    Also don't forget to shut the shutter speed to 1/48. A ND filter might be needed to control the exposure.

    Thanks for the great tut Ryan. I have one question in regards to recording in 4K FLAT or LOG and slow motion. Considering you can’t record 120 FPS in 4K or in a desaturated form, when colour grading in post, you want to more or less colour grade close to your slow motion colour or that slow motion shot will simply stand out from the rest? I’m talking only about mobile recoding. Thanks!

    • @RyanCampFilms
      @RyanCampFilms  4 роки тому +3

      Hi, Conrad! This is a very great question, and a problem that I'm sure a lot of us run into. I guess it really depends on your skill level as a colorist. If you can pull off a match, and match up with the slow mo shots, then I say go for it. For me. If you are putting together a project that has a lot of slow motion B-Roll, it may be best and less work to just shoot the regular footage in a natural profile to match. Especially, if you are looking for a quick turnaround time. You can also try to use Adobe Color Match in Lumetri. The results can be hit-or-miss, but it might get you close. Here is a tutorial I made on that subject: ua-cam.com/video/TxVwv5smNoE/v-deo.html
      Let me know how it turns out for you! Hope I was able to help.

Please suggest some lighting tips to shoot at night to get the best quality footage. • @RyanCampFilms
      @RyanCampFilms  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks, Josh! Light is always going to be a bit tougher to nail when you're shooting with a phone. I always have to use way more light than I think I will need when I'm trying to get a dark shot and then I'll have to darken it in post. The main key is having plenty of light to work with and making sure that you have your iso settings locked, so things aren't changing on you as you move.

      Cinematic mode looks cool, and you can get some great results with it. A video camera app like Blackmagic is going to give you more control, but it will take some learning to get the best results. If it’s your first film, I’d recommend just using cinematic mode. You can also try shooting the same scene with both and see what looks best to you.

    • @RyanCampFilms

      Could be a codec issue. Try converting your files to mp4 once you get them to your computer. Let me know how it goes!

      @dogukansayn8845 3 роки тому

      yes i started using codec but all videos are otomatically mov files now. (i guess because iphone) at least quality is good now but if i want to edit i have to change to mp4 from mov and that took long time
