This is exactly what happened to my wife in Hanoi over a year ago. She hired a company to submit her DS-160 in an attempt to come see me during the pandemic while her spousal visa was being processed. She did this because she doesn't speak English and figured it would be the better choice. Fast forward to 8 months ago when her case was approved by USCIS and now my attorney has been waiting 4 MONTHS for a FOIA request to make certain her DS-260 matches up to the copy of her DS-160 when submitting to the National VISA center. This has gotten so destructive to our marriage that I got congressman Jim Jordan's office involved for this FOIA request last week. I'm no expert in this field but it's quite clear to me that our immigration system is broken. It seems to punish those of us who respect the steps and procedures. Hi ben, I'm really enjoying looking for your videos as it's my first time. I got refused this weekend and wants to reapply this week. Can I change my sponsor from self sponsorship to parent? Thankyou.
I have a question: I am a former PR and a current citizen of the U.S. My parents and the only sibling live in my homeland country (HC). The officer automatically rejected my sibling's visa because of me being a U.S. national twice. How can we avoid this ? It is very unfair to have the doors closed on you because of your family member. I feel horrible that my status here is preventing my sister doing her masters in the U.S. She got the offer from a very good school and the HC government may sponsor her financially with the condition that she will have to come back right after graduation and work for the government for 5 years. I am hoping that this agreement between my sis and HC government would help as an evidence of strong ties to her homeland. Would appreciate your insights. It is very unfair she was not even asked anything about her education, plans or dreams- just DS160 question- do you have a family member who is PR or Citizen? Yes- who ? Sister-REJECTED!

Hello Ben, My husband has a tourist visa interview in two weeks in Trinidad and Tobago. He is a 3rd country national (Venezuelan) in the process of permanent residency here since 2018. He was refused the first time in 2020 to go up for a family trip/my mom's memorial. I am a dual citizen of the US and T&T and we live in Tobago with our 1 year old. My question is about changing information on a DS-160. He wrote that we plan on also visiting Mexico and Colombia where it asked what other countries we plan on visiting on the trip. Since that intention has changed, is it possible or advisable to edit the application to change that to no other countries or should he spend any time bringing that up if it's not asked? Also, he wrote that he has relatives in the US, but was referring to the family I have there as we thought that was something that would look good for his case, but came to find out that it doesn't actually look good to have family in the US as a b1/b2 applicant. Would you advise him mentioning that those relatives are just mine through marriage? We recently had a 45 minute consultation with an Argo officer , but these questions have popped up now, so I'm hoping you can answer them here. Thank you!

Would the VO think I’m inconsistent?
Hi Ben,

2. Will the fact that my income is solely through veterans disability and social security (non taxable) going to be an issue ? I am a military veteran and in medical school (full time).

Yes- who ? Sister-REJECTED!
for the section asking if i have traveled to any country or regions which countries should I list. I am an Indian citizen and applying it from Canada so should I list Canada or not traveled to any country. ??

Hello Ben, I have refused in the US embassy in Abu Dhabi for F1 visa. Then, I have filled another DS-160 but, Unfortunately, I didn’t find any appointments available in UAE. So, I decided to change the country of the appointment. Do you recommend to fill a new DS-160 or apply with the one that I filled after the refusal? because I have read that the changing of the country will delay the process and my semester will start after just 20 days
An organization is paying for my B1/B2 trip, but I filled the trip paid by me during the application. Does it affect my visa during the interview?
I have a question Ben, I had before USA Visa, which already expired 2022. Almost a year back. The thing is I have got my Visa but NEVER traveled into the USA. 2012-2022 a 10 year Visa which I didn't use. Now I would like to renew Visa online. Will that be a problem since I didn't entered the USA before with the Visa I got. Thanks in advance

Hello Ben,
My husband has a tourist visa interview in two weeks in Trinidad and Tobago.
Thank you!
Thank you guys
Thanks for the feedback!
