Viv, let me tell you about my sewing adventure today.... I woke up at 7:00am, took a show and started sewing only taking a break long enough to eat breakfast. I was able to make 6 pair of PJ bottoms for my 5 year old grandson; he asked me to make him 6 pairs and that what my little sugar puddin was going to get!!!! I was a little wounded during my adventure today, pricked one of my fingers twice with straight pins, tripped over a dining room chair where I where I had my sewing machine set up and bruised my knee, sliced my knuckle with my nippers and sewed through a fingertip. All in all it was a good day in the neighborhood. Thank you Lord for bandaids. 🤕🤕🤕
Why I love, love, love Vivmom videos!!!: She is no nonsense and gets right to the point, sticks to the subject of sewing, has many patterns and fabric to show and comes back with many makes, she is beautiful, wonderful personality, fabulous sense of humor and is so much fun to watch! Brad is a lot of fun to watch, too!!! He is tall, dark and handsome! He is a very good sport, willing to model, wonderful sense of humor and has the cutest personality! Thank you so much to both of you for being so entertaining and making these videos!!! Love you both so much!
Vivian! I absolutely love the designer dress and jacket for you to make for your mother of the bride or one of the other dresses. Its elegant, beautiful, a shining star in the firmament. Every daughter would be so happy for to look lovely like this on her wedding do. These garments truly embrace your class / sophistication, femininity and elegance. Happiness too!
I am 72 I have been sewing for years. But have stop making close as my kids are grown. You have got me thinking of sewing again . I have cut a pattern out for my great granddaughter. How fun thank you
You have made me excited about garment sewing again! I sewed a lot as a young girl for myself and then when I had a family I sewed for my kids. When I gained a lot of weight, nothing fit so I picked up quilting. Now after watching several videos of yours, I have bought some patterns and and fabric and watching fit to stitch I am bravely sewing garments again! Thank you ever so much!
Hi Viv , don’t worry about replies, no one expects them, we just love sharing your enthusiasm for sewing, and you inspire me to crack on, in another video you asked what we sew with, I have a 1980 Elna SU pure engineering, it’s loved and looked after, and I’m going to carry on sewing on it, kind regards Jane xx
Butterick 3494 would make a great nighty set as well. Every time you show these patterns I think of that time as when people cared about getting ready for the day EVERYDAY. I'm a 1952 baby so late late 60's represented my high school years and we prepared what we would wear the night before along with big brush rollers which you learned to sleep with. Enjoy watching your Vivmom Sews.
Hi V! It’s a bygone era, isn’t it? Times were SO different. Men wore hats, and removed them indoors. Women looked put together and wore gloves! The no-pants thing was pretty ridiculous for women, of course that changed. And some of the strict social mores really had to change. But we’ve lost something in the transition. When you see people grocery shopping in their pajamas, you know we’ve REALLY lost something. I just love the 60’s styles. They seem to be almost universally flattering - A Lines, shifts, column dresses, even the caftans had panache. Well, thanks for writing. And those curlers!! How did you sleep?? Wow!!😄🌸
Hi Viv from across the pond. your videos are fab and it's lovely to see someone else with such a sewing addiction. Please don't stop - you keep me going xx
Am like a little kid at bed time or at the pool, 5 more minutes 5 more minutes. 🤣🤣 it's a legit knit! I love it! Also, going out to dinner with your husband in his swashbuckler shirt and your son in his surf meets the turf shorts would be a great picture . You have the best family ever!!
Let’s face it, anyone who sews has some sort of an addiction to all things sewing😉😉!!! Viv, I love your no-nonsense approach to your videos and I love the fact that we are all alike in our love for fabric and patterns💜💜!! Shhh....we won’t say a word about all that extra fabric in a particular color 😉!
Love your passion for fabric, patterns and sewing. It may be an illness we all share but isnt it fabulous?!! I like how excited you get when you find fabric at bargain prices. I do, too!
Oh Viv! Whilst I am delighted to read your responses to my comments, I never expect a reply. I’d rather you spend those moments sewing and sharing nuggets of sewing info on your vlog. Keep the content coming and I am feeling the ‘short suit’ pattern, can’t wait to see what you do with it. Wish me luck on my skort adventure, I know, this fashion item is outdated unless you golf, but it suits my needs in the scorching Arizona summer and frees me up to frolic with my grand boys. Awaiting McCalls 8109 to get started😀
Ok Viv, I have been dying to ask: "Can we get a closet tour?" I cannot imagine where in the world you put all the garments you make each month/year. I am struggling with a tiny reach-in closet and am prepared for serious closet envy.
