I can do vibrato but if i vibrate on a note, and if its in or near the end of the stroke, i.e, near the frog, with 6 inches of bow left I lock up. How long until I develop independence of the left and right hand when doing vibrato?
My first experience in fingering left me with an intense pain along the inside my thumb to the thumb pad. I tried to maintain the thumb & middle finger position but found that a more natural position with my thumb behind the first finger took the strain/pain away.
Love your approach to teaching vibrato, I'll definitely take it on board, thank you.
Absolutely loving your comment about placement of the thumb.
Great explanation!
Thank you

Another way of producing a fourth dinger vibrato is to play fourth finger with 3 and 4. This adds stability to your vibrato
