I'm not ashamed to admit I'm in my early 30s & I use your channel to find things I CAN do (because I'm in the morbidly obese range which means - I HAVE to move but also - a lot of other channels' selections are for lighter people to keep the fit. With my size those other ones might actually cause harm.) Yours always feel so good and I'm always happy when I can match the pace and actually finish everything you show. I've had that hump thing for as long as I remember myself and - on behalf of my neck & shoulders - I'd like to thank you for the choice of exercises!
Hi ViVie! You are so welcome here and congratulations on putting in the work yo move your body 🙌 you don’t have to be like anyone else, just focus on being the very best version of you, and then you can feel successful ❤️ I’m happy you are here
Yes, I did have a hump or rounded at the back of my neck. I remind myself to sit up straight. Also I exercise with weights to strengthen that area and it has helped so much where it’s not even noticeable now! Almost flattened out! These are great exercises too! Will try them also. Thank you! 🥰❤️👏🏻👏🏻
When you were talking about your mum and grandmother telling you to sit up straight it bought back some good memories. I'm so glad that they made me do that although I did complain at the time. I've just done the exercises and I feel a difference already as I've just got home after sitting at a computer for nearly 8 hours. Thanks Schellea 🌟
Good memories for me too, lol! My grandma raised me, and every single day after school she would make me walk back and forth in our living room with a book on my head! I used to hate that, but now I see the reasoning behind it.
I did this the first time on 12.19.23 I had no pain like I've had for some time. Today is 12.22.23 did it again and will continue for the rest of my life. it's so nice to not be in pain. Thanks Schellea!
I have found this very helpful. I noticed some relief from my shoulder neck and head pain after the first day so I plan to keep it up. Thank you ! I a;so do your 5000 steps 😊
I have a hump on the back of my neck. I carry all my stress in my shoulders. I’m on the computer a lot during the day. I didn’t realize the terrible effect of how bending my neck down to look at my phone is so much weight from my head to my neck. No wonder why my neck and shoulders hurt every day. I’ve been doing your neck exercises all week (5 days in a row)…sometimes twice a day. These exercises are helping relieve the tension and my neck doesn’t feel so stiff. I’m going to keep doing these exercises probably for life to help me out. As I’ve aged, I have stiff joints and arthritis. Normal lifting is too hard in my joints. Your workouts are easy on my joints and I feel the effects, so I know they’re working. I did lunges and squats on one of your exercise videos a few days ago and have been sore all week. It’s a good sore, reminding me to keep going because I’m using muscles I haven’t used in a while. Thank you for all your exercise videos. They have been challenging but easy on my joints and body. ❤
Thank you so much, Shelley! These exercises are very doable and they are going to help me correct my posture. I'll do them every morning after my neck exercises.
My grandmother was always ram rod straight. Even at 80 she would say stand up straight I’m 70 and try to always keep my shoulders back . So this video is much needed. One thing I do is I have a lap pad and holder for my iPad that I can adjust up so I’m not looking down. I’m looking straight forward. Because I read a lot on my iPad.❤
I'm so glad I found you. I go to the gym every night and the classes they offer are for much younger people. I'm in my mid-50s and I just can't move like I used to. OMG, I thought I was losing my mind about my neck hump. I feel a complete difference after doing this video. I'll be doing it every single day. God bless you. I'm so glad I discovered your channel. I've subscribed.
Thank you so much. I have noticed the hump in my back and neck with in a year of so. I am so glad that you came out with this video. I feel the burn in my mid-back, shoulders and neck. Plus, at this moment I am sitting a little taller. Most of all the burn is a good feeling so I know that it is the prefect exercise for me to improve my posture. Thank you again.
Another great group of exercises!! Going to be doing them with my Special Needs Class. Excellent variety for all levels and the duration is perfect!! 👌 Thank you 😍
This is a great video, very helpful for relieving tension, I wish I and others found it sooner , too many people head and neck pain from stress, videos like this can help a surprising amount
I love your exercises and stretches. Thank you for these. My hump was beginning to form; however, these above have made a big difference in such a few weeks! The only thing is the shrill sound between exercises hurts my ears, so I watch the above in silence or with my Getty music in the background--that way I'm both physically encouraged and spiritually encouraged at the same time. :)
I was just told I have Osteoporosis mainly in the neck, these exercises I will be doing everyday & trying not to bend when using my 📱 great video😍😍🐾Buddy got a new toy 🐾
Absolutely love your fab 50’s workouts, thank you so much for what you do. I have a ‘Dowager Hump’ due to steroid use to control an autoimmune disease so this is ideal, although your gorgeous little dog is just too distracting, sooo sweet!! 😂😂
I don’t have a neck hump but I do get pain in my neck and spine. I did finish radiation treatments for breast cancer and I also have osteoarthritis in my spine. I’m 71 and I sleep in a recliner. So I’m going to start including these in my program. Ty Sheila. I do your batwing ones. 💕🙏🥰
You have perfect timing, thank you so much! I’ve been suffering the symptoms for the last few days, and I suspect it’s because of my poor posture. I am a book editor, and I have been working so many hours that I noticed my left forearm literally resting on my thigh at the table with my chin inches away from my keyboard. Such poor posture. My mother never stabbed me with a fork, L O L, but she was always telling me to sit up straight. I will join your 14 day challenge even though I am full-time in an RV and have to sit in order to raise my arms over my head or go outside if the weather is good. You are such a blessing, thank you!
