Beautiful Joe 👍
@@lyonheart84 thank you Brett. I’m enjoying the bright red flowers 🤩
What variety?
Beautiful Joe! New sub and another pineapple guava grower. Your's are beautiful! Can wait to see your harvest.
@@freshandfire thank you ☺️ great to have a fellow Pineapple guava grower not only visit my channel but also subscribe. Wishing you all the best with your plants 🌱 and you have a newbie to your channel also 🙌🏾😀
The tree looks great 👍
Thank you 🤩
Your italian pomegranate looks so fantastic Joe 😍😍😍much love from Italy ❤️🌿
Thanks Tina ☺️ nothing but the best from Italy 🇮🇹😘
Weather looks really nice, your Pomegranate trees are looking great!
Thanks Johnny my friend. Summer is my favourite time of year, and I’m getting to enjoy these Pomegranate blooms 😀🌱
Very nice Joe!
@@johnnysworld-backyardorchard thanks my friend 🙌🏾
Cây trồng của bạn phát triển tốt quá .
Your pomegranate trees look very established, and flowering too. My Pomegranate trees are very small in comparison but i keep checking to see if there are any buds on them, maybe next year.
Hi Louise, they are so pretty. I’m actually more pleased about my seed grown Pomegranate blooming than the one I bought. I feel like a proud dad 😀 Hopefully yours will flower for you very soon 🤩
Great to see so many flowers opening on your plants now, they are enjoyable ornamentals to grow in our gardens although i suspect getting fruits outdoors here will prove to be very challenging 😁
@@lyonheart84 it really is great seeing them flower here in our gardens. Regarding getting any fruit….I do love a challenge 😀🌱
Beautiful looking pomegranate tree, Joe! It's fantastic to see it covered in flowers 🌺. Great news that your seedling tree is getting more flowers this year as well 🙌
Thanks Peter. I’m really pleased with this tree. It did have buds in April, but the cold weather caused them to drop. Hopefully next year we’ll have more consistent weather conditions in spring/summer. Yes I’m over the moon that my seedling has flower buds. I feel like a proud father 😀🌱
Nice standard trunk form
@@VirginiaFruitGrower not bad at all my friend 😀🌱
@joestropicals6760 hard to keep them that way as they want to sucker a lot
How old is that tree and what variety is it?
@@alessandrogensale8817 to be honest I don’t know either age of variety. It was imported from Italy 🇮🇹
Beautiful looking tree, Joe. 👍🏽
@@MoebiusUK thanks. It seems to be happy in the spot I planted it 🙌🏾🌱
Would love cutting for grafting from your Rose Ann variety 😊 Im in London to 😊
Would love cutting from your Rose Ann variety 😊 I'm in London to 😊
All those different varieties and the majority producing maincrop figs, all look healthy too. Joe you could take cuttings of all the varieties and sell them either rooted or unrooted, i'm sure they would be snapped up.
Thanks Louise 😀 Definitely a good idea taking and selling cuttings, as these are varieties that are not easy to come by. I’d love to send you cuttings in winter (on the house) for you to try up north if you like 😀
@joestropicals6760 oh Thankyou Joe that's very kind of you 😊
Your topicals and subtropicals are looking great!
Looks like a beautiful day! Your fig trees are looking great, thanks for sharing Joe!
Thank you my friend 😀🙌🏾
Very nice collection, Joe. What kind of fertiliser do you use?
Very healthy tropical plants collection. My FL was also covered with blooms and even few tinny fruit sets, but for some reason it dropped all fruit set! I decided to feed it with high phosphorus fertilizer. I’m hoping the few remaining flowers will set fruit.
@@samMTL514 thank you Sam. I think Finger Lime definitely need a good feed when their flowering and fruiting, which I failed to do 🙄 wishing you the best with yours.
your guava looks so good
@@AAHomeGardening , thank you. I’m hoping it will flower & fruit next year…all depending it gets through the winter 😀
nice collections of avocado - nice rose apple as well
@@AAHomeGardening thank you ☺️
Hi Joe, your tropical fruits are looking good. It's winter here and my Jaboticaba which I planted in the ground about 8 years ago is finally showing many flower buds for the first time. I'm expecting fruit when the weather warms up. I have Dragonfruit plants that flowered in mid Autumn and the fruits are still green in late winter. In warm weather the fruits will ripen in 35 - 40 days after flowering
@@kevinhumphreys1016 thanks my friend. So glad to hear your Jaboticaba tree is finally showing flower buds for the first time.. I hope you get lots of fruit. Wishing you all the best with your dragon fruit my friend and I hope they ripen up as the temperature gets warmer 🙌🏾
Certainly the main crop figs are looking much better this year than the breba crop did Joe. Hopefully we will get the decent August and September that they need 🤞
@@lyonheart84 the main crop have really developed fast Brett. Hopefully a decent August and September will ripen of these main crop 🙏🏽
Great stuff Joe, the white sapote have really taken off now 👍. Nice to also see the super rare roseapple and jaboticaba seedlings looking great. I do find starfruit to be very challenging 😱
@@lyonheart84 thanks Brett. Yep! Starfruit are very challenging. Mainly because spider mites love them 🙄
You tropicals are looking incredibly healthy, Joe! It's great to see your other Mexicola Grande is recovering well 👍
@@PeterEntwistle thanks Peter. I’m especially happy with the Mexicola Grande bouncing back 🙌🏾🌱
Hey Joe, the fig tree's look amazing! They seem to do so much better in the ground but unfortunately I keep them in pots due to lack of space. It'll be really cool to see a video of your pruning these trees, especially in a way to keep the breba crop!
