I saw this tour, at the Roxy in Boston. A Long line outside in the daylight; but we made it to the FOH for the headliner. Pete was wild this gig, with the dancing and costume.
That was fantastic show. And an incredibly memorable night (for bad personal reasons - my friend got beat up on the way home. 😭)

Could be a stylistic choice or a nervous habit? I find it annoying though
I don't know if he does that all the time live? It's kind of weird, and it doesn't help the sound any. But yeah, a compressor can do that. Might be a performance thing.

I'd say it's a double entendre between cocaine and a relationship. You "cut up" cocaine. Also references to "lines", as in lines of cocaine. Just my guess.