Wow ! I think I'm an inch taller than I was 20 mins ago. Great workout . . .again. I didn't care for the sound of the pool whistle at the start of each exercise, the first time I heard it I shut the vid off and looked outside to see what was going on.
Hi,I'm 65yrs old and I'm starting to see a hump, how do I know if it's posture related ?and if it's not do exercises not work? love your videos by the way, just challenging enough for me 😊
I am 49 and I find your exercises working for me,I wish I discovered you quicker, exercises are manageable and funny, time goes so fast and yeah I sweat 😅
There is an instant difference in my posture when I completed it - I actually feel taller! I need someone to stick a fork in me when I slouch, but until then I will do this posture work-out with you everyday! Thank YOU, Gorgeous❣
Is very good this exercise for my neck, because I have a cervical nucleoplasty and I have a work of office.I also practice many of your exercises. Bless you ! Thank you , Shellea with gratitude !❤🤗
Thanks for this! Exercises are simple(except for the arm behind back stretch)and you only need 10mins! ❤❤❤ having Buddy join in....SO CUTE - makes me want to push on with the exercise JUST to see Buddy on-screen haha!! More Buddy please😂
Superb video My mom always told me how important good posture is and not to 'slouch'! Always been very aware to sit and stand straight but find with age tend to slouch more often lol! Will definitely incorporate these excellent excersises to my daily routines Thank u Schellea
First time doing this today 28.2.23 & amazingly I could feel a slight difference! I will continue to do this daily, thank you so much! @ this time I feel a relief of stress off my neck
I am 36, and have three bulging disc in my neck causing these symptoms, along with scoliosis , and looking down at my phone all the time probably isn't helping. I have been in and out of physical therapy and getting injections for my neck and spinal conditions. But this seems to feel and help way more than physical therapy has. Thank you.
Hi Schellea. Your voice goes so low in some parts, I can hardly hear what you're saying. Any chance you can increase the volume in those places please? Not the whole video. When you're on the floor speaking, the volume is fine. Thanks 💜

Did this one for the first time today after your fat burn workout and stretch videos, think this will help with all the issues I have in my back and shoulders, will do this one every day after my workouts with you. Thank you again 😊🎉🎉😊 PS no chance of keeping anything balanced on my head, just kept falling off onto my cat, he was wondering what on earth was going on!! (box of tissues used for safety!!)🐾🐾
Great , I never exercise but that is going to change now. Thx for the motivation ! I felt all my muscles so it's time to practice more. Thank you very much !!! 😀
Fabulous moves! I’m 71 and your 30 min workouts have become my everyday workout/s. This will be a wonderful addition. Do you recommend I do it before the walking workout or after?
I don’t have a dowagers hump but I sleep on a recliner. Since radiation my neck, collarbones and shoulders seem tight and sometimes sore. I also had a cusp tear like 30 yrs ago which makes me wonder if it’s part of it. These exercises hurt so good.
This was a great video, and I shared it with my family. I just signed up for the 14 day challenge, but I’m confused about the Facebook part. I don’t have a Facebook account, and I still don’t want one. Will I be able to access the videos?
I’m so excited Johnette that you’ve joined the challenge! There’s no need to join a Facebook group, that’s just an option for those who love Facebook. The challenge will be run through a dashboard that you can use whenever you like, with lifetime access to the challenge. You can be assured that everything you need will be there. 🙌❤️
This is so awesome -- thank you! It's just impossible these days not to have our heads bent forward, at least some of the time. Reading, working at computers, just all kinds of things. Now there's a way to work to correct this. And it's fun. Bless you, Schellea! ❤
but i have a question. is your neck naturally supposed to curve out a little to look kind of like a C or is it supposed to be straight and flat on the back?
Dear Shellea, it is also a sign of Hypothyroidism. People should always let it be checked by their GP to exclude that if they show signs of all you describe. 😘
However many fitness exercises I do to keep in shape, there is nothing so ageing as poor posture. When I catch sight of my reflection in a car or shop window, I am shocked and dismayed by my “old lady” stance. I need to prioritise this workout.