Honey, you would have NO closet envy. It’s a pretty full closet but it’s a standard issue 1972 colonial townhouse closet, with too much junk stored on the upper shelves (why did I hang onto my wedding dress from 1985? And why do I have enough Christmas cards to send to 5000 people?🙄) The trick is that I rotate everything out seasonally. I use those thin velvet shirt hangers - not the ones with the bottom, just the “wings,” and you can get a lot of those into a closet. I donate to Goodwill regularly to make room for the newly sewn stuff. But seriously, I have room in my closet right now for more. I need to be sewing!!😄👍
No, No, and No you do not have a problem with buying patterns and fabric! I love visiting your vlog to see what you've purchased,. I can imagine your closets. When you reorganize your closets, do you donate your clothing to charity? Don't tell your husband....well let me think about that...LOL!! Nah, I won't say anything, we sewists have to stick together, right? Your pattern/fabric hauls are nice. I do love the Simplicity pattern short's set too. I can't wait to see that make. Happy sewing!
I love your videos. You don’t have to shorten the videos on my account. I find myself smiling throughout your video. And that makes me happy. You have such an easy-going way about you and really show that you’re enjoying your hobby. I also want to thank you for listing all the patterns that you talk about. Otherwise we’d have to be spending the time taking notes. I know it’s time-consuming so you don’t have to answer my comments. Just know that I appreciate you.
Hi from the Midwest, can’t wait for Simplicity Pattern sale at JoAnns next week. I hate cutting out pattern pieces. So I started cutting pattern pieces when I purchase them. I use a Rotary cutter and cut all pieces on the largest size on the patterns. Then on the pattern package I write Cut Out Done. Saves me time when I want to make something. Love watching you. You make me smile.
Hi from England. I couldn't agree more with you about being amongst the sewing community even if it is on You Tube. i spend most of my evenings watching videos, I am retired so I can sew during the day and watch at night. You can still buy fabric and patterns in the evening!!!!! Thanks for doing these videos.
Hi Christine! Congratulations on your retirement, what a milestone. Isn’t it fabulous to have time to devote to sewing? I’m in that boat for now while my husband’s parents are still healthy and my children are older. I know things can always change, so I’m savoring it. I’ve had a couple rough sews though lately, ugh! Looking forward to some progress after being exasperated with the patterns. Happy to have you here!😄👍
I have S8874 in my wishlist also! It has all that I love: gored skirt, waist seam, rounded square neckline, and sleeve ties. Perfect for those bright prints that I can't seem to resist. I always apply the philosophy of busy fabric= basic pattern, plain fabric= seamed pattern!!!
Hi Vivmom. After watching your videos, I decided I wanted to try Simplicity 8332. So I drove 50 miles to buy it at a very clean and organized JoAnn Fabrics....Simplicity patterns were $1.99 yesterday. I was happy to find it in the drawer, along with 5 other 8332 patterns. When it was time for me to check out, the lady scanned the pattern and then said she could not sell it to me because it was an old pattern (copyright 2017???) and was no longer ‘in the system’!....that she had no way to price it! I said it is $1.99, just scan the other pattern twice, heehee. I had to really lay on the sweetness and finally the manager begrudgingly allowed me to buy it....so funny!
I love your videos! I've been binge watching them. It's like having a sewing bestie! I'm chronically ill and they really always bring a smile to my face.
Looooved all the patterns, the dresses are gorgeous. .!! Today I bought seven patterns in the what we in Australia call op-shops and I think you call thrift store. Five were dresses. Like you, I also love looking at them and dream of sewing ,sewing and sewing..!! Saturday I have a sewing day with the sewing guild group and am looking forward to it. Cheers 🌞💕
Because of you I am now getting back to sewing clothes.... I made a plain T Shirt in a great Great flower pattern material. My daughter-in-law noticed it and she liked it. Now thats a feat. lol Thank you. I am buying material and patterns and taking some of your advice on patterns. I love watching..
