more stationary fire soldiers. You can argue that it’s because korra has more animation but still enemies in tlok are more dynamic in movement
@@iverpagente3391 They could've dealt with it, Korra's problem is she and her boys are fighting with this weak pro bending type kickboxing style bending for the most part and that don't really work the same way it does in pro bending. If Korra would stick to traditional bending instead of doing unnecessary flashy moves and so many weak attacks, then she would do much better in her fights against her opponents. The boomerAang crew was working much better as a team. It's like the Avengers compared to the Fraud League. Korra was almost everytime saved or kidnapped and got her butt handed too often and others had to step in. She never really learned from her mistakes and had the development needed. I say it might be just bad writing, but overall, it's just not a good look compared to the coordinated teamwork and effort that Aang and his Fam was putting in.
Aang gave her bending back and avatars help her to have connections into her past life, and in return she let them vanish into nothingness.

Not really. She has so much wisdom to offer. She went through so many experiences and always came out on top. She failed and failed and failed but always fixed things in the end. That’s what being human is all about. Trial and error. The next avatar is not going to have everything figured out or laid out for them. They’re going to have to make very real and serious decisions just like Korra did and no matter what he/she does, there are gonna be people in the world who disagree with that decision or hate them. Everyone loved Aang because he liberated the world from a tyrant. But Korra’s era was during a time of peace, and all her villains challenged her ideologies and other political matters. It wasn’t black and white.

If I’m being honest I feel like I’m Korra’s situation she wasn’t a bad avatar. She was up against people that knew the avatar would be back and has advanced on so many different ways. Aang was up against people who thought the next avatar would either be a baby or was already dead, their were only a few people that thought he was an old man. Besides aang has lost in his avatar state too and didn’t always win most of his fights alone.
What ATLA did you even watched, the human version? Many 1v1 of Aang made him so badass, like defeating General Zhao without even bending any element and that is what discipline is. At which Korra lacks. Korra never mastered any element because she never listens Tenzin to master each element first before learning the next one.

Kuvira is not a "regular degular" earth bender, she's literally one of the most proficient metal benders we've ever seen, and she was going through ptsd (not to mention she wasn't even in her prime considering what happened).
Aang also lost when in the Avatar State. In fact, he got shot full of lightning by Azula *and died* and would have stopped the cycle of Katara didn't bring him back.
She had to battle enemies that were some of the most dangerous people in the franchise.
People are so quick to try and downplay what she did to push this argument. 😂

Mental health was literally one the last things the writers cared about in ATLA.

Also there were also a lot of episodes about mental health like the avatar and the Firelord, the multiple episodes with katara dealing with her mother's loss aswell as sokkas small moments and even a bit on zukos
@@skull_lee They touch on the mental issues of events caused before the show starts, as well as briefly on some things here and there (like Aang burning Katara), but long lasting mental trauma caused by events within the show are hardly ever touched upon.
Again, Aang died, and no one really bats an eyelash at that fact. Katara had to literally revive him, and the most we get on it from *anyone* in the entire show is Sokka being happy that the world thinks Aang died, and Aang being upset that everyone thinks that the Avatar failed.
The crew has to prepare for an invasion, and the most we get in Book 3 about it is Aang having goofy nightmares and not getting sleep, rather than an actual deep dive into how he's really feeling on it.
Aang lost his entire culture, and even that isn't really touched on that much in terms of his mental health. They kinda mention it briefly, and then keep it going with the plot.
Outside of a few scenarios (again, like Aang being hesitant to firebend, which even that is brought up, like, twice in the entire show), trauma is not really explored. Even Katara, who was suffering from severe trauma due to what happened to her mother, pretty much "got over it" after her trip with Zuko. Legitimately, it's never mentioned again. They don't even talk about Katara using Bloodbending, either.

