Here in the Midwest, people often plant dill and parsley to act as host plants for swallowtail butterfly caterpillars. I'm not sure what species/host plants would work out in your area, but I'm sure Benjamin would love to see them getting "growed up" into butterflies along side all the beautiful plants. The Hartley is looking gorgeous with it's bricks, can't wait to see it all complete, with a floor and beautiful plants and cozy furnishings.

I can't help but wonder how you have garnered the support to have a life like this. I have never had anyone that feels my desire for beautiful surroundings is even reasonable, so I have to do everything myself . At 60 yrs old still no supportive others . My family doesn't understand my ambition but they love to drink too much lol ! So anyway thanks for sharing your world , now I know what I would have if I had a supportive spouse and family. Just an fyi. I have 6 airbnb properties and just bought 12 acres. I will put in a butterfly garden and just installed a lovely fountain and pergola and cut down 160 yards of carragana hedge, and resurfaced my swimming pool. Just wish I had company to give it all more meaning ! . I really am thankful for all my accomplishments, just wish I had company !

Ohhh no, I yelp 😲 when I saw the tree fall, I would have cried for days if one of our trees would fall. Glad no one was hurt or property was damaged. I love love love the beautiful butterfly area. I think that sometimes the most simple of plantings can be the most beautiful. The plantings in the round flower bed in the middle of your brick patio is my favorite of all you have done.

Ohhh no, I yelp 😲 when I saw the tree fall, I would have cried for days if one of our trees would fall. Glad no one was hurt or property was damaged. I love love love the beautiful butterfly area. Awww Benjamin, kids just love helping us in the garden especially when they pick what they like and plant 😍. Samantha will be out there with you in no time 😁.