Oh Margie that’s wonderful!! It’s really bolstering to receive compliments from a younger family member because, I don’t know, I trust that they have their finger on the pulse of fashion - good fashion! I’m always charmed when my daughter Candace says she’d definitely wear something I’ve made, or that it has an Anthropologie vibe. Great job on your flowered tee! Keep planning those projects and creating. It keeps us young! Thanks for writing.😃
😍 Don't reply, sew.😁 You know I love these hauls.! You definitely see the potential of these projects! Fun and motivating.! Yes I got more patterns and fabric! Now, shush. Oh, not the vids .. keep on! Got to see Colin's final shorts decision!
Now I want to buy more patterns! I made 3 quilting cotton dresses, maxi skirt, skirt, top, and a tunic I love but was too tight in the arms. My daughter wants it!💞 I’m learning patterns aren’t the same sizes as they use to be. I need to read the measurements! I relearning and having fun! Your love of sewing is contagious!
I have a three piece set which I love so much: great-fitting slacks, a skirt, and a long (mid-thigh) jacket. The drummer called it my rock’n roll suit.....the kicker is the exposed zippers on the pockets and large-ish same-color snaps rather than buttons, etc. The trim and embellishments plus great fit. I get a lot of use of this group - I like to sew vests for it and stuff. I think all that knit would make a great combo like this!!! XOjennyinseattle
So. I love your top! It's so edgy! You crack me up! Four now?? I can't keep up with you! I wore my skirt yesterday. One lady loved it and she didn't know I made it! Oh my goodness! I adore the pattern 3334!!! That is MY Style. I need seven of them, right now.
McCall's 8124 looks like a dress Jackie K Onasis had made several times. Nice rest and I like your oldies 'retro' patterns. I also love them. Thanks for sharing.
👗Such fun fabrics and patterns. Love the cotton navy with mango flowers - so pretty. That little summer jacket will look so cute on you. The fit is perfect. Love it when you share the Kwik-Sew patterns. Love the long flowy dress pattern. That looks like you. You always find such cute patterns and fabric to go with them. 🌷🧵Happy Sewing! 🤗
Loving the 60's patterns, is love to make up quite a few of those. I agree they used to have done lovely shapes and darts in them. I've only fairly recently started looking at the original (60's) ones and am really enjoying them (my auntie even got me a few for Christmas 😁😍) Also thinking that first cotton (big red/orange/peach flowers on it) would be BEAUTIFUL made up in a couple of those 60's shift dresses you showed us!!! Can't wait to see what you make 😀 x
Never sick of seeing what you do! A tried and true is fabulous! I just got done sewing a new nightgown and thought of you the whole time! So, when is your fabulous husband going to build an extension on the house for a sewing room? I think your gonna need it soon😂😂😉😆. Peace, love and light
Viv, thank you again for having such a positive and lovely video today. The fabric your son wants to be made into shorts is awesome -- he must have inherited your eye. (Just don't let him borrow his dad's swashbuckler shirt to go with it...) And the first floral fabric you showed from Hobby Lobby looks like something similar I purchased there a month or so ago -- I'm hoping to make a simple 3/4 sleeve top with it. The dark background and the pretty floral are appealing to me. I have to laugh when you look for your glasses, because I put my glasses down, too, and then when I go to look for them, they are under some fabric or on my head as well. I'm laughing with you when that happens. I love how real you are, and I get a great sense of being with you in the room. You are like a friend who has come to the house after shopping to show what you found. It's always a good time, and of course it's because kindred spirits have found you here. I hope you have a great week and weekend. Remember, as well as fabric and patterns, you are surrounded with the good will of us who enjoy seeing you here. What a great place to be!
I really like your hair today. It’s so cute! Really enjoy your videos seeing all your fabric and pattern hauls. I enjoy seeing how you choose your fabrics to go with your patterns. I struggle with that aspect. Thanks for all your sharing.
I have not been sewing in years. I have been looking for a dress for my son’s wedding. I don’t like anything. You have inspired me to start again. Do something for myself. I am going to try the tunic pattern to start, and keep going to the “Dress”. So keep on buying and sewing I need Ideas!!
