You realize that your son has to take antipsychotics right? In schzophrenia you have to and I mean it you have to take antipsychotics,things like CBT wont help if the patient is experiencing psycotic symptoms,take him to a psychiatrist right away

It would give you an income (not a lot but just enough) so if something happens to your parents you'll have money to survive on. Look into it, Ok? It is provided through the Social Security office. I'm on it and I make like $930 a month. You could rent a room or something with the money. Hope that helps.
sometimes we forget that it's fine to be sad. It's not a BAD thing, it helps us navigate life on our own terms just like every other emotion. If talking about how you feel helps you in any way, and I know it helps me, then I hope you never stop.
I got love for you brother..I got schizophrenia too and if I don’t take my zyprexa I lose my head..but it’s like elephant tranquilizer and it really puts me down. dont lose hope and try prayer..it helps for me. Also, find a good outlet to avoid those demons..mine is making music..that’s how I escape. I used to get really angry with the delusions but today I just try to breathe and pray for the anger to go way and it actually goes away. Your very brave! I wish I was brave enough to make videos..I’m gonna try but my schizophrenia makes me think everyone hates me..you know how it is..you hear people around you saying things that they never actually said..I used to get violent from that..today I just let it go..keep the faith..your gonna make it..we all are someday..

Wow is a life saver, I don't know what I would have done without it. I have Schizophrenia also, and I wonder the same as you what to do with my life, I raised 2 children with the illness and well I made it, my daughter is 25 now and my son is 22, don't you worry for the future it will unfold as you go, there is help out there for housing and work for us. I'm too old now to work and I have gone without work for 12 years now. I've missed catching up with your channel, so glad your still on. Hopefully, one day, as more people are willing to have a conversation about mental illness, society as a whole won't be so stigmatized about it. And some real improvements can be made. (Also money needs to stop being the driving factor of drug developent) I think you do more than serve as help for others with mental illness, that watch you. You are one of the faces of schizophrenia that no one usually associates with the illness -- you're good-looking, articulate, and aware of your condition. I think that's very important for people to see and hear. I wish you could be seen & heard by more people. And, sometimes, unfortunately when people are stigmatized, it doesn't matter what they see or hear -- they're still in denial or scared or just plain bigoted. We live in a world where people are still stigmatized by ADHD & will even say it doesn't exist. Or people will say that someone's "bi-polar" if they're moody or snippy. Yeah, we have a long way to go.
i`m the same way, everything you said. i like being alone. i can`t stand being around people anymore. but i wouldn`t mind hanging out and talking with you. i don`t take meds. i tried em but i could still hear the voices. so i thought what`s the point. so i just deal with it. i get pretty crazy and i still do. sometimes i wish i did keep taking meds. not sure which is better. just don`t like the idea of having to take that shit for the rest of my life. and sometimes it just feels good to go crazy and let it all out just as long as you don`t wind up in an institution or in jail.

America is known for over-medicating its people, in most countries that doesn't happen. It's sad that healthcare over there is so shit. The only good thing about it is that there's barely any waiting list. In Europe you have to wait months-years to get mental health help.
More and more this country is less of a place to live and more of a soulless conglomerate that works people to the bone then extracts whatever is left through ever increasing cost of living. Europe has its problems but America's days have come and gone.
You shouldn't worry about the future because it doesn't exist. We only have the present, no point in stressing about something that doesn't exist yet. Live your life as if it was your last moment. Keep your head up brother.
Treatment for schizophrenia is an endless search for good drugs and a good doctor. Because there are no good medications for schizophrenia. You need only rely on your mind and your willpower. Over time, you come to experience different mental states and it is quite possible to learn to distinguish your normal thoughts and feelings from abnormal ones.
Yes dude! World of Warcraft is my most favourite game of all time. Been playing since TBC and it's really helped me through some dark times. Being able to immerse myself in the world helps to shut off hallucinations. I only really play druid on classic since it came out but once the shadowlands prepatch hits on EU I'm going back to main disc priest. What class do you play?

You are 24 and you are worried about your future - have you considered get yourself a hobby of some sort that (in theory) can be turned in professional activity? UA-cam has everything you to start with. WoW is nice and everything but it's a waste of life mode you are in now (not a bad thing for couple of months tho) :) Cheers man!

I have schizophrenia and the thing that has helped me most is ECT, it has helped me with the depression that comes with schizophrenia.

Antipsychotics are bad, Seroquel is the worse, it gives me terrible Restless Leg Syndrome.
I've had bad experiences with them as well.
ask your doctor about procyclidine, i get really bad tremors and that helps stop it.
