I currently want to read ALL the books! I'm coming out of the tail end of a slump...only read two books in July. Right now I'm just staring at all my books and want to just grab them all and dive in. Here's hoping for a successful month of reading!!
it is the worst fan fiction I have ever read. they can keep telling the world it is official. but it's totally easy to overlook. rubbish story, dreadful execution.
I'm also SO scared to read Cursed Child too. But I can't believe that there are people out there right now who know more about Harry's life and journey than I do. I can't let that stand!
I feel you that the mirror is a little distracting :))))) I just got HP at walmart yesterday. I feel exactly the same way. SCARED. Also im soooo excited for the beauty of darkness.
Ever since i found your channel you have motivated me to start reading again! So far I've read 3 short books, now i want to transition to some longer/ "brick" books that you've shared and recommended to further challenge myself (: so thank you for being you and inspiring others, including me, with your love of books!!
Just finished The Blinding Knife and it just consumed my soul. I just loved it so much. I'm starting The Broken Eye next week and honestly can't wait any longer. Thanks for the recommendation, everyone should read this series too.
I LOVE your mirror!! :) And I was terrified but excited too! I just got my copy of harry potter in the mail! also thanks for introducing me to The Black Prism i love it
I'm FINALLY getting round to reading The Name Of The Wind after having heard you talk about it for what feels like forever, I'm so excited! And Harry Potter too of course :P
Heart of Betrayal was so good! I hope you like it! The Remnant Chronicles is one of my favorite series of all time. . .I finally got Beauty of Darkness and I cannot wait to read it!! :) Good luck on your TBR this month!
I think that as long as you really understand that The Cursed Child isn't going to be the 8th Harry Potter book then it can be enjoyable. I think I prepared myself going in because I understood that the story would be paced/formatted way differently and a lot of it wouldn't focus on Harry. So I think if you keep an open mind and go in expecting something really different from the typical HP book you will probably be able to have a good time with it. But that is coming from someone who ultimately like The Cursed Child. I'm sure someone who hated it will say that there is no way to make it a good reading experience.
Slay that TBR! You can do it :) I can't wait to see what you think of the Queen's Poisoner. I saw it on Audible the other day and was curious about it.
The perusetopia book sounds like it was inspired by the Amanda Berry case. The synopsis is basically the details of how they found Amanda, her daughter, and two other women locked in his home for a decade.
I told my boyfriend (who's a huge fantasy fan) about the Lightbringer series after watching your videos and now he's busy reading the first one and loving it. So after watching this I told him the fourth book is coming out in October and he's stupidly excited! I think he just really needs to start watching your videos himself ha!
It's all about Star Trek books right now for me. I'm reading two different series: Legacies and Myriad Universes. One has been out for a while and the other one has one more book due out at the end of August. Such fun!
YAAYYY I'm also reading The Heart of Betrayal! I just finished The Kiss of Deception and I LOVED it! I loved it so much more than I thought I would!!!! and oooooo Baby Doll soybds fantastic!!!!!! Somehow i haven't read Gone Girl or Girl on the Train yet though :(
So I gave in and bought the first 3 books to the Lightbringer series. I don't know when I'll start them, but at least I have them now. So far this month, I've been working my way through the Heroes of Olympus series. On Book 4 currently. Very good!
I'm hoping to read Code Name Verity, A Gathering of Shadows and Invasion of the a Tearling.I'm really intrigued by the Light Bringer series ever since you started talking abt it! !I remember reading The Daughter of Smoke and Bone after hearing you rave abt it and I absolutely loved that series.
I really really really love your glasses and how they suit your face :) I read The Cursed Child and I'm really curious to see what you think about it. The Queen's Poisoner looks interesting! Happy reading.
I tend to get my really big/ floppy books in ebook version - less intimidating and easier on my wrist lol. The Lightbringer Series sounds awesome and I will be checking it out!
I was afraid to read the cursed child as well! so you're not alone in the feeling.. even as i was reading it! i had to stop sometimes cause i was scared to go deeper
Right now I'm reading Seraphs by Faith Hunter. For this month I plan to also read Host by Faith Hunter and Rebel by Claire Delacroix. And maybe Dragon Mage by Andre Norton. But three books is usually a good monthly goal for me. That's about what I average.
This month im finishing A Court of Mist and Fury which is sooooo good! and then im going to read And I Darken, Truthwitch, This Savage Song, and maybe My Lady Jane!