Hi Vivmom, Thank you for another lovely video; your 1960s patterns are gorgeous. Also loved "This is a legit knit", hilarious! 😄 Don't worry about having to reply to every message. I'm sure that many of us just want to send you a message to say thank you for making such great videos for us to enjoy. Looking forward to the next one! Cheerio, Jodie
Oh my gosh Viv you did it again 😚Love all your fabrics and patterns, that Kwik sew dress with pleats just love it ! (does your husband really need know EVERYTHING 😉🤔......) can't wait what you whisk up this time ,you have such an good eye what fabric goes with what pattern have a Lovely weekend
I love finding your videos in the morning.Because here in north Germany is so cold I am knitting a pullover while while admiring your beautiful choices in patterns and fabrics, it serves me as orientation and inspiration.I just wish we had more warm days because I would like to wear like you beautiful printed dresses and tops. The printed fabrics you got are so nice and fits very well to the elegant lines of the 60's patterns, as you said, there is no need for complicated designs for it.Happy sewing and a great weekend for you and family!
Very nice haul Ms. Viv! I love the way you review your Fabrics and your patterns! They’re almost as good as show your garments...those are my favs! I just love watching your videos!
Hi Myra! I was just thinking about you, and the move, packing/unpacking, and you’re just a ray of sunshine throughout. Thanks for setting a lovely example. Oh, and of course thanks for watching and always sharing a kind word.😄👍I love your videos!💕
Viv...you are such an inspiration to me! I had not made a garment in over 25 years. I made a dress for my son's wedding in 1987!!!!! In the past 4 days I have made 4 tops!!!! You are so much fun to watch...
Yay!! I’m over here smiling ear to ear. Thanks for writing clogdancer!! Wooo hoooo!!🎊🎉💯👏👏👍💕You’re tearing it up. I’m so happy. Sewing is so good for the soul. Keep up the good work.😄
Oh my, I had S7532 (when it was new 😂). I may still have it! That little round collar KwikSew jacket is adorable and I love the released pleat dress. I looked at it and thought how elegant the long version would look in dupioni silk for the holidays. I love a boat neckline...very Audrey Hepburn. I love these 60s patterns so much; they were so simple and elegant. My favorite dress I made when I was around 19. It was a princess seamed, short-sleeved, collarless coat dress. I made a lined cocktail dress and because I didn't know how to make buttonholes I modified the front placket and added buttons and loops. So it was hot pink crepe and I used dome buttons with aurora crystals. It was beautiful and I was so happy with the way it turned out. I wore it to my bosses sons bar mitzvah; sat in a chair and got some kind of grease stain on it that would never come out...I cried. I never even got a picture of it--how sad is that? I loved that dress and I still have the buttons. I would love to figure out what pattern number that was.
You r such an inspiration! You have made me fearless when it comes to expanding my fabric choices & pattern styles. I would complete a large pattern dress & think hmm this is so loud. But now I picture your confidence & I embrace it. Other sites can be so droll but not you! You are a virtual sewing friend that I need to watch & then I get pumped 😘
Hi Jeanne, thanks for such a great note for my first message of the day. I’d call that starting my day off right!😄💕I’m glad to hear you’re feeling more confident in your fabric choices - yay!! Self expression is a good thing and sewing is perfect for it. Keep choosing your bold prints! (I adore bold prints.) Thanks again for writing!
i bought the tiny floral at hobby lobby also! i am using it for a retro 40's dress. love your 60's patterns so much! i made pants out of gingham for a beach vaca coming up, and a knit dress, woven top, and a rayon challis dress! working on more. you're quite the motivator!
I hit that Kwik Sew sale, too. One pattern is leggings without an outside leg seam, yay! Also, you can join the McCall's, Butterick etc. "club" and get the 3.99 sale patterns for 3.19. Love the extra knit you bought and that Jean Muir! Can't wait to see it realized.
I love your enthusiasm! You encouraged me to sew myself a top, after about 6 years away from garment sewing. The top I made is just ok. The front bodice is too big...my upper bust is 3 inches smaller than my true bust. I am not sure what I should do about sizing, but I am not giving up.
Joy just did a video about that, sizing. Pick your pattern size using your high bust measurement. Palmer & Pletsch, Nancy Zeiman, and Andrea here on YT have some great videos and materials to help us all! Happy sewing!
Hi viv a problem you don’t say, my husband would devorce yeah that’s not spelt right but I’m having one of those days me if I got as much fabric as you do , some great patterns in there I’ve come to the conclusion viv that you are a lady of leisure to have the time to do what you do, where sewing and getting your patterns and fabric are concerned, four hours to reply to people that’s a long time , you are so much fun to watch viv always a pleasure to catch up on your vids, I cut an old pattern out the other day which was a pair of trousers the vintage type with the buttons that run up along the pockets, I cut it to a size 18 I’m 16/18 but when I looked at the waist band I thought that’s never going g to fit so will have to modify it to fit,I think I will have to have a go at buying fabric on line you get some lovely pieces viv , my daughter came back last weekend and said I’d like a couple of dresses and a pair of floaty trousers making mum please, she is graduating in July so we will be shopping for fabric for her dress I’ve already got the pattern , looking forward to your next video viv .