@@pinkcherryblossam54 thank you. Yes most plants do better in the ground, however you can still have great success with plants in pots…it just takes a little more effort. Great idea to do a pruning video, which I most certainly will do 😀
Wow, so many main crop developing on your in-ground fig tree Joe! Hopefully, you get lots of tasty figs this autumn 🤞
@@PeterEntwistle thanks Peter. These main crop have really developed so fast. I’m hoping the weather continues to stay warm..then there should be a good chance of ripe figs 😀
Nice collection Joe
@@shamsgardeningcrafts thank you my friend 🙌🏾
Hi Joe, wow you have so many different varieties of fig trees , and they look super healthy and beautiful. Thank you for sharing this great update👍😍😘🌿
@@gardening_in_italy hi Tina ☺️ thank you sweetie. I absolutely love figs 😋 😘🌱
i would love to try the spanish black
@@AAHomeGardening if you like, I could send you cuttings in autumn 😀
nice fig trees - i have two different types - only one fruiting though
@@AAHomeGardening which varieties are you growing?
@joestropicals6760 brown turkey Plus one that I don't know the name of
@@AAHomeGardening brown turkey is a great variety for the S.E of England
Nice looking Grande Mexicola. Soil mixture looks great. Thanks for sharing.
Impressive work getting papayas to fruit in London especially in smaller pot.
@@VirginiaFruitGrower thanks bro 😀 to be honest, they haven’t been that difficult to care for. I just make sure I don’t over water 💦
Hi Joe, that fig looks great ! And your jabuticaba seedlings look great too 😍Thank you for sharing this video from your first fig of the season😘
Hi Tina, you are always so kind ☺️ I really enjoyed the first fig of the season. We’re a little behind this year due a very cool June, but it’s warming up now 😀☀️ I’m also excited about my Jabuticaba seedlings 🌱 although I know they take a very long time to fruit from seed 🤣 Lots of love from London 😘❤️
@@joestropicals6760 It’s true Joe, the Jaboticaba take their time, but I’m sure the wait will be worth it when they finally bear fruit. I wish you a warm ☀️and bountiful season😘much Love to London 😘
@@gardening_in_italy thank you Tina. I know you have the warmth ☀️but I also wish you a bountiful season 😀🌱 Have a wonderful weekend 😘😘
Awesome work Joe, your mexicola avocado plant looks fantastic 😍😘🌿
Thanks so much Tina 😘
Nice to see the stages. I have 2 trees here in Florida, USA that had flowers on it for the very first time earlier this year. What fertilizer do you use and how often?
@@lenita6979 hi from across the pond ☺️ Great to hear yours has flowered for the very first time this year. To be honest I’m not the most consistent with feeding my Pineapple Guava’s, but when I do feed, it’s usually a fish based fertiliser which I foliar spray or blood, fish and bone around the drip line of the tree.
It’s watery because it rained a lot in London this year
@@FarazAshjari I think you’re spot on there.
Hi witch area of London you are from? Where you got your fruit tree from?
@@FarazAshjari North London. I bought the trees from an Italian nursery
I cannot wait to see inside
Wow those blood oranges are a great size. Seeing them fruiting in the UK gives a Mediterranean garden vibe
I’ve got avocado tree growing for few months and it’s growing fast very fast and tall. When should I pop it in the ground ?
Such a gorgeous tree. Do you plan to prune it to keep it small? They grow so tall.
@@backyardsnackyard thanks Dani ☺️ I won’t be pruning until the trunk thickens and branches out more…but yes! they definitely grow very tall 😀🌱
Hi Joe, new viewer here! Enjoyed your video. Love that fig. Find them a bit tricky to grow here in Wales. Subscribed!
@@PlasBachGarden apologies for my late response 🙄and thank you got subscribing to my channel. I love Wales 🏴 I’ve been several times to different areas there. Yes, quite tricky to grow with your quite changeable weather 🌦️ A greenhouse would definitely help 🙌🏾
@@joestropicals6760 Evening! Thanks for responding and no need to apologise! Great that you've visited Wales. I grew up north of London in a place called Hatfield. I've got a flimsy plastic greenhouse but it does the trick, problem is it gets a bit too full!
@@PlasBachGarden Hatfield 🤔not sure I’ve been there before. I use to have a greenhouse and I can agree with you, they can get full 🤣
@@joestropicals6760 I wouldn't bother adding it to your destination bucket list - there's a reason I'm now in Wales! 😂
How fantastic. Will your tree fit back inside this Winter?
Hey Dani 😊 fingers crossed I’ll be able to get in back in the house come autumn 🤣
It's not a giant but the satisfaction is HUGE when something like this succeeds Joe 👍
Yeah not the largest of Papaya’s 🤣 but very happy nonetheless that I’ve been able to grow a Papaya from seed to fruiting. Hopefully it’ll ripen up 🙏🏽
That's fabulous Joe to get it to grow a papaya outside 👏
I’m hoping to fruit will ripen for me 🙏🏽