The Light Bringer series looks really good! Good luck with the enormous latest edition. I just read The Wrath and the Dawn which was great so I'm about to read the sequel: The Rose and the dagger :)
My TBR for August: A Man Called Ove - Frederick Backman Zodiac - Romina Russell The Way We Bared Our Souls - Willa Strayhorn Ashes to Ashes - Melissa Walker And MY ambitious read: rereading Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell - Susanna Clarke Wish me luck!!
Completely agree with you on Cursed Child. I'm terrified of reading it, and I just don't think I will. I enjoy having a set premise of the characters futures after Deathly Hallows, but having enough room for interpretation and do what you wish with them. This story is a bit intimidating.
Well, Regan, being that the sixth book in GRRM's Game of Thrones series is forever I have pretty much forgotten what all happened in the five books. So I need refreshing and am starting from scratch. I am a little over 300 pages through on A Game of Thrones right now. I'm also reading The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. It's very emotional, quite sad as well, but I love it so far. I'm half-way through this one. Since you showed The Broken Eye, I have the first book, The Black Prism, and oh how I want to read that so bad. And I'm thinking about starting the Beyonders trilogy by Brandon Mull. Enjoy your books!
I'm going to wait for a consensus on The Cursed Child. In the meantime, I'll be reading The Darkest Minds, Julia Vanishes and The Girl in the Spiders Web. Happy reading!
Kiss of Deception was (is?) on sale on the Kindle store so I finally got it. Looking forward to finally reading it hopefully this month. I am totally distracted by the reflection in the mirror too. Keep thinking there's someone else coming into the frame. 😂
because of the release of Harry Potter and the cursed child i am reading the whole series from the beginning. but i've been on vacation so i never read out the entire series before the release so this month i will read the 6th, 7th and 8th book in the Harry Potter series. BTW i loveeee ur videos. and u seem to be such a nice person
I bought a beautiful edition of the secret garden by frances hodgson burnett and I've wanted to read it for so long. I hope I'll get to it this month. I also hope I'll finish the name of the wind. I'm halfway through it but since I've been in a reading slump I've put it off cause I want to fully emerge myself in it and be able to enjoy it as much as possible, cause it's really good!
Currently reading Cress by Marissa Meyer and absolutely loving it! I'll probably read a bit of an inbetween book before diving into Winter. Maybe A Monster Calls or the second School of Good and Evil book.
I've finished The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan and plan on continuing on with the series this month, I'm currently reading Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera and other than the other Percy Jackson books I want to read The Beauty of Darkness by Mary E Pearson!
I'm currently reading Cursed Child and I like it so far. After Cursed Child, I'll be reading Kings Rising by C.S Pacat (to finish the Captive Prince Trilogy) and if I have time I'll read Crown of Midnight!
OMG YES!! Com is SO GOOD and Empire of storms is about to be released!!! ( also have u read acotar by sjm cuz u should just cuz ACOMAF; acotar is 5/5 and acomaf BREAKS the scale!)
I need to read Brent Weeks. The Lightbringer series sounds interesting. The magic system sounds similar to the Brandon Sanderson book below. Thanks. My August TBR (so far) is -- A Perfect Crime - Peter Abrahams Nature's Ways - Ruth Binney The Book of Imaginary Beings - Jorge Luis Borges American Gods - Neil Gaiman Asylum - Madeleine Roux Warbreaker - Brandon Sanderson
I'm currently reading sapphire blue and I'll read emerald green next. Then I have three books (I don't remember the titles) lent out to me by some friends and a teacher for the summer, so I have to read those this month before school starts. I also want to finish Percy Jackson's Greek heroes because I've had it since the day it came out, but it's hard to read during the school year because it's too big to carry around. Then hopefully I'll be able to read the tales of shadow hunter academy and lady midnight (it's taken me long enough) and be done with my summer tbr in time for empire of storms' release dare.
Great TBR. I've hesitated on the newest Harry Potter book as well. I haven't even bought a copy yet. For August, I plan to read: A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Mass (just finished actually) A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Mass The Black Prism by Brent Weeks The Guest Cat by Takashi Hiraide An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson
There's been mixed opinions on the Cursed Child. I'm reading it right now and I don't know how to feel about it yet so I'm intrigued to hear what you think
LOVE your wall colour!
Baby doll sounds a bit like Room, which I read a while back. Interested to see how it is
I'm excited to hear your thoughts on The Cursed Child!
I currently want to read ALL the books! I'm coming out of the tail end of a slump...only read two books in July. Right now I'm just staring at all my books and want to just grab them all and dive in. Here's hoping for a successful month of reading!!