Hi Viv, That Kwik Sew Jacket pattern 3334 you are gonna love. I have had this one for a few years and have made at least 6 jackets. The fit is fabulous. I have lengthened and flared it to make 2 fabulous coats. I have also lined some that I use in cooler weather. You won't be sayng I made another tunic, you will be saying I made another jacket. Both the collar versions are easy and look great. Love your videos.Cheers from Cheryl in Australia.
I have bought fabric and patterns before and then found the same in my stash! 🙄😂 I love seeing what other sewists have got, but the trouble with that is, I go off looking to buy what I've seen! 🤣🤣 As always, TFS 👍❤ I'm off to catch up some more of your older vids. x
Hello Vivmom thanks for sharing. Let me share this with you , my heart leaped when I saw that beautiful fabric with the horse racing, you see me and hubby are horse racing people, yep we frequent Belmont Park in New York and beautiful Saratoga in August, Well I have a great Idea I think I will go to Joann's and get some roses fabric for The Kentucky Derby in May and make an nice shift dress lol happy sewing.
Yay! Fantastic idea about the roses fabric, Edith. Thanks for writing. I’m excited about the horse racing shorts for Colin. Horses are so magnificent!!😄💕
Love all your fabrics and patterns. The shorts set is wonderful. I am a sucker for anything blue, love your blue solid. I can't wait to see what you make with that. Also, would love see the shorts you make for Collin. If possible hold them up when completed, so they don't have to be modeled. Always looking forward to next video. God Bless.
Always look forward to your videos, they brighten my days! Just as a little tip, So-Sew-Easy (no affiliation) has a free men's short pattern for woven fabrics with an elastic waistband. I've made it for my hubby 3 times and he loves them! They're not baggy on him but if you needed it would be easy to slim the legs down too. It is a Pdf so there's that whole printing and taping thing, though X-D
Love your videos, you make me want to sew more you are so inspiring, love your enthusiasm. How on earth do you remember which patterns you already own without buying duplicates.
Hi Viv 👋. I haven’t written since you were at maybe 100 something subscribers. U go Vivmom, wu hoo! Thanks for showing Kwik Sew & telling where I can get the best deal.
I LOVE shopping and sewing vicariously through you!!! Here's a (possible) tip- If I'm not mistaken, Jo Ann will honor the McCalls sales price at Hobby Lobby if you show them the weekly ad on your phone... But hey, then you don't have the fun of being tempted by all the Hobby Lobby fabrics, so... nevermind LOL! No need to write back- I know you're innundated. Just wanted you to know I'm the one that wrote I was having total hip replacement surgery just before Thanksgiving and you wished me well. I'm happy to report I'm now training for a triathlon in April (when I'm not sewing and watching UA-cam hahaha!) Keep the videos a-comin! Oh- one more thing- when in Hobby Lobby did you see a lovely linen like carnation pink fabric with small white pin stripes? I'm attempting to create my first suit out of it. I'll keep you posted. Just absolutely fell in love with the fabric ( I know you have NO idea how THAT feels LOL)
Just purchased pattern Butterick 3494 (Jean Muir white dress & jacket) for the jacket I'll have to grade it up but no problem there. I purchase many of the patterns you list for me and my husband. I also purchase from McCall's online and I purchased Kwik Sew 3878 (men’s V neck or crewneck tees, which went on sale the next day:( ) on 02/25 and it still has not been shipped! Love your channel!
Those patterns are great! I love the 60s patterns. You have such a great way of blending the old patterns and making them look so stylish and contemporary.
OMG Simplicity 7532.. I'm sure that is one my mom made for herself several times AND made kid sized ones for me too! Gotta love mommy daughter dresses 😂
It was so much fun running in to you! As always you’re making me want to get some sewing done! I got some cute patterns today (probably too many... if that’s possible) that I’m excited to try out! That jacket patter is so cute. Can’t wait to see more of what you got!
