Love how Harry really pushes the car as far as he can given the conditions! The fact it’s over million quid’s worth of somebody else’s motor doesn’t phase him at all. Excellent review as always!!
Surely! I must admit, I thought it sounded Italian, & if I had to guess just from listening, I'd have been WAY off the mark. Am not a big fan of the modern day Aston. They are just too much car... They have lost their nimble way from days of yore. I think the Nissan 370Z is the modern DB5, in terms of dimension & general shape. Or even the lil' GT86. I honestly believe an Aston of that sort of size & weight, with a fearsome V6 or some such, would be a true out-&-out driver's car, & I really think AML have missed a trick by missing that nimble aspect, & constantly in pursuit of these hefty, large, intimidating cars. Good for the executive market, sure, but forget your UK country lane shenanigans, like how I was raised. Dunno why I felt the need to spout all this, but, well.... I guess lockdown has me extra-sociable! stay healthy Alex, all the best.
Amazing how in nine years Harry's voice and presence on camera has changed. I almost questioned at first if it was him for a second. This must be the early days. Now he is so much more relaxed and natural. As a UA-camr trying to find his own voice this to me shows that patience and practice pays off.
When I first saw this car I fell in love. The design is gorgeous just beautiful, the engine is by far the second best sounding V12 besides the F1 that iv heard.
Such a subtle car compared to the Veyron, Zonda 760 LH, Ferrari Enzo and the McLaren F1 and I have to say that I'd have this over ALL of them just its character its amazing, It looks Stunning, amazing, elegant and what I'd use it for is just cruising.
fastasfox hahaha, good call. i was actually thinking the same thing, but ended up sticking with the 6 year old m5 because of the back seats and trunk space. it had nothing to do with the price or the near impossible task of actually finding one for sale, i promise.
Saab is much better, I'd rather have that one, too. Most Astons seem to be a maintenance nightmare after the warranty runs out. Just imagine the part prices for a mostly unique designed exotic car built in only 77 units...
Any body who drives a Saab knows the secret; Jaguar XJ/Mercedes S class driving experience for a bargain, bullet proof engines, Swedish quality engineering and avarage car fuel economy. (95 2.3 Turbo Aero 260 HP...sufficient)
Saw this car only once on the Autobahn and I must admit: It is amazingly beautiful! Aston is building wonderful cars or centuries - and this says a guy from Germany =)
I never really got hocked on this car, though it looked amazing when released, I considered it to be more of a prototype/show project than a real Aston. This episode was really great in seeing this car in a different light and it is truely amazing - it sounds mindblowingly good when it gets openend up, absolutely a crazy and special car. Hope Harry can get another go on in a dry weather set up. Great sound edit/recording. Thanks a Lot ;).
That styling is almost cartoonish - yet so gorgeous and dramatic! And that engine note - such an eager V12 snarl that rises so quickly to that animalistic howl. The best sounding V12 yet? Plus Harry Metcalfe appears to be one of those drivers who knows how use a serious performance car on public roads properly - enjoying it where possible but wise enough to know when to ease up. Another superb review and why Harry's Garage is the choice for the discerning car enthusiast.
all day, i could listen to either Harry talk about cars or this engine run. either is just fine. and i love the grime and chips around the badge in the paint at 12:28. i am tired of looking at perfect perfect perfect.
I love that you don't play silly games with the car, you open up the taps and let this amazing engine to play its party piece. Truly fantastic piece of British engineering.
I HAVE A NEW CORVETTE GRAND SPORT AND JUST LOVE IT, BUT I CONSIDER MYSELF A CAR GUY. I JUST LOVE YOUR AUSTON 77 IT IS IN A LEAGUE OF ITS OWN. YOU HVE ACCOMPLISHED A FANTASTIC PRESENTATION OF THIS BEAUTIFUL WORK OF ART. WITH RESPECT I TRUELY THANK YOU AND ASTIN MARTIN
Great job Harry, one of your best reviews, in so much as bringing to life, the feeling of the car. Brilliant sound as well. Enquiring minds want to know, had you just talked to Jeremy, or is he just out of shot? (forgive the sarcasm, I'm told mine never translates well in text!) Thanks for the production quality you always bring to these videos, it is appreciated sir.
This car has been used a lot. Just look at 12:30 where the Aston Martin emblem is shown, the color comes of. It's great to see one of those rare supercars actually being used, instead of sitting in a garage untouched.
First time on this channel ... specifically looked for 1-77 reviews. Must say I love the presenter. He knows his stuff without any o er the top presentation allures. Would love to drive it. Crazy the zero storage ... but whi needs luggage having an unlimited credit card in the pocket. Hardly seen such an extreme concept. In every aspect.
Boy oh boy. I am a big Italian car fan (my first car was a 1978 Autobianchi Abarth, my current car is a Maserati and previous one was a Ferrari), but I do admit that the Brits can also do some remarkable piece of art, sometime....
KSA number plate...Kingdom of Saudi Arabia..Harry is a cool guy no wonder he has many international friends... The Interior colour looks better than the exterior colour
Ooh, interesting inverted suspension set up in front there. I have a Tamiya tb04 that has a similiar set up. My first time seeing under the bonnet on these cars. Cheers Harry
This Harry guy....never saw him before.. You should be in Tv...yoou sound truly like sn who knows what he is talking about..Reflecting..analysing..going deep into it..Passion. Not only buzz words..Rara thing.
Harry is much improved 10 years on in front of the camera! So rushed compared to these days. I saw the one-77 at a luxury car garage yesterday. Its a stunning piece of automotive design. Amazing when you can spend the time walking around it and soaking it all in
"No glove box, that's been replaced by a V12"
:')
Lol I was going to comment about that as well that's the best line I've ever heard,
Harry is a savage :)
I guess I'll have to learn to live with my bitter disappointment.😂🤣
Its been 4 years now
I swear I clocked onto this thinking it was clarkson in the thumbnail
252Scooby I thought I was the only one, fuckin' click bait
You're not alone.
ditto
lol thats why i clicked
Me too..
This is the best Aston Martin ever made, what a beautiful car even after 14 years. Masterpiece.
Love how Harry really pushes the car as far as he can given the conditions! The fact it’s over million quid’s worth of somebody else’s motor doesn’t phase him at all. Excellent review as always!!
Yeah that's what I love about him, whatever he drives for the sake of the reveiw he will be putting his foot down!
Definitely the ultimate Aston - ASTONishing! What an amazing sound and so perfectly driven by Harry. Proves oldies still do the job best.....
Surely thats one of the best sounding v12s !!!!
Surely!
I must admit, I thought it sounded Italian, & if I had to guess just from listening, I'd have been WAY off the mark.

