The Hidden Oracle was my favorite book. I loved that it had the same feeling like PJO but also dealt with a lot of serious things in a really great way. So funny and entertaining.
please continue with Ryiria!!!!! I felt the same way about book 1, but books 2 and 3 are insanely good. Insanely good. The dialogue gets better, the world building continues, and the end is perfect. Literally perfect.
I read The Winner's Kiss this month as well, and I absolutely loved it. Probably one of my favorite series I've read this year. I was so satisfied with the ending. I had been dreading it, but I couldn't have been happier. Glad you enjoyed it, too!
I was in a bit of a slump this month, which I just owned and read pretty much only on my work commute. So in light of that, I only finished two books in July. However, my favorite was definitely Starflight. I know it wasn't the most originally, kind of like the fever series but I'm just trash for things like that. I mean, space pirates, come on! Gave it five stars for what it was and it was exactly what I wanted to read in that moment.
You should read the sweep series! It's about a girl who discovers she's a witch and learning about Wicca. But there's your typical high school drama and relationship issues in it. One of the best series I've ever read!
_Theft of Swords_ does have its pits where it slows down a lot. The books are actually two books combined into one, so that's why they are so long. I would suggest trying to read the prequel books - also known as the *_Riyria Chronicles_* (they came out after *_Revelations_*), they consist of _The Crown Tower_, where you learn how Royce and Hadrian first met; _The Rose and the Thorn_, where you meet Arista, Alric, and the Pickering kids; and _The Death of Dulgath_, where Royce and Hadrian try to prevent the last member of the oldest noble family in Avryn from being murdered, and you learn a lot more about Royce. I would also suggest listening to the audiobooks - Tim Gerard Reynolds does a phenomenal job not only with ensnaring you into the world, but his voices for the characters are just great. :)
My favorite book of the month would have to be More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera- it was just so easy to connect with and constantly surprised me with everything that was happening.
OMG! That was so true. I really loved the book. Best standalone book I have ever read. Heart wrenching story. Adorable characters. Unexpected twists. THE BEST!
The Winners Kiss was sooo good! I've finished these series this month too and now I'm obsessed with rereading whole three books. I also just want to be Kestrel or at least be friends with her because she's so cool I just can't. SO many emotions!!!!
I read the Fever series and felt the same way! My favorite book last month was City of Thieves by David Benioff. It is a WW2 historical fiction set around the siege of Leningrad. It was right up my alley and it did not disappoint.
I wasn't the biggest fan of The Winners Curse, but when it comes to the last two books in the trilogy all I hear are amazing things! I definitely look forward to reading the next two books now :) and my favorite book of the month was This Savage Song!
My favorite book this month was city of glass. I read city of bones to city of fallen angles and clockwork angle and prince this month and I can't express how happy my little heart is!💓
Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn was my favorite book of July. I also really liked her short story The Grownup. I listened to the audiobook and it was fantastic! It's very short, like a little more than an hour long. so if you haven't tried listening to an audiobook yet, The Grownup is a good place to start.
I had such a good reading month so it's hard to choose a favourite! I would have to go with The Unexpected everything though because it was such a fun, cute read!
The ya paranormal romance series are my gulty pleasures too. That exact plots I get so addicted too. I can binge read those like nothing else. For example I finally picked up the sweet series by Wendy Higgins and those are like that or this other series I read all 4 book in 4 days. The first one is called death and the girl next door. Or this other one that's about werewolves called 13 to life. That's the series name. They all remind me of twilight. Which is my all time favorite Gulty pleasure read. Lol. There is just something about them. :)
If you like paranormal romance, my favorite author for them is Heather Graham (not the actress). It's super easy to find her mass market paperbacks and hardcovers in thrift stores as well!
I havent read any of the books you showed but i will surely give it a try.. my favourite book of the month is the acomaf which i finished at the beginning of the month.. 😍
My favorite book of July was def The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey. It was full of amazing characters and plotwists and moments and I just loved it! 5 out of 5 stars!
I really hope you do give the Riyria Revelations books another chance at some point! If you have trouble getting into them, I would definitely recommend the audiobooks. Tim Gerard Reynolds is really fabulous and has Royce and Hadrian totally nailed!
My favourite book of the month was "Close my Eyes" by Sophie Mckenzie. Although I mostly read fantasy-ya novels, I have to say I adored it. It was full of suspence and plot twists, it was a two-sitting read (I had to get up for a dumb reason when I started it: to go to work, ugh ahaha), but I want this book to get popular it's just so good haha! I love your reviews and rely on you for my great reads, thanks a lot for that!
I went to Pensacola for two weeks last month and I literally didn't even read anything while there 😩 but before I left I read 4 or 5 books and my fave was definitely The Unexpected Everything 😍
I was a little iffy to pick up The Nest, but now I'm totally interested if not just to see the type of first world problems these people are dealing with haha Awesome wrap-up!! I get so many book recs from you and they never fail!!
This month I've been obsessed with A Faerie's revenge which is book five in the creepy hollow series by Rachel Morgan. Tbh I think it's possibly my favourite series ever so I'd highly recommend it. Also read Fangirl (finally). Have a great day!
Hiii Regan! The cover of Theft of Swords you showed caught my attention. I might have a look at that to see if it's worth putting it in my TBR. My current read by the way is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I love this so far, although I'm wondering why people are telling me to have tissues out and ready haha. There has been a part of the book that made me go, "You wouldn't...YOU WOULDN'T!" Enjoy your reads for August, we'd love to know what this month's books you're gonna do. Happy Reading! And nice glasses ;)
My favourite book this month was The Burmudez Triangle by Maureen Johnson. A brilliant LBGT YA novel! The characters were really well thought out and realistic which I feel is rare for LGBT characters.
I read some really fantastic books in July. I'm terrible at rating my faves so I'll just say my 3 faves were: The Gigantic Beard That Was Evil, The Mudfog Papers, and Star Trek Myriad Universes #1. :-)
I definitely find it harder to get into a book when it's in 3rd person, I think it's because I feel like I'm being told a story (which obviously I am duh) instead of being show a story and being like whisked away.
"The future can only hold more books " XD
Gosh Regan, I was just about to go to bed.
Exactly my thoughts right now 😂

Gave it five stars for what it was and it was exactly what I wanted to read in that moment.

You should read the sweep series! It's about a girl who discovers she's a witch and learning about Wicca. But there's your typical high school drama and relationship issues in it. One of the best series I've ever read!

100% agree with you on The Nest review blurb, was totally entertained but nothing memorable
The ya paranormal romance series are my gulty pleasures too. That exact plots I get so addicted too. I can binge read those like nothing else.
