My hips a of those are easy stretches the only way I ever get the pop is when standing and turning
My foot inward and getting a pop on the groin side of the hip then lean forward slightly balancing on the turned leg helps ease my sciatic pain though it is the inside popping

@@andreagarza4696 your body is probably very damaged. It is understandable. I would truly very seriously recommend beginning yoga. With people who aren't about the corporate yoga image, and be sure it feels right. The person teaching you should make you realize things after you've begun doing yoga. Not easily explained. While there is a great amount of nonphysical impact from yoga (see: brain injury patient work), the physical impacts of yoga are slow, but not that slow if you're in deep need of repair- and they are noticable and real. Nothing else can replace it and there is no short cut. You'll suffer until you do it. It is angering living that way. Try. It will be worth leaving that behind. Remember to "know" when you're taking yoga from the right people.

    Dear Doc,
The exercise you do on the chair in this video is really hard for me and makes me feel a bit queasy so I’m doing less of them to start with and with considerably less stretch than you have in your hips. It’s definitely the area I’m struggling with, on my left leg particularly. I’m enjoying giving the exercises a go and feeling a little more flexible each day. I’ve noticed vastly more mobility in my right hip than I have in my left.
Thank you for putting these exercises online. They are a great help.

Your techniques are a huge lifesaver for
me. I have trouble with an SI joint issue that shifts and causes me terrible discomfort. I learned a technique where you squat down to the point where your backside is close to the ground. In this position you use your arms to attempt to pull each knee away from the other. Your using your inner thigh muscles to keep your knees together, while using your hands to pull them apart. This causes a stuck SI joint to release.

I went to a really good chiropractor who on the third visit (and I'm so glad I sent to all three) pulled on my shorter leg and it gave me immediate relief. 2:40 I immediately heard a loud pop in my left hip when going down just once. I didn't have any pain in it but it felt locked so much that I couldn't do certain exercises on that side because it just wouldn't move enough. It's been a few days now and it's still in place. Thanks!

Thanks for this. I've been following your tips for a while. I'm a great believer in self-help; but only with the correct knowledge, which you gratefully supply for free. I realise i've had a tight periformis for years - but the stick exercises in this video for hip rotation have greatly freed up my lower back ! Thanks from England, UK

I look forward to trying these, as I have tight hips and drive heavy equipment for a living, so I sit lengthy periods unable to stretch.
My question is how this might affect my left hip that's been replaced, seeing that there's no joint that gives?
I have such limited range on my hips and ankles that I can't do the inward rotation with the stick. The stick won't stay at the bridge of the foot
