@everyday tenor To each their own. In my opinion the bike sounds so much better with an aftermarket exhaust. Plus the slip on gives the bike a more aggressive looks. Totally feel ya and everyone has their preference. I wear earplugs when I ride not only for the exhaust but for the wind noise. I've worked around Aviation for a number of years and hearing loss can be an issue if not wearing the proper hearing protection. Thanks for watching!
@everyday tenor The "Backfires on engine braking" is decel pop caused by oxygen being injected into the exhaust by the PAIR valve, if you remove the PAIR valve or plug it's intake, you won't experience this issue.
I would have gone a full M4 System. Kyle and crew are in Dallas, GREAT people, and you’re supporting a local Texas company. The Bauce racing flash is great. They flash all my bikes as well. Always love that heart sticker on my ECU.
I like your r6 videos better than Motonosity. Im not trying to hear about life/family stories for half the video... Keep up the awesome last gen r6 work!
I did this with my 2016 r6 also. Kept the stock headers and used M4 y pipe with a M4 carbon fiber shorty exhaust. I kept the honey comb though. Also i recommend welding the m4 y pipe with the headers. I guarantee you that there is an air leak from the y pipe and headers. That was my situation and then i just got it welded.
Bauce Racing was a good choose. I have a full voodoo exhaust with a Bauce Racing flash and it sounds dope. Id actually like to go get it on the dyno there..i have a couple videos with that set up on my bike. The fly by is the best
Very nice.. definitely better than before, did my CAT delete a few months ago, just had some yesterday blast off on my bike so I can hear what it really sounds like, and Maaaan it was loud.. I have a Two Brothers on mine. Plus have the ECU flashed and Dyno makes a big difference.
I have the cat delete on my r6. Mines older as an 03 and i have the scorpion pipe on it. Gives a much different sound I think Also not sure if its the year/pipe combo or just my headphones but i feel like my bike is a lot louder than yours
Tbh nice work man but there's a way easier way to do it. I had a 2013 r6 and put a y pipe, which went on the headers past the welds on the flat part of the cylinder. currently have a 2016 about to the the same. I will post a vid to show.
I am looking into getting M4 Exhaust and remove my cat (R6) but hoping to get cheaper Y pipe to use. Right now using stubby exhaust but not sure how loud it is in actual ride since I am off bike while healing up from injury.
@@itsmeericb Sorry on late response here. Yeah I decided to ditch the shorty and unfortunately due to California being anal about certain exhaust, I can’t order a M4 Exhaust directly from the company but just found and ordered from third party on eBay. It has few scruffs on it but since plan on doing track, don’t think anyone will even notice.
Nice job!👍🏽🏍 Thanks for sharing. I’m putting a full Yoshi exhaust on my ‘19 R6 next week. How was the Bauce ECU flash, was it just plug & play? Are you putting in any block off plates as you pulled out the AIS? Thanks!
Hey that awesome on the Yoshi! The ECU is plug and play. Send it off and get it back making the bike feel like a new bike! No block off plates. I actually just did a video on the ECU removal and a first ride with the flash and exhaust done. I’ll be posting it soon!
Man I remember you sold your MT10 awhile back and I disagreed with your decision. I sold my MT10 a few months back and am getting an r6 today 🤣 you happy with your decision looking back?
Yeah man it’s a pain In the a$$. I didn’t go for a specific size. I just got a hole set and a spade and went to town. You’ll need an extension on the drill and jus flick whatever size you think will work.
@@itsmeericb I just bought a 2020 R6 I ordered the M4 slip on with the M4 y-pipe, kit was $500+ and I didn’t want a full system that costed $2000. I’ll try my best to get it on, the kit should be delivered by today.
@@thesolojourney8955 Awesome! Yes it’s a lot cheaper but man you do have to do some work. Haha! Hope it works out for you! You’ll love it when it’s done! 💪
It dont sound better at all, just sounds clearer, matter of fact it sounds like a scooter, new muffler you picked is trash you should've got the arrow muffler or the annpee, you would definitely hear some power,
It was some work but who has done a cat delete on their R6 vs putting a full header on?

