Just saying
after that. these are my eyes(👀), as i drive home l👀kn in the rearview the whole way home, worried if any of it blew off
looks good bro! Next time i'm in town need to do my bmw lol
Jody Abbie hahaha. Bring it on
nice work!
Heya, that VViViD smoke you used, I’m wanting to use the ‘light smoke’ version.
I can only find the ‘light smoke headlight’ tint on their website... are they the same (headlight + tailight)?
Yes, they are the same film. Headlight/taillight tint.
Zack Stenstrom Thankyou
What is that on your spoiler?? By the way nice car..
where do you buy your body kits for your car?
4 minutes in and already screwed up a piece, fingerprints show up on this stuff and when you apply it you should have a big enough piece as to not have to touch the area that is bonding to the tail-light to reposition it.
Have you had problems with it peeling back? I’ve done this tiny twice in the past 5 months and it always ends up peeling back. Any tips?
Heat it up with a heat gun to I thin 170 and use a lazer temp to make sure
You're stretching it too much. Will cause peel back if it is under a lot of tension
You can use a debit/credit card as a squeegee for this, right?
Nevermind. This was one of the biggest wastes of time in my life. Tried to do this and it would not flatten out and removed and tried again and the tint ripped and had holes in it. Pfft.
Instead of taping just open the trunk for that side
Fingernails
What kind of exhaust setup do you have?
Slp loudmouth cat back
Zack Stenstrom sounds good man!!!!
@@rindershow212 thanks. It needs to be louder. Lol
Zack Stenstrom nah bro. perfect!!! Any louder would just be obnoxious. What you have now sounds like a stock srt charger/challenger and usually the Chrysler srt doesn't sound like those even with exhaust mods. But this one you have here totally mimics the exact sound. I like it!!
would a hair dryer work? lol
probably for flat surfaces, but a heat gun is best. They cost $15.
The video itself of him tinting the taillights look so easy but I know if I tried that it wouldn't come out as good just being my luck. I'll have to give it a shot anyways. Never know what you can do until you do it.
The first time I did it I wasn't good at it either. Just takes practice
@@ZackStenstrom Yes indeed.
Buy used taillights of any car to practice.Thats what I did
hope you gave it a try, i just ordered my kit to try it myself
@@jodyramsay1220 just myself a kit a minutes ago wish me luck !
Thought about doing mine but here in Snellville, Ga, I'll get a ticket for tinting my rears. I think our white cars look cool with tinted windows & taillights, makes the car stand out more. Keep them videos coming man.
ST Productions I've had blacked out taillights on almost every vehicle I've owned. I've had many tickets for it as well. Bit I do believe vehicles look better with black taillights. Especially white. I appreciate the support.
The tickets are worth it 😂😂 $90 for tint tickets I'll take it.
Bro it's stupid. Why is that law even a thing? Are they arguing that ruined lights are harder to see cause that's bullshit. In daytime ur tail light don't glow like they do at night. So you barely see the glow. But if they're tinted then the red is clear asf distinguishable from the black
What muffler or exaust is that? It sounds straight piped or muffler delete that's a beauty please let me know
Exhaust is a SLP Loudmouth cat back
Is that dark (smok black) version or (dark smoke)
Dark smoke
Awesome I’m in DFW area how much would you charge? I got 2018 Chrysler 300. Just want my tail lights done.
Hey get back with me let me know where you get that off that that tail Wing added to your tail Wing in the back spoiler what type is it I like that let me know where you got it from
Wicker Bill spoiler from ZL1addons.com
im in Dallas, tx .. do the police pull you over for this?
Why dont people ever tint the taillights with the trunk open? Why do you mask off the car first?
i tinted mine back in the day and made a huge difference. the lights were huge and red and annoying. one of the best cheapest mods u can do.
I want to do it on my 300, but I don't want some careless texter rear ending me and then THE LAW finds out I had tinted tail lights and find me liable, even though the brake light illuminates clearly. But even though you're in the right, a good lawyer will find a way to turn the tables on you.
How many rolls did you use? Amazon sells them in 16x48... I want to make sure I have enough if I mess up. How many rolls would you suggest?
Can I use a hair dryer on the hottest setting?
I’m not pro but I don’t think a hair dryer doesn’t get hot enough
Is the road legal? I’m in Michigan and want to do this. The law says something about it needing to be visible from 500 feet away which is like 3 or 4 average houses away- not far at all. So you’d think this is technically completely legal yet I seen u say cops have gave u tickets. I don’t get it
It looks awesome bro, but isn’t it illegal tinting it that dark? It is in texas though. I hope you don’t get pulled over bro.
It is. Most cops don't bother you about it. But it is a reason to,get pulled over. It's a risk I'm willing to take I suppose.
@@ZackStenstrom police love player hating
I think as long as your brake lights can be clearly seen from a distance day or night you won't get harassed.Unless the law wants to hate.
Rough start but you got it! Good stuff.
Why not open the truck?
You can. Not necessary though.
Were can I get mine tinted?