Thanks for the video and update! I loved the solid color fabric, I’ve bought so many printed knits lately in the quest of the perfect (for me) tunic fabric, that solids are looking good to me right now. LOVE THAT DEL MAR print for Colin’s shorts! You’ve taught us NEVER SAY NEVER on those BIG prints! Those shorts are going to be great and he’s going to love them.🤩 Now Viv! FOUR HOURS answering our comments? ⏱(stopwatch emoji) Cough, cough! WOW! DON’T EVER FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE TO WRITE BACK! I’ll have to curb my long ‘letters’! Have an awesome end of the week! Off to visit some grand-babies! Ciao!👋🏼👋🏼
Hi viv! Love the 60s patterns and well everything! I'm working on a 70s bathing suit with a zipper. So fun and excited to make and wear it and the long skirt included in the pattern.
Great video ! I love watching your pattern and fabric interests. I recently got a chance to go to Washington ( I'm from Canada) and because of your videos I went to Jo-Anns and to Hobby Lobby. I got some great prices on patterns- we never get patterns that cheap here!

Vivmom, I just found your channel and I think I have found my sewing soulmate!!! I was in such a buying frenzy yesterday that I accidentally bought a new serger (that's my story and I'm sticking to it). I have about 10 projects that I'm almost ready to start on, just waiting for some notions to come in. I absolutely love the 60s patterns. I'm also really into the 30s and the 70s.
Hi Teri, welcome!! Omg too funny - “accidentally bought a serger”😂 - well hey, these things happen. Somehow fabric keeps coming to my house, it’s the strangest thing. (Note to self: stop looking at fabric websites late at night.😭) I hope you have a ball with your projects...what are you sewing? Thanks for writing!
@@vivmomsews4962 I'm going to finally try the Watson bra, I also drafted a sports bra pattern (from my favorite one that is no longer made) that I'm going to sew up, a pair of burda palazzo pants, a pair of cropped pants (Vogue 9181) in a gorgeous snakeskin twill in a fawn color that I just got from Mood and several workout tops. I also just purchased some of the 60s patterns that I saw in some of your videos so I have a busy spring and summer ahead of me.
love your fabric haul. was in joann fabric today was short on time and just purchased jean button to fix my husband,s jeans. when i go to joann fabric i just thing about what i want. and as always i love your videos. joyce from houston,tx
Wow, that Butterick pattern - love the way the bodice is cut! And the Kwik Sew jacket is adorable. I'm in love with S8888, I can see a couple of those in my future. You know I depend on you for all my new patterns!
Woah that woven in knit shorts, hope it goes well. Going to need that hacking dress! And that kwik sew jacket gives me early 2000s vibes, I had that haircut AND belt 😂
Judy Chapman 🤣but hey it’s for that sugar puddin🎯
LOL

So well said Sheila!🤗🤗🤗
I agree!
Yesss!! ^
Sheila!!! You’re a darling!! Thank you for this wonderful, generous comment.😄💕
💕❤️💕
Love seeing all these 60's pattern and remind me of Mad Men. I loved that show.
Love when you tell us "to hold on a min ". It's just like we are there with you . That's your unique touch .
Thanks Leta! I’ve been enjoying your comments.😄👍

I can assure you, judith, I show no signs of stopping. Yippee!! Thanks!😄💕
I think you have such a talent putting fabric with a pattern!
Love your passion for fabric, patterns and sewing. It may be an illness we all share but isnt it fabulous?!! I like how excited you get when you find fabric at bargain prices. I do, too!
your hair looks really good today... you look great in solids and close fitting fabrics. your very inspiring!
Skorts out of date? Nay! I've seen in stores last 2 summers. And if they were out of date, who cares! Wear what you love! 😁
@@vivmomsews4962
You have just described about 90% of my friend's and my closets!
I think all the time, like where does she put all those wonderful outfits? 😀
It's so southing to me to watch you. You make me want to sew more. I'm the world's queen of procrastination and I hate it but can't seem to change. 😖
Cheers 🌞💕
Thank you for validating us sewers! You inspire me.
As usual you don’t fail to entertain with your enthusiasm and creativity. I can’t wait to see your new creations.
