Some creators searching for monitors will look at these and think : these are the ones

Wow, the smaller model looks like the perfect size for me. Can't wait to hear 'em!
p.s. A part of me was a little surprised during the flyover shot at 5:48 to see the roof devoid of PV panels.

"the first loud speaker that works in any orientation" i believe this, makes me remember seeing strange and funny ideas people get laying 2 way speakers on there sides

My problem is I have a couple of Mission pro sm6a that have been fantastic monitors but the pots in the volume are now very buzzy and there's a weird 50hz hum on both of them that I can't isolate even on balanced cables. I probably only need a service on my desk or those monitors. But I always wanted genelecs. I'll buy these and it won't solve my problem I bet.
    It will solve one problem.
    I'll have genelecs.
    :-)
I hope they are better than my SM6As. They were awesome.
lasted over 15 years and were still functional now. Albeit a bit temperamental.
    Luv and Peace.

I know they are studio monitors. But could you use them just like normal speakers. Listening to CDs etc.. Big thanks..

If you want a highly analytical sound yes. Though that sound is not always enjoyable for entertainment.

@@alancrome3684 - "If you want a highly analytical sound yes. Though that sound is not always enjoyable for entertainment."
That statement is not completely false, but it’s misleading, and promotes a common misconception. In the context of hi-fi equipment, there's no such thing as "analytical sound". There's only neutral or distorted sound. Genelecs sound neutral, which means that they sound hardly anything at all, which of course is a desirable thing. When you listen to a recording that was created with instruments and voices that sound beautiful (or otherwise to your liking), and if that recording was made by people and equipment that can capture that beauty, your Genelecs will play back that beauty as it originally was. On the other hand, if the sound of the recording for some reason isn't pleasing, your Genelecs won't beautify the sound in any way.
The task of a speaker is to reproduce sound, not to have a sound. Sound is for instruments, singers and recordings, not speakers. Unless your music collection happens to consist of only one type of music that was recorded exactly the same way, you can't correct the sound problems of your recordings by choosing a different speaker. Use a mixer or a sound processor instead (it can be software based). That way you don't only save money, but you can also target the actual problems instead of applying the same change to every recording, whether it needs it or not.
If you want a high-quality sound system, you want speakers that don't have a sound.

Reference monitors are generally very 'honest'. Not everyone appreciates honesty. As we all know life would be almost impossible without the constant reliance on 'white lies'. "Do you like my new hair style?" .... "Um...... yeah ..... look ......... just wait a sec .... before I answer let me I put away my reference monitor".

These are not a true Co-Axial, @Genelec - If you are using a 4 way system, with a tweeter and midrange on centre combined, but use your ACW - 2 “Woofers” top and bottom that would make theses a multi component system. A true co-axial would have tweeter/midrange and woofer all in one. I digress. The marketing is strong @genelec - Don’t get me started on the 2x6” oblong “woofers” (Genelec obviously did not want accurate sound reproduction) Compromises were made. Marketing now has to sell the compromise to the buying public. Be honest Genelec. We are not all “sheeple”

Interesting however your woofers “still” do not radiate from a single point. They radiate from multiple points from the same enclosure. Top/bottom or side/side depending on speaker orientation. (This configuration is still four drivers in one enclosure vs one coaxial driver as advertised)

It's a bit complicated for my tiny little mind :) - but all I need to know is that Amir from Audio Science Review raved about these speakers. That's good enough for me. If I cant find as good at a cheaper price - then these will be my next and possibly my last speaker purchase.