Good luck!! 💓🤗✨
I'm with you on that!
I can't bring myself to read Cursed Child. I love the series and think it ended perfectly, I don't want to mess with that!
+Nina H. I loved it :/
don't read it then! It was awful, If I could unread it, I would!
it is the worst fan fiction I have ever read. they can keep telling the world it is official.
but it's totally easy to overlook.
rubbish story, dreadful execution.
Idk why some people hated it. I personally loved it.
it was prefect. however many people are disappointed because they regard it and they critique it as a novel of the series but it is in script form.
I'm also SO scared to read Cursed Child too. But I can't believe that there are people out there right now who know more about Harry's life and journey than I do. I can't let that stand!
The Broken Eye was AMAZING!!!!
Your TBR is massive!
The heart of betrayal is SO GOOD!!
We need an apartment tour!! Is it still at UT?
+
I feel you that the mirror is a little distracting :))))) I just got HP at walmart yesterday. I feel exactly the same way. SCARED. Also im soooo excited for the beauty of darkness.
Yay!!!! I can see The School for Good and Evil series!!!! Can't wait for the fourth book to come out!!!!
Ever since i found your channel you have motivated me to start reading again! So far I've read 3 short books, now i want to transition to some longer/ "brick" books that you've shared and recommended to further challenge myself (: so thank you for being you and inspiring others, including me, with your love of books!!
I found the lightbringer series thanks to you never shutting up about it. Thank you! it's a fantastic series =)
so many more books added to my tbr every single time i watch your videos 😩
I loved cursed child! It made me feel so many emotions and I cried and laughed so much
Just finished The Blinding Knife and it just consumed my soul.
I bought The Glass Prism b/c off all your gushing about the series. I plan on reading it this month. Thanks for all the great recommendations!
Heart of Betrayal was so good! I hope you like it! The Remnant Chronicles is one of my favorite series of all time. . .I finally got Beauty of Darkness and I cannot wait to read it!! :) Good luck on your TBR this month!
I just finished reading The Queen's Poisoner and I liked it.
Your shelf set up looks so nice so far (I love staring at the Wondla spines)
Ooohh the set up is pretty cozy, i like it 💕
woah that last book is ginormous 👀 wish you luck!!
I think that as long as you really understand that The Cursed Child isn't going to be the 8th Harry Potter book then it can be enjoyable. The heart of betrayal sounds so good! I am reading the little woman for school this month and I'm gonna try and read the Maze Runner! 😊
Cursed Child was a very fast read! I loved it!
Really looking forward to reading This Savage Song this month!
I couldn't stop staring at your back from the mirror

Ahh I definitely want to read the Heart of Betrayal! I've heard such good things about the series!
I'm nervous for it too but I just read the first 2 scenes and got all the feels. So hopefully that continues.
Slay that TBR! You can do it :) I can't wait to see what you think of the Queen's Poisoner. I saw it on Audible the other day and was curious about it.
The Cursed Child majorly dissappointed me. Sadly. I love Harry Potter. But the story should have had an end after the 7th book.
Is it actually a script or have they developed it into a proper novel?
It is a script
I liked it.
The content is still the same, no matter if it's a script or not
***** True but a script isn't something I enjoy reading. But this is Harry Potter we're talking about so ofc I have to do it.. :P
The perusetopia book sounds like it was inspired by the Amanda Berry case. The synopsis is basically the details of how they found Amanda, her daughter, and two other women locked in his home for a decade.

So after watching this I told him the fourth book is coming out in October and he's stupidly excited! I think he just really needs to start watching your videos himself ha!
the last book reminded me of the 1Q84 trilogy by Murakami. that's also a brick book
I love you soooooo much!!!!! You are the best
Great TBR! Good luck and happy reading! :D
It's all about Star Trek books right now for me. I'm reading two different series: Legacies and Myriad Universes. One has been out for a while and the other one has one more book due out at the end of August. Such fun!
I plan to read Treacherous Shadows and The Eden Conspiracy. Those are my two definite reads.
I just finished The Queen's Poisoner and I loved it!

I'm reading The Kiss of Deception right now and I'm really enjoying it :)
I was afraid to read the cursed child as well! so you're not alone in the feeling.. even as i was reading it! i had to stop sometimes cause i was scared to go deeper

I'm currently reading sapphire blue and I'll read emerald green next. There's been mixed opinions on the Cursed Child. I'm reading it right now and I don't know how to feel about it yet so I'm intrigued to hear what you think