Nice buys✅ But I might have to tell your husband about your extra fabric, if you don’t split the proceeds with me - ROFL 🤣 FIESTA 🤗🤗🤗
I buy lots of fabric and patterns too. It makes me happy especially when I create garments made my way. 💖💝
Yes! We get to choose all aspects of a garment and there’s such sweet freedom in that! Thanks Dora.😄💕
I love your enthusiasm. You are so authentically you. You were born to inspire...and shop. Lol
😍 Don't reply, sew.😁 You know I love these hauls.! You definitely see the potential of these projects! Fun and motivating.! Yes I got more patterns and fabric! Now, shush. Oh, not the vids .. keep on! Got to see Colin's final shorts decision!
I love Kwik sew too.
I could watch you all day. I love watching. You keep me energized 😁
Love your hair!!!
The little jacket with the rounded collar will be darling on you.
I've only fairly recently started looking at the original (60's) ones and am really enjoying them (my auntie even got me a few for Christmas 😁😍)
Also thinking that first cotton (big red/orange/peach flowers on it) would be BEAUTIFUL made up in a couple of those 60's shift dresses you showed us!!! Can't wait to see what you make 😀 x
Oh my goodness, my mother made that dress (8611 Simplicity) for me to wear to my first school dance! It was so cute! Great memories😁
Fantastic buys as always.... Thank you so much for sharing xxx have a wonderful day xxxx ❤️🌹🌹🌹
You can’t answer everyone! When would you have time to shop for fabric and sew? 🤣🤣 Oh, I love those 60’s patterns!
In the past 4 days I have made 4
tops!!!!
Your joy about your patterns and fabric is just so infectious! Think I’ll hit the fabric store today. Sew on my friend.
Just wanted to say i love love love these videos.
Love seeing the patterns some I sewed for my Mom years ago. Still like the patterns.
Love your zest for life. Viv you do make me smile. Love those 60s patterns.
Thank you for this! Love your videos😊👍❤
Yeah, I like the short outfit from simplicity, I was looking at their new patterns just today and this one captured my attention.
i bought the tiny floral at hobby lobby also! i am using it for a retro 40's dress. love your 60's patterns so much! i made pants out of gingham for a beach vaca coming up, and a knit dress, woven top, and a rayon challis dress! working on more. you're quite the motivator!
OMGOSH! How “Groovy”! I love it ! I actually love the older ( vintage) patterns
Thanks Judi. How do I find Joy’s video?
@@bettyhazel6282 look up Joy Bernhardt here on YT. ☺
Peggy Sagers is great as well! Actually show how to fit a pattern to you!!!!
Ditto
Simplicity 8888 is so cute. I like sleeves and pockets, too. I buy and then fix the pattern!
Happy Thursday, your vlogs make me happy, no reply needed. Happy Sewing! xx
I'm addicted to buying patterns as well. I don't have time to make all my lovelies but I try
Hey you have over 7000 subscribers you will be at 10k soon. Sew many love you! Great video.
My Dear. I don't expect a reply. Keep your time for sewing. Seriously, just keep sewing.
🤔🤔🤔🤔hey Viv
Have you ever thought of designing your "own creation!"....I think you should!🤗
Love following you
so much....😊
Just purchased pattern Butterick 3494 (Jean Muir white dress & jacket)
for the jacket I'll have to grade it up but no problem there.
I love them all, Viv. I think I have had some of those patterns back in the day. Have fun sewing.
Those shorts are going to be great and he’s going to love them.🤩
Now Viv!
We 're from Toronto and my sister and I want to head to Buffalo for the same reason.

I am quite jealous Louise of the price you get patterns at, they are expensive over here in the uk 🇬🇧
Somehow fabric keeps
coming to my house, it’s the strangest thing.
Sounds totally fabulous!! Yay!!!!🎉👏👏🎉
Always love your hauls. The round collar jacket will great on you!
Thanks for sharing all of those awesome fabrics and patterns.

Hi, I am Viv and I haven’t bought any fabric six days. 😂😂😂
Hi, Viv. Lol
12 step program, here I come! (Tomorrow. I’ll start tomorrow...)👍😄
Del Mar Cali... A beautiful place... come on out you'll love it!
I just love your fabric hauls, you are just so funny.
Wow, that Butterick pattern - love the way the bodice is cut! And the Kwik Sew jacket is adorable. I'm in love with S8888, I can see a couple of those in my future. You know I depend on you for all my new patterns!
I am in agreement with you, I love plain dresses etc, and these patterns are brilliant. Love the pink floral fabric.
Woah that woven in knit shorts, hope it goes well. Going to need that hacking dress! And that kwik sew jacket gives me early 2000s vibes, I had that haircut AND belt 😂
