Great to see you both excellent commentators, bazball is worked for eng in first test but sometimes you hv to adapt to situation or you face heavy defeat like this in ind, bazball approach successful in eng only
Some of the passages of play just required England to temper the attacking to weather some pressure before going back to attacking. It's become an ego thing now where they won't be flexible even if the state of the match calls for it. It's not helping that Root and Bairstow are both struggling form wise right now. I'd play Lawrence in place of Bairstow because he bowls a bit and that removes the pressure on Root to be a front line bowler. The fact they didn't try and put pressure on India when they were missing Ashwin, if they'd forced the remaining bowlers to bowl more overs rather than hitting out.
I just went through some recent stats of England against Australia &Pakistan, India. I am afraid they seldom managed big scores. If Bazball cricket is that leathel why can't they score big runs. I guess it is more due to performances of Anderson broad duo getting through the opposition batting that got them success. India only have been a side scoring 400+ runs regularly playing conventional cricket for they have greats like Virat, rohit, pujara, ajinkya& Rishabh.
Love these 2 guys - the way they both make fun of themselves despite being 2 great cricketers and captains is what is so pleasing - v modest and down to earth - always seeking to learn - keep it up nass and mike - from an Indian
In depth analysis, great readers of the game, straight talk no beating around the bush, genuine camaraderie, banter, self deprecating humour, they click all boxes, favourite duo !!
eng bazbal doesn't have problem. they score 300+ everytime. however a strong batting opposition will neutralise it since eng bowling is not baz ball compatible. both should go hand in hand with a good batting opposition.!!
Is the batting average of Mr. Root mentioned here is before after bazball or same number of innings average played just before bazball and after? Means 40 innings played in Bazball and 40 innings before that? I guess that comparison would more sense than 100+ before and 20+ after.
I think that Root was a different player and very sound in technique before Bazball cricket.. Choice is yours either Bazball or a solid & technical and proper cricket...
I really think that this is the time where the so-called Bazball strategy will begin to be tested. England brought some of the limited overs mindset into test cricket and caught teams off guard. However, with time teams will also formulate better strategies to counter England's approach and it will show how real this hype is. I think it's not going to be easy, especially against the nations that take their test cricket seriously.
Nass is making such valid comments - neither being negative towards bazzball nor really overhyping it. but being critical about where to improve and learn

" Bazball " will never work against heavy-duty rugged test playing nations like India Australia Newzeland SA.
England needs to make " Brandon McCullam" their new white ball coach and make " Grahm Throp / Gary Kirsten/ Andy Flower/ Hashim Amla/ Kallis / ABD or Alastair Cook as their red ball format coach.
Great to see you both excellent commentators, bazball is worked for eng in first test but sometimes you hv to adapt to situation or you face heavy defeat like this in ind, bazball approach successful in eng only
England Reminds me Rahul Memes getting repeated slaps and gets ready for next😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Wonderful stuff, thank you folks. Considered, balanced, adult and humorous, what a breath of fresh air. 👍
Love to hear Mike and Nasser day 4 I started looking for there video came to see very late but love to hear more from them keep it up.
Anderson has been bowling for England since the 18th century. As per rumours he and Lord Clive went attended the same school.
Why you have not put a word for Dhruv jurel who batted reasonably well& instrumented the runout of duckett. He was good behind the stumps as well.
These two are great and such wonderful humour too!
Love these 2 guys - the way they both make fun of themselves despite being 2 great cricketers and captains is what is so pleasing - v modest and down to earth - always seeking to learn - keep it up nass and mike - from an Indian
In depth analysis, great readers of the game, straight talk no beating around the bush, genuine camaraderie, banter, self deprecating humour, they click all boxes, favourite duo !!
if we exclude the 1st test's 4th innings. bowling from England has been very poor, hasn't it? the number of full tosses, short length bowls.
eng bazbal doesn't have problem. they score 300+ everytime.
however a strong batting opposition will neutralise it since eng bowling is not baz ball compatible. both should go hand in hand with a good batting opposition.!!
Loved it!!! Honest reviews. These two gel up quite nicely.

@@grayalun his bowling doesn't work overseas either need a premium wrist spinner or a bowling all rounder at that place
Miss both together in the same Commentry box in India🇮🇳
😂😂@lordgovindgreatheart
Quite straight forward and unbiased conversation !
I prefer my proper cricket shots everyday rather than this Bazball thing..Similary, i prefer Test cricket everyday over T20.
Such an enjoyable discussion.
Classic British mickey taking between these two. They are clearly great friends as well as being great commentators on cricket.
Best podcast… very matured friends from childhood who had been there done that. Lovable bros.
McCullum must take advice or two from Athers
Excellent summing up by these two former cricketers 👍
Two gentlemen talking about cricket is absolutely treat to ear
It is always fun to listen to Nasser and Atherton and a great commentary
Great show guys...Good to listen good content from knowledgeable people...
Insightful, respectful, gracious, fun - these two are amazing.
Love these chats❤
Nass is making such valid comments - neither being negative towards bazzball nor really overhyping it. but being critical about where to improve and learn
