- In this video, an excerpt from his DVD Handbuilding with Mitch Lyons, Mitch demonstrates making a seamless cylindrical form using a series of dowel rods in graduated sizes to hollow out the center. It is a great technique for handbuilding cylinders because you can really do a lot with surface texture, as Mitch demonstrates.
you make it look so easy but it takes years of practice to master those pressures, great technique, thank you xxx
Thank you for creating this video that is so instructional, and how to make a "broomstick vase." I've never seen this technique before. Much appreciated!

I love your job. It's great. I wish you success
I've been doing pottery as an amateur hobbyist since 1982 I have never seen this technique it would it is fantastic I don't do wheel work as I believe it's too restrictive that's why I always hand built. This has given me a great idea and open my mind what type of timber are you using to roll out your clay
Superbe travail Magnifique travail manuelle 👍

КРАСИВО!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
woww
Why not use a rolling pin? Not rude - just curious! ;)
When you need bigger dowels, you can use PVC pipes instead of the cardboard ones you're using... It's sturdier than the cardboard ones and they last forever! ;)
I would think PVC piping would work well.
good point
+ronnet sonnet by putting Vaseline it might not
Hola