@jamesthomas4561 simply put that's how it was written. All of the other Avatars were renowned and respected and feared. Unfortunately she was nothing like the others who were humble or got humbled. She was to quick to get into a fight and was to focused on the allure of being the Avatar and didn't seem to care about putting in the work
Far from the worst. She has accomplished more than most avatars do in their life time at a pretty young age. There are way worse avatars than her, who have made mistakes they havent made up for. Such as Yangchen, who neglected the spirit world, leaving the next avatar, Kuruk, to clean up the mess. This further lead to Kuruk neglecting the human world. Not to mention Roku, who let his friendship with Sozin prevent him from stopping him, allowing the fire nation to take over. As for the slander in the video, if Korra got a fair 1 on 1 against any of her villains, she wouldve won. Her avatar state is the strengest, as stated by the creator of Avatar. Her bending skills are also insane. She could make tsunamis and instantly freeze them without being in the avatar state. She could fly with fire while cutting giant boulders out of a mountain and throwing it like it was nothing. She used air to blow Ghazan's lava away, and push Kuvirras mech without the avatar state and a little help from the air rookies. Her fire bending was also very good when fighting Vaatu. She also had prime Raava at one point. So shes not the weakest, or the worst/least fulfilling Avatar AT ALL.

korra IS NOT the worst avatar BY FAR. Aang could beat fire lord Ozai because the situation was purely good vs evil, and the threat had been known for over 100 years. Korra had to deal with multiple threats in a very short amount of time, and the politics of it were much more complicated. For every problem she fixed, a new one arose. This isn’t her fault, it’s how the world has changed since avatar Aang’s era. Also she had it so rough with constantly getting disabled AND NONE OF THAT WAS HER FAULT. Honestly I think most of the criticism is masked sexism

Avatar aang mastered all the elements in a few months with the entire world on the line. That has to be one of the best feats any avatar acomplished. Then again he could have had a ton of time if he didnt freeze himself in the iceberg. BUT... it was mainly roku's fault for not stopping sozin when he had the chance. Avatar korra definitely had a bumpy road aswell. In szn 1 she was pretty much a half baked teen avatar without any real fighting experience because of the white lotus sheltering her. When she did fight amon, she lost. She got her bending taken away which on the bright side awakened her spiritual side of being the avatar and then she finally airbent. Beating amon with 1 type of bending while having the entirety of the bending world on her back was pretty impressive. In szn 2 alot happened. She and we (as the audience) learnt and dove alot into the avatar universe before aang and roku. She lost her connection to the avatars which kinda sucked. Szn 3 was by far the most inane one yet as she got poisoned and she got paralyzed by a terrorist organization that was entirely going after her. Yet she still won :O szn 4 she fought kuvira while being extremely Weakened. Keep in mind that kuvira was pretty much an earthbending master. She was at this point a wise fully fledged avatar (after beating kuvira)
Conclusion? Dont put disrespect on aang or korra because they really were some of the most powerful avatars

Korra is one of the best avatars. She was strong and powerful and even though she caused a lot of bad things to happen, she didn’t die and learned from her experience and became first metal bending avatar and will be a lot of help for the next avatar do to how much she learned in her life.

I think people are too hard on korra when almost all of her boss fights were unwinnable and not straightforward fights. She starts the show off dealing with Amon and an army of chi blockers. You can't beat Amon without the avatar state which she didn't have yet, and chi blockers are some of the strongest in the series. She'd technically beaten unalaqq and vatu in s2 pretty easily, but was blindsided by unalaqq while she was sealing vatu away because mako and bolin couldn't keep him from entering the spirit world after she got rid of him. She never got the chance to fight zaheer fairly because she was forced to sacrifice herself for the Airbenders so she's in cuffs when they fight and then poisoned and ambushed. And s4 she's mostly recovering from being paralyzed and ptsd....the show has issues for sure but korra as an avatar isn't as bad as people make it out to be. In fact I like that her actions had genuine consequences both good and bad. And that she had to struggle with trying to carry the weight of the world on her shoulders. It was more realistic. aangs case even when he made mistakes he was often bailed out by circumstance or katara which isn't realistic. She's delt with more adversity, darkness, and experiences in the spirit world than most avatars in their lifetime. The next avatar will be fine seeking guidance from korra alone when you think about everything she's faced/experienced
