My hips a of those are easy stretches the only way I ever get the pop is when standing and turning My foot inward and getting a pop on the groin side of the hip then lean forward slightly balancing on the turned leg helps ease my sciatic pain though it is the inside popping

I've just been suffering with a locked hip for the past 2 hrs. Did ur sit down on chair and lean forward and after about 4 mins of doing it I've just got the biggest pop ever. I can walk again. But sore and tender from me throwing myself around before watching this video but I'll live lol. Thank you my friend for your video :) xxx love love xxxx
You are a miracle worker! I've been in pain for over a month...nonstop. this helped me so much! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!! You are the best!! Thank you!!!
Dear Dr. Rowe, I have been able to nicely compliment my weekly physical therapy with the help you provide from a lot of your videos. I have ankylosing spondylitis so for me, movement and stretching is key to staying off pain meds. I really, really appreciate the time and effort you take demonstrating how to do the stretches and providing multiple ways to do them as well as explain them. Thank you so much, so very very much. For making these videos and sharing them!

I just discovered your channel 3 days ago, I am very surprised how much you have the art of offering often unknown exercises with formidable efficiency. Your presentation is educational, your speech is fluid and understandable, however, a little too fast for me who do not have English as a mother tongue. From Asia, thank you a thousand times, you have already succeeded in a flash in freeing me from low back pain via the "psoas cobra" "shins stuck" against the wall. My standing posture has never been so correct.
Dear Doc, The exercise you do on the chair in this video is really hard for me and makes me feel a bit queasy so I’m doing less of them to start with and with considerably less stretch than you have in your hips. It’s definitely the area I’m struggling with, on my left leg particularly. I’m enjoying giving the exercises a go and feeling a little more flexible each day. I’ve noticed vastly more mobility in my right hip than I have in my left. Thank you for putting these exercises online. They are a great help.
Woo hoo! As a long distance runner my hips take a beating. Your butterfly smash worked immediately to release my left hip. Your videos are going to become my go to for sure before heading to the chiropractor. (I won’t tell.). Thanks so much. 😎
I've watched a few videos like this but wasn't able to quite understand how to do the exercises. You do an incredible job at explaining and demonstrating, and I was even able to finally get my hips/back to pop a little. The relief feels amazing already an I'm definitely going to watch this daily and do the stretches until I'm completely healed. Thank you so much!! This saved me so much time and money!! ⏰ 💰 ❤️
OMGosh! My hip has been locked up for months since I was in the hospital with COVID. What helped the most was the broom handle method and the resistance band method. Thank you!!!
I’m amazed!! I’ve had so much back pain and have avoided going anywhere because long Covid and exhausted all the time. These stretches gave me the most relief in a really time. Thanks!!
Your techniques are a huge lifesaver for me. I have trouble with an SI joint issue that shifts and causes me terrible discomfort. I learned a technique where you squat down to the point where your backside is close to the ground. In this position you use your arms to attempt to pull each knee away from the other. Your using your inner thigh muscles to keep your knees together, while using your hands to pull them apart. This causes a stuck SI joint to release.
Thanks for the heads up. I like to save your helpful videos so I can easily find them. Plz keep posting the links in the comments. Your stretches are so effective and provide me with the relief I'm desperately needing. ❤

2:40 I immediately heard a loud pop in my left hip when going down just once. I didn't have any pain in it but it felt locked so much that I couldn't do certain exercises on that side because it just wouldn't move enough. It's been a few days now and it's still in place. Thanks!

Thanks for your videos! These are really helpful and I feel the hip joint is the source my episodic hip problem. I went to a really good chiropractor who on the third visit (and I'm so glad I sent to all three) pulled on my shorter leg and it gave me immediate relief. It was really a eureka moment on where the back/hip discomfort was coming from. Until that release, I felt like I wasn't sitting on my "sitting bones" if that makes sense.
Hello Dr. Rowe, I was wondering if you know of more stretches that work for people that are very flexible? I am a dancer and don't feel a stretch when trying many of these if they aren't like the hands pushing out/knees in movement and band tension. I have persistent right hip pain and pressure between my hips. Thanks for your content, cheers!
A modified version for flexible/hyper mobile people would be awesome! I’ve been a dancer for 16 years with very hyper mobile hip flexors. Hard to press my knees down on the first stretch when they are already completely flat to the ground .
Hi i got EDS and my hips always hurt but these stretches do work, just add a harder resistance band or make the stretch more adjusted to your range of motion
Thank you so much when I started doing these exercises my lower back and my hip pain started to go away little by little even more so when I heard it pop. I was afraid it wouldn't go away. So thank you.

Thank you so much. My hip was hurting for almost 2 weeks. I went to the Urgent Care and got a shot for pain and pills to take to help. I came to your video and did the stretches last night and the PAIN IS GONE. THANK YOU SO MUCH😍
Glad you found the video, and thanks for watching!
Felt some discomfort in my right hip and the hip smasher made it feel better thanks man!
Glad you’re getting relief!
This would be a blessing to know
A modified version for flexible/hyper mobile people would be awesome! I’ve been a dancer for 16 years with very hyper mobile hip flexors. Hard to press my knees down on the first stretch when they are already completely flat to the ground .
Same I feel like this isn’t doing anything
Just add some umpft to the stretch make it your thing, just know this should always be done mindfully 💭
Hi i got EDS and my hips always hurt but these stretches do work, just add a harder resistance band or make the stretch more adjusted to your range of motion
subscribing and following. great tips and relief at home.
Thanks for the sub!

These are fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing. Are all of these exercises safe if you have hip dysplasia?
Man thank you so much!! I didn’t get my hip to pop but the pain subsided! I was in agonizing pain a few moments ago, thanks a bunch!
Glad it helped!
