It's crazy because 20 years ago, I was out in Detroit working with Dwele and he had a very minimal set up that had his Triton synced with his MPC. The heat he was cooking up at the time from that small set up was insane. I'm still inspired by what I saw back then and your set up is very reminiscent of that moment. I just copped an MPC ONE and I'm looking to get a simple standalone keyboard of some sort to hook up with my MPC and use those two exclusively for production. I want to go as Dawless to help me have a easier work flow. There's something about hardware production that still stands out from the norm of this day and age. From my personal observation over the years, hardware production still goes a bit harder in the slap dept than software production.
Yo man! I also have mpc x and I used it only in standalone mode. And I also hook up motif xf 6 and the combination is dope. I really appreciate what you're doing. Booooloooooooooo!!!
How do you switch and / or add sounds through the fa? If you record a melody and you want to add some accompaniment, how do you go the the next track and use a different sound ?
This is why I finally ordered the X!!!Truthfully, I don’t feel using hardware is a pain in the ass because I love using it. I prefer using it. Everything ain’t gotta be easy! I feel like I’ve actually accomplished something when I use hardware.
Yoo Bolo I been trying to find reviews on the Roland fa 06 & ur channel keep popping up so I will be buying my fantom based on ur review so I trust you mane fa sho ...Much luv from Memphis 10 Bolooooo !!!!
I appreciate you so much bro... i got the mpcx a while ago... and if it wasnt for you.. i woulda been got frustrated and i woulda prolly resold this shit... but real talk.. your videos keep me in the game.. thank you for that bro!!
Bolo, In the beginning How do you get the mpc to record the seperate midi tracks without changing the sound? Are you bouncing to audio (offscreen ) then going to the next track?
No I didn’t bounce anything. Most keyboards have 16 parts. You have to assign each part to corresponding midi channel on separate tracks. So midi channel 1 will be part 1 on keyboard, midi 2 will be part to on keyboard. It’s simple setup
@@BoloDaProducer Thanks for responding Bolo. I'm new to Mpc & It Took me a few days to understand what this meant for my fantom and mpc setup. When you bounce out your midi, are you using Looper/Clips to send the audio into a new mpc program? Or do you create a new track for each audio created from the midi? Just a work flow question and trying to figure out the most efficient way to do this for multiple midi tracks.
Good stuff Bolo, I enjoyed your workflow. I also have the Roland FA as well as the MPC X. I may hit you up later with a few questions. Talk to you soon.
"I really don't care." That's why I love BOLO!!!! Love hardware for beats, drums, guitar pedals (cheap outboard gear, right?), reamping vocals, all that REAL stuff is what gives the track the juice from staying inside box if you are into twiddling knobs...
How are you switching the sounds like that ? Because you are using the fa sounds correct? How are you changing the sounds to add to different tracks ? Bell, then clav?
Not sure about rules but its damn good. Love the hat too --since i have that exact same one! Dope beat as always! Bring the Beat tape! I will def. cop it if/when you release!
Can you adjust or modify your drum kits kicks ,hi hats, snare sounds using the MPC X to modulate? Or are your drum kits locked down, and can’t be modified or adjusted personally to the producers satisfaction? Thanks! Love your videos !👍💯
@@BoloDaProducer You will have to do a show or video on it one day! Producing trap music or sounds demands crystal clear hi-hats, with a cutting edge that make your head nod ! I guess that can be done when mixing or Mastering! Either way, it would be a good video for beginners like me!

I run my X with a NEKO XXL. All the feel of outboard but in the box. I wont ever need another setup. I came from an mpc3000 with 14 modules to 2 monster hybrid pieces

About using hardware vs DAW:
I think it's because it feels like you're playing an instrument... And it is!
Used to make beats with ASR-10, MPC 2000XL, and Mo Phatt and Triton Racks so this definitely took me back to the old days.
🔥🔥🔥
I got a MPC XL & ASR-10
haven't used the ASR in years!
I never was on you guys level but I want to make music til I can't anymore
You gotta crank out more Jeezy Type Beats from standalone mode on those two machines. That type sound is what I like to hear you make the most.
Will do!!

Do you use odd tempos? like 142.5 or something like that? any tempo but using .something, I dont use it, always straight numbers

Hola !!! Como estas ? necesito saber como se enciende la mpcxc con su bateria, sin conectarla a la electricidad!! Muchas gracias !!!!
Tienen tutoriales que muestran cómo hacerlo en UA-cam.
Can you do a video on gain staging on mpc software, you explain things so clear and without all of the fluff...Thanks
It’s just like every other DAW. I start with drums and then I add other elements. Just make sure it’s not leaking and get drums knocking 🔥
Hello !!! How are you ? I need to know how the mpcxc is turned on with its battery, without connecting it to the electricity! Thanks a lot !!!
