Perfect shade of tail light tint, half the reason I haven't tinted mine yet it because most sites are selling darked out blacked out tints rather than a smoked shade
The completely blacked out ones look like shit most of the time.
Thank you for all these walk throughs! Just did my front/rear lights & reflectors as well. Used Vvivid light Hex tint and it looks amazing. Definitely would not have been able to figure it out on my own. Thanks again!

I just completed a tail light tint on my C6 Corvette which has slightly domed shape. Because the tail lights on the Vette are recessed, I had to remove them from the car. I used a light tint using Vivid Air Release tint. Great material! It was as easy as applying Vinyl. Because of the air release channels, there are absolutely no air bubbles trapped under the film. Thanks for this, and all your videos.

Excellent video as always. Interesting to see the spectrum of price going anywhere from Vivid to Lamin-x to Oracel when it comes to headlight/tailight tint. I also prefer dry application because I never have to worry about the edges collecting solution and therefore not tacking properly.
This tint is great, not too dark like others.

Just received my smoke tint and green tint. For headlights from vivvid. Super excited to see if the hours of video have rubbed off. I’m already usually good with my hands and I have an attention to detail so I’m hoping I can make it go fairly smooth my first go at it. It came with a cheap little yellow squeegee I’m wondering if maybe I should hold off and order one like the blue one you’re using with the felt tip. I’m guessing the yellow one they sent is more for tucking in areas. Am I correct in assuming that?
I'm gonna try the light smoke, the one you did. The tail lights on my Cadillac CTS are a deep dark red so I think that's all I'll need for the look I'm going for. I hope anyway. Thanks for the video bro, I appreciate it. We'll see how it turns out.

I really like that the lighter tint is suddle enough to not get noticed to much, but still change the look of the car. My car is gun medal grey and I know what I'm doing with the tail light now. Thanks !

Love your videos bro. I tried to ti my my head lights n tail lights myself but failed miserably. I'm really getting a har d time after doing the flat surface n move around to the curve it's really hard to stretch it how it ends up with ruffles on an impossible position . Only thing I think I can try next is that I kind of angle your tin us a bit is that a key objective ? My car is a 2009 Toyota fielder .

I wish you guys were closer so I can have you do my tail lights. I have watch this video 100 of times and still cannot get it done right on my 2015 nissan murano. Those tail lights are a little tricky because of the curvature, I always end up with stretch marks. I have wasted 2 rolls of vivid film, and gave up at the end. I have not found anyone in my area who knows how to do this, I am in MD.

Can this type of film tint be removed without leaving adhesive residue on the tail lights or headlights? If so how years could the tint be left on before the adhesive residue becomes difficult to remove when removing the film tint?

Yes was just. gonna look up a how to vid be wanting to do mine forever
I used the smoked flat tint from Vvivid to match my ghost blue. I ended up ripping it off as the headlights (brights) generated enough heat to melt, or create a bubble that ended up destroying the look on that spot. So basically be aware of your lights if they create a lot of heat on your lenses.
Switch to LEDs 😀🤷🏾♂️

What does it mean if the tail light film lifts or damages the surrounding film on the car? I had this issue. When I lifted the excess film to adjust, it caused a wrinkle in the surrounding film.

Hey brother, another fantastic how to. One question I have is because the tail/headlight tint adhesive is so aggresive, when tacking it down onto a panel with existing vinyl wrap (or even paint) is there any chance that when youve trimmed the light out and are pulling the excess tint away it damages the existing wrapor paint on the panel? I mean, I worry just sticking masking tape to vinyl let alone a more aggressive film.

Also is this film capable of being stretched over the 5th gen 4runner tail lights. The 5th gen Tails are crazy with unique shapes and protrusions.
I left the scratch protector on, how do I remove it now? I spent so long trying. Blade, finger nail, screw driver metal edge, nothing is lifting it :(

Light tint still keeps the car classy unlike that completely blacked out tint
