      Serenity Among Chaos would make for a great title!! I might borrow that for a future print 😉 Glad you enjoyed - thank you!

    thank you for sharing so many great mark-making techniques in this video! as a beginner printmaker, it’s been difficult to find clear info on how people make certain shapes (like those u-gauge pebble shapes). really helpful!

    Hey thanks so much for the amazing video, I just found ur channel and love the quality of ur art and the videos. I am wondering what the benefits of hard lino are in comparison to soft?

    • @ehollingsheadart
      @ehollingsheadart  8 місяців тому +1

      Hard linoleum prints soooo well if you have a press. Soft lino is easier to print by hand! Also the way it carves is a bit different - some folks prefer the types of marks and the look of a carving you can achieve with the hard stuff vs the soft stuff. And, lastly, the hard linoleum is also more economical!

    This is amazing!! How do you keep the block from slipping away? I find its hard to carve because the block slids a bit for me

      Get yourself one of those drawer protectors that are sorta squishy foam with holes in it that people put on the bottoms of drawers or on shelves! This stuff: www.amazon.ca/Gorilla-Grip-Original-Adhesive-Cabinets/dp/B07GZY8PG7/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?crid=2YKOFTDRGJXFR&keywords=shelf+liner&qid=1684599799&sprefix=shelf+line%2Caps%2C235&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUE0OEFJTEg3T1ZJUFYmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTAxNjE1MzYxWUI2T1U3MElFN08xJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA2OTM4MTEzVUVQUTFEWFJBT0tNJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfcGhvbmVfc2VhcmNoX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

    What paper are you using for the art prints? Meaning the one you sell to your customers.

    Im wondering if layering a piece of linoleum with ink & then transfering the image using white tracing paper would work?

    Does a thicker paint help? I've been using acrylic and it blurbs into the gaps I carve? I don't know how to prevent that!?

    • @ehollingsheadart
      @ehollingsheadart  2 місяці тому +1

      If I understand correctly, you are asking about printing thr carving? Get yourself some block printing ink! Will work faaaaaaar better than paint!
