Too many people drinking the Haterade. You just keep being you Derek! There are thousands of us that appreciate everything you do for car culture and your sacrifices! 🤜🤛
It's sad so many haters complain. Such a great guy with a wonderful family. Most people would be tickled pink just to win something 1/4 as nice as your builds. A guy just has to keep on keeping on, and know the majority appreciate him and what he does. I know I'd give an arm and leg to live your life. Great work Derek!
Thank You Derek. Life gets crazy, and down right HARD sometimes. Not many things in this world that I can count on...But one of which is being able to sit down and enjoy a good clean video made By Vice Grip Garage. Been watching you since Day 1. Sad to see Roadworthy Rescues get cancelled. Their loss. But honestly, true fans started here and remain here. Thank You Derek & Family.

You just can't do nothing nice nowadays! Derek if a fella is giving something away, do it the way you want!!! I'm 47 and was a mechanic till last July when I lost my vision. I still watch every Friday night with my kids and they describe what everything looks like. Thank you for giving me and my family memories of what I love.
Damn man I'm sorry to hear that! My mom is nearly blind and it's tough seeing someone you love go through that. Thank the Lord for your family, God bless man and hang in there!
Derek, I can't tell you enough, about how much I enjoy watching your show, this Nova upgrade sure brings a lot of good memories, I'm a Vietnam vet, and back in the day I had a hand or two in building a couple of old hotrods, I always enjoyed running the streets and running thru the gears, like music, you do really good work. thank you, Charles Roberts
Its nice for Derek to get something clean every so often. Im sure he wants a break from Rat poop, rusted out floors,no brakes, gunked out fuel tanks, flavored aromas,no heat, no A/C, and stuck engines. Although watching those things makes me watch this channel its also nice to know im not alone in the arduous world of outside old rigs repairs. Cheers VGG someone had to say it.
This vid reminded me of a feller I knew, a Toyota dealer mechanic, who restored an old British sports car. I forget the brand, but he said every single wire on the thing was the same color. That musta been fun to work on. (You know the old joke about what they used to call Lucas? The Prince of Darkness.)
Brother, you could give some folks a thousand dollars and they'd complain about the denomination it was in. I'm just happy you continue to entertain us week in and week out. Thank you!
Thank you Derek for this generous build you're giving away. I'm sorry for the arrogant, rude and ungrateful people who would rather complain about things then compliment your efforts. You're doing a kind thing for someone out there. Keep up the good work, it is appreciated by most.
Derek and Family. Sincerely! Thank you for thinking enough of your fans to give away this beautiful Nova, plus cash. Even more, thanks for the donation of your time which is something you have precious little of. Anyone should be proud and happy with this. For those critical of the car or the parts etc , hopefully you don't win it. For the rest of us, good luck, but sorry I'm pretty sure I already have the winning entry 😉
Like 99.9987854% of the VGG community i support Derek and his efforts in providing all of us an opportunity to be apart of his great success. This give away is a party to be celebrated.
Absolutely love this car. My mom died recently and when you posted your first video it triggered so many old memories for me. I grew up with my Mom driving a green two door 72 nova. Thank you for unlocking all those old memories of me riding with my mom. 😊
Boo the haters!! You and the wife and Bently demonstrated the 1st EVER, start to finish harness installation, that I've ever watched. Knowledge is priceless. Thanks for what you do
People are actually complaining about the car ? .... ITS A FREE GIVEAWAY who cares if it's 100% perfect .... have you even watched an episode ... ITS WHAT WE ARE HERE FOR .... saving the beaters from the scrap yards .... and this is one of the nicest cars in any of the videos ..... thanks for all you do Derek don't pay the haters any mind
That is a car 95% of people would be proud to drive, and someone is going to get it for maybe the price of a sticker or keychain is pretty amazing. Derek and Jessica it is awesome that you can and do this for us fans.
Live nearby in TN happy to come paint correct and ceramic coat the Nova for free. Just a guy who loves it as a hobby, been doing my personal cars for years. That plant will pop with a correction and coating
The nova looks awesome, reminds me of the one my folks had when I was a little tyke. My boys have it in their heads that we are winning this car but I am doing my best to keep them planted in reality. You are definitely an asset to the car loving community!
Derek…I had an old Nova SS back in the day. I appreciate the opportunity along with the rest of these fellers and felletts to have a chance to win this rig. Thanks man. Appreciate you and the family. 👍🏼
It's a beautiful car. Much respect for your hard work brother. You're a good dude and we are all fortunate to be able to join you while you save vehicles for future generations.
I lost my little boy Brody to the big C in May, he was 9. Seeing you get to work with Bentley and your other kids brings a big smile to my face, i would have loved to have got that opportunity. Great car someone will be well pleased when they get the keys.