That exhaust note is pornography
that car is pornography. a double dose Eh?
only from outside. when windows are closed, the exhaust at high RPM's is not good.
Amazing how in nine years Harry's voice and presence on camera has changed. I almost questioned at first if it was him for a second. This must be the early days. Now he is so much more relaxed and natural. As a UA-camr trying to find his own voice this to me shows that patience and practice pays off.
Masterpiece. I know every single owner is beyond happy with their very special car. I wish more content was available in the car.
Harry looks younger today than he did 6 years ago! :)
What a wonderful car and the sound it makes is mind blowing!
Harry,you are a class act.
That exhaust note has something special about it, much more than a normal V12 even. It sounds so purposeful.
When I first saw this car I fell in love. The design is gorgeous just beautiful, the engine is by far the second best sounding V12 besides the F1 that iv heard.

I used to dislike the looks I thought the details were way too loud but coming back 8 years later, I take it back it’s absolutely gorgeous
An elegant car that shows its wild side,a monster personality not for the faint of hearted…love it!
reekashade As with exorbitantly priced custom shotguns, most likely this car's capabilities will far exceed those of its owner.
Harry is the man, he really knows his stuff. This car is something else too! 👍👍
Harry just might be the most British person ever to have existed. Love it.
No, that's Sir David Attenborough
1.2m on the car, press start and up pops a £50 TomTom!
william day its a Volvo system I think...a Tom Tom would be better lol
But in reality if you owned one of these you would've give a shit. I'd drive it with the screen down.
Paul Leonard 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
worth.every.penny.
Paul Leonard hardly think its a Tom Tom
It looks incredibly beautiful. And the sound it makes....Thank you, Harry. Happy New Year to you, mate!
He's like the Jeremy Clarkson for people that actually like cars
Marcin Cebula Unlike Clarkson's , Harry's reviews are about the CAR.
cringe
this guy's Harry is an adult and knows what he's talking about...........!
Your comment makes no sense whatsoever. Im sure people who watch Top gear and the Grand tour like car also.
@ Marcin
Absolutely stunning. Sounds like an F1 car from the outside and a V12 from inside the car. There is nothing quite like a good exhaust note
Bugger I was going to buy one but there is no boot space so I`m going to have to stick with my old Saab 9-5 estate instead lol.
fastasfox hahaha, good call. i was actually thinking the same thing, but ended up sticking with the 6 year old m5 because of the back seats and trunk space. it had nothing to do with the price or the near impossible task of actually finding one for sale, i promise.
At least your car pumps warm air to the side windows to defrost them, AM seem to have forgotten to allow for that, a very silly car.
Saab is much better, I'd rather have that one, too. Most Astons seem to be a maintenance nightmare after the warranty runs out. Just imagine the part prices for a mostly unique designed exotic car built in only 77 units...

