my bub's 18 months now, and im only just realising how crazy it is for us to try and say if being a mum is "worth it", when we're literally in the trenches and have only experienced like .01% of it 😅 it's like asking someone with a new puppy that is shitting everywhere and crying if having a dog is fun 😂 it gets SO MUCH better, and my baby's still only a baby really!

My baby is a couple months older than Annie and I’m planning to put a few of her existing toys in her Christmas stocking.
I had my little guy in September and constantly am going through the ups and downs of new parenthood. These vlogs during your pregnancy and now in your journey of being a parent have been extremely helpful to me. I feel like we’re going through a lot of the same things and knowing that I’m not alone in some of my feelings is beyond amazing. Sometimes I feel guilty having sad feelings because I should be so happy and grateful. But some very important people in my life reminded me that those emotions are not exclusive. I can be sad for the loss of my old life and be so incredibly happy and grateful for my little bean.

You are an awesome mom! There is nothing wrong with no gifts for a first Xmas. She really won't even notice. Heck, I was surprised you actually were planning to walk around the first year with her for Halloween. For 1st Halloween it's fun to dress up and visit family or take pics for family and friends but I'll never understand why anyone would expect a new parent so young to go out for Halloween.