@John Doe Ahhh nice! 👏 Looks like you had a pretty easy time working on it! 💪
@everyday tenor The "Backfires on engine braking" is decel pop caused by oxygen being injected into the exhaust by the PAIR valve, if you remove the PAIR valve or plug it's intake, you won't experience this issue.
Added a M4 mid pipe and SC project slip on to my 2020 R6. Cut the cat and honeycomb out. 100% worth the work. Sounds incredible!
Nice! Yes once you drop the cat the R6 sounds amazing!
I have a 2008 r6 and that’s exactly what I’m about to do to mine!
I would have gone a full M4 System. Kyle and crew are in Dallas, GREAT people, and you’re supporting a local Texas company. The Bauce racing flash is great. They flash all my bikes as well. Always love that heart sticker on my ECU.
Yeah I went back and forth of which exhaust to go with but I really loves the looks of the Akrapovic slip on. Yes the heart sticker is a nice touch!
4:32 was the most wholesome thing I've ever heard. You're winning at life brother 🤟🏽🖤
Definitely sounds better 👌🏻
Yes it does! 😃
Salt! 🙌

Yeah I had a little leak at first but I was able to stop it. Welding is a good idea.
Since you kept the honey comb, do you still need a tune
Awesome job. Heard an immediate difference. Gotta love the crackles and pops.
Bauce Racing was a good choose. I have a full voodoo exhaust with a Bauce Racing flash and it sounds dope. Id actually like to go get it on the dyno there..i have a couple videos with that set up on my bike. The fly by is the best

Yes the bike rips now! I am actually hear it while riding! Haha!
@@itsmeericb that’s awesome
Another great video brother. Lithium battery and cat delete, you’re dropping almost 20lbs. Now you’ll be able to keep up with the other 600’s! 😳
Thanks! Yeah crazy how heavy the stock cat is. I’ll look into the lithium batteries next.
Weight savings are nice, but improving your skills is what makes you faster

Yeah could be the muffler

Is a Eric just out of curiosity do you ever think of trying a small slip on To see if there's a difference in sound

Shorty with a cat delete will be loud. The M4 is pretty loud as well. Personal I think the M4 y pipe is the way to go just due to quality.
@@itsmeericb Sorry on late response here. Way better 🙏🏻
You get the servo buddy? Looks good.
Thanks! No, I had my ECU flashed so I didn’t need it.
Hey bro what did you shave down the welds with because you didn’t show it in the video ?
Oh man it’s been a while! Are talking about in order to get the Y pipe to slip on? I use a grinder.
Man I remember you sold your MT10 awhile back and I disagreed with your decision. I sold my MT10 a few months back and am getting an r6 today 🤣 you happy with your decision looking back?
😂 Yeah man I don’t regret my decision at all! I love the R6! Wouldn’t mind having the MT in addition though.
any bad side effect on removing the cat ?? i wanna do it hope wont effect my engine plus any bad effect on fairing heat ??
No effects what so ever other than it being louder and you will need an ECU flash. If you don’t get it flashed you will have a check engine light.
What mm is the part after the bong?
My M4 y pipe got delivered as I was watching this video😂
Awesome! Haha!
Im really debating the dang m4 to the ebay one. What really the difference
Build quality and how it’s made for fitment
Do you have to install power comand after cat delete
Yes or ECU flash
@@itsmeericb thank you
Will this throw a CEL with the O2 sensor if you don't get a tune?
Yes
Damn, sounds so sick! 🔥 I just installed the slip on then this video pops up 🤦🏻♂️
Haha! Nice!
Good job bro 👏🏿
Thanks!
What did you shave the headers down with ?
Just an electric reciprocating saw
Can’t wait to see the diff. Should really rip now brother.
Oh it’s a whole new bike now!
What size bit did you use to cut the inside crap out? Did it work well? I'm trying to find what the fastest is because its a bitch
Yeah man it’s a pain In the a$$. I didn’t go for a specific size. I just got a hole set and a spade and went to town. You’ll need an extension on the drill and jus flick whatever size you think will work.
What torque spec did you tighten the headers ?
Oh man I can’t remember but I think it was around 14 or 15 ft lbs. definitely check the owners manual or good ol Google.
What tool did you use to get all the honey combs out of the pipes?
I tried a couple different things but I used a spade bit and a hole saw set. Try using whatever will work best for you.

You only delete the cat no need to do dyno or ecu ?
No you have to flash the ECU or dyno tune it. I got an ECU flash done.
How did he get ride of the welds on top?
I had to use a grinder for those.
How did you remove the honey comb
Did you not watch the video? Lol You’ll have to drill it out.
How much did it cost to have your ecu flashed
I think it was no more than $200 and I actually think it was cheaper than that.
Didn't turn on the check engine?
No because I had my ECU flashed for it.
How long did it take to ship?
I can’t remember. It was a while ago but not long.
Yeah man money well spent imo. Just need a flash now bro
Flash is already done! Video with first ride on the new exhaust coming soon!