Look like Grape jelly been added to the tail lights, but that's dope great video btw🔥🔥👍🏽🙂
Which tint did u use?
Good video because you showed the difference and what it looks like with the lights on/blinking
So When I click on the link To buy the Vinyl Which Exact One Is It cause There’s different Options To Choose From & I Want the Exact One You Have on the video, someone Please Give me feedback as soon as possible.
I would freak out doing this lol
Well done hint,.. next time open the trunk from the start you will have more room and no paint scrape worries with more access to trim.
Thanks
Great video Zack!
Thank you! I appreciate you checking it out
Douse it w soap n water next time for an easier install 👊🏼
It's a dry application film 👊🏻
Windex is really good for getting it on there heat gun isn’t really needed
Have you ever tried using this material and stretched it around difficult lights without heat? Vvivid made this to act similar to vehicle wrap vinyl. I do vehicle wraps as well. It’s damn near impossible to wrap something without heat. The material is made to accept heat. But every installer has their own methods. This one way works for me.
I mean it looks like I could do it until I try lol.... is that illegal in California because I wanna do that to my 300c
The texture of that film is just terrible. I like the look 20 meters away, but looking like a rotten oranges peel up close is just sad :(
I use Luxe now. But easy solution if you dont like it. Dont use it and paint them. That how all my lights were before this film came out. But as often as i get pulled over for them I like to be able to tear it off and redo. So pros and cons.
@@ZackStenstrom I might have jumped the gun, I saw another video that claimed it cures over a week or 2, did you notice the texture becoming more clear and smooth like a normal clear coat over a few weeks time? or does it stay like that?
@@Ibanezish yes it does settle over time. Similar to window tint. If you look at my Instagram one of my most recent posts is a taillight shot.
Is this legal in Massachusetts or any other states? Not tryna get pulled over
I’m going to try it on my 2011 Nissan Sentra. If it comes out crappy I’ll take u my 16’ 300 and the Sentra lol.
I live in Fort Worth. If I get all necessary things what’s the cost for you to tint my tail lights?
More content with the 300 ✊🏾✊🏾 I love it
James Kennedy and more to come. I’m going to document the build.
How much would you charge I’m in Fort Worth
how long does the tint last? how durable is it? and is it car wash safe? :)
What percentage is that tent
Dark smoke, dark black or smoke black on Amazon? Which one exactly
Dark black is the darkest one
I don't have a heat gun, can I use a hairdryer?
Nope. It won’t get hot enough. Go to harbor freight. They are like $10
Lowe's got heat guns
Great job! Hope when I try to do this it will come out decent as well. Will a hairdryer generate enough heat or do you definitely need a heat gun?
Are your headlights the same?
Came out nice 👍🏾
Thanks bro. I gotta get back into wrapping. I miss it.
WhT exhaust you running?
Any reason you don't remove the tail light altogether, or at least open the trunk? Wouldn't it make your life a little easier?
Removing the light gives you less stability. Especially since you are pulling on it
Water would help a lot
What percent is it?
Good video I just got my kit in for my 300 I'm gonna try to install it this evening! 👍
HEMI JOHN what kit did you get?
Zack Stenstrom It's a kit from( Slick Mod LLC)
Never heard of them. I’ll have to look into it. Let me know how the material is to work with.
Zack Stenstrom I'll be sure to let you know if there product is good or junk.
Thanks. I’m always looking for good products to use
wait!! lift the tint back up!! i see a small bubble in the middle near corner left side lol
That's the reflection
Great video.Im going to try and do mine myself. Looks pretty easy
It’ll take some practice. But anyone can do it.
you got balls saying that lol
@@juniorking6810 tint a set of 300 taillights. They might go through alot of material. But eventually most people would get it done. These taillights are pretty simple.
I have a 2016 Toyota Camry. So far I did the two that go in the trunk. Those have my reverse lights in them.I used the matt black on mine and it turned out pretty good. The tint is about as dark as the tint you have on your car.I ordered some LED Tailight bulbs so when I get them I'll do the other two.It wasn't as bad as I thought. Thanks for the DIY video. You've gained a new subscriber!
@@micayiah1 I'm glad to hear that it helped you out. I appreciate the feedback. I've been considering doing more DIY videos. I love the appearance of tinted taillights, but I agree with you getting leds. It helps a lot. Let me know if I can help with anything else. Or other videos that might be helpful.
Does it come with two tinted stickers? When you order it ?
Yea they come with two for both lights
It’s not easy just saying
With practice it gets easier
@@ZackStenstrom be real ain't nobody trying do this more than once
Did you do both with one 16” 48” roll?
Was that smoke black or dark black?
What exhaust setup do you have
Someone told me that this was illegal in the TExas. Is that true?
It is.
Bravo 👏👏👏
Also why didn’t you apply w wet substance before hand and how dark is this one exactly so I know which one to buy
TMG JumpShot gaming it can brown the lights
Mopar 300 S what
Does anyone know if doing this is legal in Illinois ? Specifically Chicago ?
Yo dude, sick job on the tint. What are your thoughts on using that for you headlights?
