thank you very much Jessica. Thank you taught me so much. I discovered a new you. Imagine being on the hospital bed (due to leukemia), and looking at your channel and wishing that one day, with his friend, he could have such a workshop and such a teacher.
You have a very light & fun way of teaching. I love it! I started in Ceramics as a teacher in the mid 70"s. I'm so happy to see you doing UA-cam videos to keep this art thriving & growing! Thanks!
Thank you so much for your generous teaching. You are very inspirational and gifted. I love the way you blend your military life with beautiful, natural, whimsical elements.
Hi Jess! This is the first time I noticed you are an AF veteran! Thank you for your service! My husband is a retired AF medic and I'm retired Army! I initially began learning pottery at our craft shop, here at Ft. Huachuca! Anyway, I appreciate your videos, because I'm working on my own home studio a lot more, so that I can do more work at home! Thank you!
I'm working on a grueling paper for a special certification. When I need a break, I go to one of your videos. Their informational, pleasant, and relaxing. Maybe one day I'll actually get some clay and do something. So thanks.
Thanks for sharing. You do a great job of breaking things down and explaining all the different pieces of the process. I also love the templates ideas. I'll be looking forward to other videos.
My son and really enjoyed your video- he's 8 and we homeschool and we are starting to do ceramics but neither of us know ANYTHING lol so we need starter videos like this- thanks so much! We both enjoyed your teaching style- very personable and down to earth- felt like we were in a real class, which I love!
You are a natural at exposition. Television and movie execs call that gift "Q", it is something special that cannot easily be defined, but people know it when they see it. ☺
Thank you, Jessica, for no music; a clear view of what is being done; no arbitrary point-of-view changes; excellent enunciation; making good use of used materials; a pleasant demeanor; funny little quips; suggestions for alternative methods and materials; and staying on point and in context. This is how instructional videos should be made. I would like tapered edges. How to do that? Chamfering the edge of the pressing-disk would reduce, if not eliminate, the line left on the plate. Or, just use a plain disk sized to fit the cups that will be used with the saucers. Your facial expressions are delightful! Altogether good work.
Thank you very much :) I enjoyed that you did NOT have music. You did a Great job of showing and explaining to us how you make your items. I like your work :)
Fantastic! I have always wanted to make plates but I am totally a hand builder. Thank you so much for presenting this video. It was clear, succinct and fun. You just widened my skills, a bundle. I'll look for your website next.
You are a great teacher. I love your video. You are very thorough in showing how things work. Love it very much. Thanks for taking the time to teach us. I am new to pottery.
I am just starting to create ceramics. You make it easy to understand the how. And I appreciate your creative use of everyday objects. Based on your pressing technique, I look forward to using it once I master the basics.
Loved your video! Love that it has NO music! It makes easier to hear with no distractions! Love the new format as well. Just met you at 2019 Claytopia. I bought my daughter a Brent wheel. I am so excited because she wants me to get involved and I can do this part & she can throw. What a team effort! She makes the cups , I make the saucers! 😁😀 Great video & we will look forward to watching more! May God bless you as you have blessed us!
I love your videos! I have watched this one several times and still get new ideas from it. Your personality really comes through and it's like taking a personal class with you. Thanks !
Just started trying the slab roller and I just found your videos. This was excellent and I cannot wait to try making some of these! Thank you for posting - your videos are great!
Great video love your studio....i love pottery UA-cam videos I made plates in paper plates....they have to be very firm paper or card plates it was so easy and I made tons
Had to comment...the wood disk you’re using looks like it should be a jar lid and that makes me think that many other jar lids would be great... thanks for inspiring me to think outside the box. My daughter-in-law just shared with me that she used a fruit net for a design... like you might get lemons in. I’m going to try it.
This is my first time on your channel and im blessed !! I love how detailed your explanation is and how fun you are while explaining things which is great and not boring and at the same time i learned a lot more than tons of other videos that i've watched.. You're very generous in your demonstrations !!
You are amazing, and what an inspiration! I will share your video with other wanna-be potters and a couple of real ones, too lol. I thought I would also share something with you - Just a little true story regarding clay. I work at a school and one of the classes I am in is a pottery class. I took pottery many years ago, when I was in a similar class in high school. When the head teacher of the class was ill, the sub was my high school pottery teacher! I cannot tell you how incredible it was to be taken back to a much younger state of mind, lol. Needless to say, I cried when he made a bowl for me as a gift. I know it's a rather dorky little story, but I thought you might like it :-). Watching you and your friendly and cheerful style is delightful and really appreciated. Thank you so much!

I'm glad you didn't have music in the background. Sometimes I can't understand exactly what the videographer is saying because of too loud music.
Couldnt agree more....
reecee'spieces101 I completely understand that. Without the music it creates a more focused teaching environment!
Yes, no background music. I can concentrate better.
I’m sure you have videos on decorating pieces. If not, do some please.
EXELENTE!!!!!!