Derek the master getting things done and making the new wiring harness much neater than the old mess. Parts are always a problem and hold up these builds! Good video Derek and a guy is doing justice to this '68 Camero!
im 56 yrs old my father passed 2 yrs ago on dec. 2nd @ 80n yrs old thank you for putting out your content !!!! you and yours i hope you all have a wonderful turkey day and thank our four fathers .....;;;;
Just placed my order for a chance at this beautiful vehicle. Wheels stock Yenko style. Y'all know some people are only happy when unhappy sad. Thank y'all for sharing. All y'all have a blessed week.
I had a 72 Nova back in the late 1980's and that is the one car I wished I could get back. To win this one would be beyond amazing. My brother and I are huge fans and have a game with who can use more of Dereks sayings in one day. LOL. Love the knowledge and the comedy to go along with it. Always puts a smile on our faces.
I'm about to swap a rebuilt 350 in my daughter's 93 Silverado she snaked from me that I got at a farm auction.... Watching you working on these builds definitely inspired me to originally get the truck and we have been doing restoration on it bit by bit.... And tomorrow morning, I have a friend who's a certified mechanic help me swap out the tired 350 in it for a refreshed engine.... Wish me luck 🤞 and thank you for what you do!!! ❤
Having to justify a car a guy doesn't have to give away Some people are just that way i guess. Says a ton about todays society. Even when someone is doing something absolutely amazing, someone will still try and find something negative. Happy that you've gotten to be successful enough to be able to do things like this for your fans Derek. You're an amazing person, and I'm genuinely grateful I found your channel. You've helped me more in the last 2 years than I could ever tell you. God bless you and your family.
To anyone complaining! $15000 goes with it! I’ll walk down there and get it!! I’m hopefully about winning it!! I can dream can’t I? Best regards from Idaho!
I don’t understand people some times. Knit picking on things. Quit being haters!!! Beautiful car!!! Would love to be the one picked for it! Love watching your videos Derek, love watching the transformation of improvements! Great family too! Good bless you and all you do!
My first car (when I was 14, in Idaho) was a 1970 Chevy Nova with a 4 speed on the floor. I loved that low miles, one owner car, and I did a lot to it to make it better in every way...more power, torque, handling, braking, steering, rear suspension, interior, sound system, wheels, tires, exhaust, etc. It was the nicest looking car in my high school after I worked alongside a professional painter to prep and paint it, and it was probably the fastest car in our school in the quarter mile (I wasn't able to race two possible contenders, but I handily beat all of the others). This Nova project car was already so nice but Derek is making it a true seriously hot, reliable, good looking, daily driver...what a car for some lucky VGG Subscriber to win!
Some people would complain if they were given a million bucks. You just keep on doing your thing, and that car is gonna make someone out there VERY happy!
Had to get a derikism shirt and a Bring the thunder keyring. Been eyeing them and honestly the chance for a pretty car like this is a bonus. Hope you, chat, and the family have a Great holiday and be safe everyone out this year!
I couldn't believe that people were pointing out "issues" they have with the car... ...the giveaway car... ... that someone will get...for free... ... WITH money, to boot... ...a LOT of money. For the record, IF I am fortunate enough to win it, I'm pretty sure I'll STILL be shouting, "HALLELUJAH!" all the way back home. Seems to me, when you're given such a gift, gratitude seems to be the best way to handle that kind of thing.
Are you kidding me??? People are actually complaining about a 55 year old car not being perfect, that they want to win for free??? Keep up the great work Derek.
Plopped back down in my recliner again, and what do you know!!?? Another VGG episode! I don't believe it but I have to cause a fellers lookin right at it!
I have to say, because of you I am a lot more knowledgeable with vehicles! I was a tire/lube tech in my past but man I appreciate your humor. It got me glued right in! ❤ I’ve been watching over three years now. Thank you for all you and your family do. 😊 Can’t wait to see the set of wheels you pick for this car!
I seriously wouldn’t care if the fenders were falling off and it had a hole in the floorboards! It’s free, and if it’s free it’s for me! Love what you’re doing keep up the good work!
This is one of my favorite giveaways love every thing about it people think that giveaways should be perfect in all ways it’s free so what ever if you don’t like the giveaways don’t enter
Dude , your a freakin rockstar ! You have too much patience for knuckleheads . You know what’s right for this ride & anyone with any sense will know that if they’ve ever watched Vice Grip Garage before . Thx bro for the great content 🤘🏻🏁
I purchased the terminator for a 7.3 swap and I’m glad to see you take the time to show us gear heads that a high quality electrical kit is plug and play with labels and instructions that help you along the way. Holley deserves a lot of credit for the r and d end of making hot ridding our old vehicles with modern technology much more fun and easy.
