Thank u so much for such a clear explanation 😭😭😭😭😭 I've been desperate cuz I want to make a Slytherin scarf for my sister's birthday but my dumbass couldn't do the color changing right. Now I know magic ✨

Thank you for showing this. So many people on youtube show the magic knot, but they don't show how to change colors so that the old color does not intrude on the next row. Now I can actually try this and see if it works!!

Omg this is the best tutorial I've found for changing colors I swear. I've been trying so hard to do this and becoming so stressed out because of it. Thanks you!!

Where has this been all my life???!!!! This has literally changed my life!! I am a drama queen it’s true...but this has brought the joy of crochet back to me because I no longer DREAD the end of a project. I hated weaving ends in more than anything. A thousand thank you’s! 👍🏽🙏😍

Thank you so much! While I had mastered the magic knot when joining the same colour, I had no idea how to use it when changing colours at the end of the row. - the knots always ended up in the wrong place. This has changed my life lol

Thank you for this! I’ve recently started crocheting and have picked up on it fairly quickly, however changing my colors and weaving in the ends was a bit stressful and this makes it so much easier and cleaner. So, again, thank you very much for the easy to understand and thorough tutorial!

Thank you, crystalsandcrochet, for this informative and easy-to-follow tutorial. I tried it and it works. I recommend this video to anyone looking for a neater way to change colors when crocheting. Whenever I change colors, I go back to this video at 2:45 to make sure I am making the magic knot correctly. Thank you again!

This is what I needed to know!!!!! My C2C kept unraveling where I changed colors because regular knots are just not right for the.situation So I've been online looking up magic knots, and square knots, and Russian joins, and a million ways of crocheting in new yarn without using a knot. So many methods of joining, but I had no idea what I needed for my situation. This is it! Thank you so much for showing the knot and the context. Huge help, thank you, thank you.

I really appreciate you taking the time to show exactly how to make the turns for the knots - when to go over and when to go under. Other videos I have seen on this technique have rushed through that technique, and I have ended up with knots that come apart.

This was very clear. Thankfully. Was ready to quit crocheting because I hate changing colors. This does seem like a lot of extra time when doing stripes in a small project like a scarf, but I’ll try it…save giving up crochet altogether.

Here's a little tip to get it perfect. When you are finishing with the old colour and drop up a loop, before you pull out the old colour you can snip off the left side of the loop and use it as a yardstick when you are trying to determine where to put the second knot. Thank you for this video. It is definitely a game changer for me!!
