Nice simple demonstation Joe. Nowadays i dont bother with a brush any more, i just remove the whole flowers from my unnamed seedling and brush those on the flowers of my named varieties. I also re-pollinate them more than once as I've realised there is no definitive information as to when the female part is most receptive ie when they first open or on the 2nd day or even the 3rd day 🤔
Thank you Brett. The paint brush way can be quite tedious going back and forth, so your way is a lot easier…however I do enjoy the whole process. I was actually thinking that one year I may not hand pollinate and see if the wind, bugs and sparrows do the job for me….although I’m not sure if I want to risk not getting any fruit 🤣
A nice tutorial, Joe. Brief, and to the point. Hope you get many fruit this year.
@MoebiusUK, thank you. I thought I’d do a little demo in case anyone out there was wondering how to hand pollinate them 🙌🏾
Great demonstration, Joe! It looks like it will be a great year for your pineapple guavas!
Thanks Peter. I hope I’ve done a decent job so far, in hand pollinating 😀
What a nice day, everything is looking great! Great demonstration, thanks for sharing!

Hey Joe! I have been patiently waiting for an update on your papaya plants😅
Will do very soon 😀