@Derek! You are an amazing guy! You must have 1000+ hours just in thoughts, phone calls, ordering the perfect parts and doing the work to make this GAW Tribute the perfect machine! The wiring and (bloop blops / dudads) are placed in this 1968 Nova by a fellow who knows how! I doesn't look like Grandpa's tractor is what I am saying! Don't let those people worried about rust someplace or the wheel and tire connoisseur get your goat! You and the family have done an incredible job putting this car in tip-top shape with the best of everything! Congratulations! The channel just keeps getting better all the time!😊
It takes me like 3 days to watch a vice grip video not because i lose intrest but it relaxs me and i end up taking a snooze. Its never a obnoxiously loud video always just calm cool and collective!
The Nova is awesome and your show is awesome. Anyone complaining about this car is nuts. Really like what you are doing to it also. Thank you for these great videos. Michael Cavasos. My wife Sandy also watches. I can’t wait to win the Nova and get to meet you. Lol
Just want to say thank you! I’m such a big fan of your show. I found you a little over a year ago and think I have went back and watched almost every revival that you have done! Keep up the awesome work!
Thank you so much for bringing us along on the Yenko Chevy NOVA commemorative model rebuild/upgrade. This brings back fond memories for me. I was born & raised in Canonsburg, PA. when Yenko Chevrolet was operating their dealership. My Dad and uncle bought their Chevy's from Yenko. I can remember as a teenager, Don Yenko would sometimes have his latest race car parked outside the dealership showroom. Like all teenagers, we were in awe the few times they started it up for the crowd. Good times. Winning would be a blessing for sure!
I like the fact that a feller gets his kids involved on what he’s doing. My little person that I help take care of comes out to help me with oils changes, plugs and whatever needs to be done. Heck he can do the oil change on his own now at 9 years old.
I bought what i could for entries (love the t-shirt) and now for the dream of possibly winning that beautiful car. Can't believe anyone would actually talk trash about something that is being GIVEN away. Thank you for the chance to win and God bless!
Love this, my wife surprised me and went on and ordered a bunch of stuff to get our family entered to win the car. We really love watching and looking forward every week. Really like what your doing with the Nova. Your show single handedly has helped motivate me to get back to work on our project car that's been mostly stagnant for the last couple years. I just put together a custom exhaust kit and now working on wiring to get it running.

Derek, I can't tell you enough, about how much I enjoy watching your show, this Nova upgrade sure brings a lot of good memories, I'm a Vietnam vet, and back in the day I had a hand or two in building a couple of old hotrods, I always enjoyed running the streets and running thru the gears, like music, you do really good work.
thank you,
Charles Roberts
Its nice for Derek to get something clean every so often. Im sure he wants a break from Rat poop, rusted out floors,no brakes, gunked out fuel tanks, flavored aromas,no heat, no A/C, and stuck engines. Although watching those things makes me watch this channel its also nice to know im not alone in the arduous world of outside old rigs repairs. Cheers VGG someone had to say it.
I drove a nova in high school. This will make a nice 48th birthday gift. Thanks for all the hard work.
Man for someone to talk negatively about a man giving away this car is mind bottling i love it! I love what you do and your content thanks Derick!
Wire by wire you sorted everything out to get the new harness installed, working, and looking neat. What a great job.
Thanks, uniformity is a beautiful thing!
It's too bad about road worthy rescue. I'm so glad you didn't abandon this channel when you started that show like most did.
Derek and Family. Sincerely! Thank you for thinking enough of your fans to give away this beautiful Nova, plus cash. Even more, thanks for the donation of your time which is something you have precious little
of. Anyone should be proud and happy with this. For those critical of the car or the parts etc , hopefully you don't win it. For the rest of us, good luck, but sorry I'm pretty sure I already have the winning entry 😉
That is a really cool project. Thanks for takin' us along. Whoever wins that thing will be happy as a lark. :)
Hey Derek, you can't please everyone so please yourself. Nobody should complain about a car that's being given away. You do awesome work!
I'm 80 years old and I love the changes your making with the Nova , I had a new one in 1972 green with a 3 speed and V8 .
I had a dark green 71 , in 78 3 speed 6 cylinder. First column shift car I ever owned or drove
Boo the haters!! You and the wife and Bently demonstrated the 1st EVER, start to finish harness installation, that I've ever watched. Knowledge is priceless. Thanks for what you do
I cannot believe anyone could complain about this absolute GEM or imply you being dishonest! Love the work you do and the rigs you save!
Terminator X decoding process reads out: "Be sure to drink your Ovaltine"... Older guys will get that reference.