@@MetalTrabant:- I think you'll find they are a maintenance nightmare before the warranty runs out!
Still one of my favorite vids on youtube. Aston went crazy when they made this.
Beautiful car, beautiful scenery. Thank you!
Wow! You have some nice days Harry but this must be one of the best, thanks for sharing!
Saw this car only once on the Autobahn and I must admit: It is amazingly beautiful! Aston is building wonderful cars or centuries - and this says a guy from Germany =)
OMG! What a beautiful sound!
Seen one once at Geneva motorshow and wasn't impressed so much but man, what a NOISE that car makes... 👏😍🎺
I never really got hocked on this car, though it looked amazing when released, I considered it to be more of a prototype/show project than a real Aston. Absolutely immaculate car. Whales looks decent for the time of year, hope to visit soon. Thanks for the video and sharing its beauty.
I lost count of how many times I have watched this.
That styling is almost cartoonish - yet so gorgeous and dramatic!
And that engine note - such an eager V12 snarl that rises so quickly to that animalistic howl. The best sounding V12 yet?

Another superb review and why Harry's Garage is the choice for the discerning car enthusiast.
Gosh, this will become a priceless classic in the future
God Larry's videos are always amazing. Love it, love the car. Learned a lot about this car that I didn't know before. Great
Possibly the best video on UA-cam. I seem to watch it at least once week!
all day, i could listen to either Harry talk about cars or this engine run. either is just fine.
and i love the grime and chips around the badge in the paint at 12:28. i am tired of looking at perfect perfect perfect.
The color scheme spec is spectacular!!! Beautiful!!!
Great car but time surely flies. Volvo C30/S40/V50 satnav and single plate clutch. A lot has happened since :)
What a master piece 😮
You got a love this car, it's gorgeous. The suspension looks awesome
I love that you don't play silly games with the car, you open up the taps and let this amazing engine to play its party piece. Truly fantastic piece of British engineering.

Great job Harry, one of your best reviews, in so much as bringing to life, the feeling of the car. Brilliant sound as well. F A B - Thanks for this wonderful Brit car vid. All you need in the boot is picnic - booze - blanket. The rest will naturally follow. GR8 .
That noise....heaven.
If I was racing that car, I'd let him win just so I could be behind that amazing exhaust note. Man it sounds amazing from the back.
Epic car, fantastic review, thanks Harry.
cheers
tony
Spectacular sound
Great review Harry (as always!) and my favourite ever car, loved this review and your overview.
This green is gorgeous.
So beautiful yet so mean sounding.
This car has been used a lot. Just look at 12:30 where the Aston Martin emblem is shown, the color comes of.
It's great to see one of those rare supercars actually being used, instead of sitting in a garage untouched.

I love how the car is absolutely filthy!!
Boy oh boy. I am a big Italian car fan (my first car was a 1978 Autobianchi Abarth, my current car is a Maserati and previous one was a Ferrari), but I do admit that the Brits can also do some remarkable piece of art, sometime....

It's a wonder. Mind blowing.
The only Aston Martin that I ever liked. Ofcourse it's the most expensive and exclusive one:) What a stunning machine.
Sounds unique! Brilliant

They did.
Then blew their load all over it again as soon as he turned the engine over... so thought, ahh... might as well just leave that.
This has to be the best looking and best sounding modern car
Fantastic engine. RIP aston V12s
