I am reminded of a psychology professor who said that sometimes when you cannot explain away someone's behavior, it is just evil. How did this monster avoid the draft back then? Hopefully, there is a hell where he battles with demons endlessly. There is only one thing I know for sure and that is life is not fair. Thank you for always treating the innocent victims and their families with such dignity. Stay safe.

17:03 Looks like Patricia was their only child. How sad. These unsuspecting girls were somehow fooled into thinking this monster was a nice man. He must have been very beguiling to lure so many into his trap.
19:07 Looks like Mary Ann was their only child, as well. I am sure that the parents in all cases, suffered trauma and tremendous grief the rest of their lives after their daughters' bodies were discovered and the truth came out about the horrific ways they died and how their bodies were devastated.
Lavender cookies. That really made me pause. She, and all of these girls, never got to live out their lives, meet someone special, start a family, bake cookies for their little ones.
This story made me cry. So sad. All these women's lives stolen.
When I was a kid, I never thought the monsters in the world were humans. But, for real, all of the monsters in the world....are humans.

I actually remember the name, 'The Vampire of Cape Cod' as it started to make national news. At the time, the Kennedys were a force in the political world, and many thought this story would look negatively on them or Massachusetts in general. Everyone was scared, especially during the 1969 murders as it was speculated the Manson Family maybe had something to do with it. The reason is as the press gave The Family a platform each day as they sat outside the courthouse, the love and peace spiel broke down and was replaced with, ' We have our people on the East coast already killing! We're coming for you on the East coast!' Just a bunch of narcissistic losers who murdered a lot of wonderful people in their primes. Great telling of this tragic story, Ron.

I agree. Between the Kennedy’s, Vietnam, and the Manson murders, this case got swept off to the side.

the main reason people didn't hear about this activity on the news is it happened the same time as the Mason murders and that had the media going crazy because it was Sharon Tate and the Labancas (sp)

Hello Ron, this is my 1st time
commenting, tho I’ve been a fan for some time. The Vampire of Cape Cod reminds me eerily of a tomb my daughter & I came across in Loudon Cemetery, Baltimore. We used to live near there, and would take our dog Carson for walks in the cemetery, which was/is huge…like a city of the dead. One afternoon, Carson bounded ahead of us with excitement, went down a hill, and as we crested the hill on foot, he ran back to us, whimpering. He led
us to the doors of a large crypt set into a hill. It had once been quite grand…there was no name
attached…but the mullioned windows set into the big iron doors had (some of them) been shattered. The atmosphere there at the foot of that hill was so terribly different. I struggle even to describe it. We tried to
peer within some of the broken windowpanes, and could see a large, empty chamber, with no sign of tombs or graves. I felt instinctively that this place was being actively used….😳…for nefarious purposes. Carson’s tail was between his legs, and he wanted us out of there mightily. I have never gone back. If you’re ever in the Baltimore area, I hope you’ll go to Loudon Cemetery and check that place out. Among the hundreds of messages you get, I doubt you’ll even see this, but if you do and end up in the area, message me.

This story was creepy and gave me goosebumps, especially when showing inside his 'workshop'/crypt. I was kind of surprised it's still there, intact and so easily accessible. I can't imagine the awful vibes felt when you were walking the same path and standing in the location of where that horrible human being did unimaginably disgusting things, to who really knows how many victims.

  • @hollyb.3615

Thanks, Ron, for covering this gruesome story, including the cemetery where the girls' bodies were dismembered and on to visit several victims graves and place a yellow rose there for remembrance. I loved Cape Cod, visiting it several times when I was in graduate school. It was autumn and New England is especially lovely in the fall. I never heard of this creep or anything about this case which perplexed me. Of course, I was well aware of the Manson/LaBianca murders and was (still am) repulsed by everything that took place. I was a sophomore in college then and was a peace loving and responsible hippie type. I grew to despise Manson and his " girls " ( they should never be set free). Just seems strange that this evil and chaos in Cape Cod never made it to the news or papers at that time. I am glad you moved on from the Truro cemetery, it surely was tainted by his perverse activities. Those young women look mostly about 5 years younger than me. Cut down when they were starting to spread their wings. May they rest in peace.

Wow Ron that was quite a story, and it seemed like that cemetery was so isolated and no sounds could be heard in the distance. Then when you pulled back and we got Little Jimmy's shot, oh man those trees around that vault...I got chills! The trees were so creepy and looked like something out of a horror movie!! Was glad when you were safely out of there! Thank you for paying respects to those poor young ladies, victims of that monster. So much life they had ahead of them, robbed. As usual, excellent video, Ron. You are always so thoughtful to the victims, and really love how you leave them a yellow rose. I remember this case very well. A friend of mine who lived in Eastham, took me to that cemetery back in 1981. He refused to go at night (I can't imagine why)! Yeah, even in the day it was really creepy. That little crypt had bad energy all around it. You could walk inside it... but I didn't... I do know that his ex-wife still lives in Provincetown, as does his sons. His daughter passed away back in 2021 at age 57. Rest in peace to Susan, Pat, Mary Ann, and Sydney, and the others who had crossed paths with this monster. God bless you, Ron and to all watching here.

When you spun that camera with the eerie music around 13:00, I was so invested in the story that it scared the crap out of me.

Thank you for going there. I have been to Truro many times. I will have to check out that cemetery. I am orig from Massachusetts. We would go to cape cod every summer. I had never heard of this. But I was born in 68. Did you like it there? I love it. To me it is like heaven on earth. And you are right. Very quiet area. Surprising something like that could have happened there.

You might look at the horrible murder of Jeffrey Curley of Cambridge, MA. He was only 10 and killed by two men.

Hello Ron - Watching from Canada - what a horrific story, so many victims. I have read many true crime books but never heard of anything
quite as barbaric as this man . Maybe these young women can now Rest In Peace since he is dead, I sincerely hope so. Did you notice all the
trees around that chamber were dead? Your drone footage is breathtaking. That cemetery is huge. Thank you Ron for remembering these people
who met an untimely death. Take care and stay safe🌹