Lmao I remember those commercials
Just a lousy ad...😂
Only because of Ralphie on A Christmas Story.
I’m old and I do 😂🤦🏻♂️😂
@ little orphan Annie is counting on you!
That plant will pop with a correction and coating
so good to watch a fella working with his son and a young man who wants to learn the trade keep up the good work
I look forward to the day I can get one of them Terminator X doo-hickies in one of my rigs, looks awesome!
I’m more into the exterminator doo-hickies, it’s a secret of the fellars and don’t your worry the fellettes too:…….
Am so very sad for your immeasurable loss......
@@stevegerman5569 Very Kind of You
Derek the master getting things done and making the new wiring harness much neater than the old mess. Parts are always a problem and hold up these builds! Good video Derek and a guy is doing justice to this '68 Camero!
It's spelled Camaro, not Camero.
im 56 yrs old my father passed 2 yrs ago on dec. 2nd @ 80n yrs old thank you for putting out your content !!!! you and yours i hope you all have a wonderful turkey day and thank our four fathers .....;;;;
Derek! The car looks awesome! Don’t let people nit picking it detour you from doing what you do!
It's time for the Friday night video by VGG. Cheers from eastern TN
Good for her that’s an excellent truck to learn on!
Good Luck Buddy! Do anything special on the 350?
Good luck brother! Hope I can engine swap my old truck one day. Congrats 🎉🎉
Really looking forward to the day I get to put that beautiful Nova in my garage
Me too 😊
Me three
When Little Dude helps Derek it makes for a double instant good mood! 😊😅
That Nova is shaping right up! Also, every shop needs a Theodore. Such a good cat🥹
Winning this car would make this old man very happy 😊
To anyone complaining!
$15000 goes with it! I’ll walk down there and get it!! I’m hopefully about winning it!! I can dream can’t I?
Best regards from Idaho!
The sad soul haters thrive on comebacks.
I don’t understand people some times. Knit picking on things. Quit being haters!!! Beautiful car!!! Would love to be the one picked for it! Love watching your videos Derek, love watching the transformation of improvements! Great family too! Good bless you and all you do!
God bless you and your family!
That is the coat I bought along with the black travel cup! Can’t wait to get my jacket! Thanks again for all you do
My first car (when I was 14, in Idaho) was a 1970 Chevy Nova with a 4 speed on the floor.
Who put these dangled hundred-dollar bills in my pile 5😂
I love the wheels. And the way you are raising your children with respect that seems to be lacking in a lot of children
No, that’s a sweet rig.. anyone in their right mind would love it..
Even a MOPAR guy
People try copy your content but you are in your own league. Good stuff.
Had to get a derikism shirt and a Bring the thunder keyring. Been eyeing them and honestly the chance for a pretty car like this is a bonus. Hope you, chat, and the family have a Great holiday and be safe everyone out this year!
I honestly love seeing Old glory out of the window 😊
I couldn't believe that people were pointing out "issues" they have with the car...
...the giveaway car...
... that someone will get...for free...
... WITH money, to boot...
...a LOT of money.
For the record, IF I am fortunate enough to win it, I'm pretty sure I'll STILL be shouting, "HALLELUJAH!" all the way back home.
Seems to me, when you're given such a gift, gratitude seems to be the best way to handle that kind of thing.
Derek, you just might have given me the confidence to attempt my own LS swap. Thanks man!
Are you kidding me??? People are actually complaining about a 55 year old car not being perfect, that they want to win for free??? Keep up the great work Derek.
a free car for a few dollars in a merch purchase and people are nit picking . How insane beautiful car awesome content and on hell of a dude
Who’s ready for Friday evening!!!!
I’m up and movin my gittin is goin
Plopped back down in my recliner again, and what do you know!!?? Another VGG episode! I don't believe it but I have to cause a fellers lookin right at it!
friday night at work, and VGG pulls through for me. thank you. and got my VGG fitted hat, gray with american flag, love it
That is awesome!
I have to say, because of you I am a lot more knowledgeable with vehicles! I was a tire/lube tech in my past but man I appreciate your humor. It got me glued right in! ❤ I’ve been watching over three years now. Thank you for all you and your family do. 😊
Can’t wait to see the set of wheels you pick for this car!
Now it’s officially Friday evening!
I am an electronics technician III and your wiring is great! I love wiring and it is one of my favorite job next to building engines.
27:40 who else was waiting for him to smash it with a sledge hammer
Sure expected the Tanya hammer.
Sometimes wonder he sure got a new oem and just funning us.

I think that the car looks amazing and whom ever wins it is the luckiest individual to get it 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
YES!!!!!
