- When the water is high in the spring, you can still find some gold if you know where to look!

me and Slim just love sitting back and watching your vids so......you know what I am gonna say huh..........So C'mon...Let's Go....
Been eyeing that mine your working - better have slim guard it when you leave. Thanks - Gary
Damn you guys talk hahaha
My two favorite gold guys!!!! Let's go!!!!
I prospect in Indiana (glacial drift gold). I love how you say "not a lot of gold" on that clean up! I pull about 10-15 small pepper flake sized pieces in an average 4 hour session.....I'd LOVE to have an average clean up of 1/2 a gram! Personal best is just over 2 grams, but that came from a bedrock pothole about 2 feet wide and 3 feet deep with a 2" Proline dredge.
Great video! Love the info you give in each one. Thanks for taking the time do it. I will look for the heavy, shinny dark rocks!
Great info Gary !!! Always looking forward to more video's from your adventures for gold. Thanks !
Thank you very much.
Really enjoying the video series, Gary. Thanks for all your efforts and advice. So much useful information in each film. Very inspiring. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much!
Thanks for your Videos! Ron, Canada

Good gold for half a dozen pans or so.
huh
Thanks for sharing!
Thanx Two Toes for sharing your hard earned knowledge with us.
I slept for two days after my last gold adventure too! Another good video ! Thanks!
Good Movie and Good Info! I look forward to the next one thanks! atb -KG
Thanks!
Awesome video s. Thank you. I wish I could follow you around awhile.
another great video. thanks for sharing your knowledge
Thank You.
Heck yes, I enjoyed the video. I have popcorn waiting in the pantry for the next video.
I am editing one, I shot a couple of weeks ago. I have went back and cut it 2 times and it still ended up 25 minutes. Better get a little more popcorn. Thanks - Gary
I for 1love all your gold mining vids another very good lesson about how to pick a spot to sample. I recognize that part of the canyon from several of your earlier videos. Looking forward to upcoming vids, HH
That river is always good for some gold, every now and then it will give up a good picker! Thanks for the support!
If you don't learn something watching these videos.... you're not paying attention.....
Hello Gary I watched my first video of your channel few days ago and I am very impressed on how well you show and explain everything!! I'm subscribed to your channel and getting my friends to watch and subscribe also 👍well done Gary keep teaching us to Real way to Pan 😎😎😎😎
teacher .

I live in turkey .
The region I live in.
Mesopotamia with its former name.
I live around the van lake, which is the big 3-pound lake in the world.
This region is finding a volcano that has already exploded.
Nemrut crater lake.
I can find gold dust in this region.
Thank you for all the advices, i really like your videos. You can really tell how to find gold by just looking at the gravel and how the river flows! Unfortunatelly i can't go find gold myself. Well i tried twice but my neck hurt to much so i got a real headache every time. And i only found a few tiny bits. But your videos is still a fine substitute. I hope you find a huge nugget soon! Thanks! Jonas, Sweden.
Every idiot with a gold pan and a smartphone thinks he knows how to find gold. This guy actually has some real expertise one can only gain through decades of personal study of the behavior of gold in waterways.
I thank you, sir, for sharing your time and expertise. You have helped my understanding develop tremendously with details you throw out. In fact, I hung on every word despite the noisy audio. It’s still a great video.
Out standing keep up the videos can't get enough of them take care stay safe .from Alaska
Awesome video. I liked the gold u got as well. That was very good. Can't wait till the next videos. I cant wait till the next one.
Great video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I hope you got your phone sorted out after the gardening incident. Keep the productions coming. All the best from the UK
It took a week and a half to get one, I use it to find out what time it is more than anything. Thanks - Gary
Two Toes Yeah my phone is an alarm clock and a calculator.
I really enjoy these videos. I am learning a lot from you. Thanks.
On top of that, and for what it's worth, you're very cool, man.
You'll be working high on the banks this year. Friends tell me the snow pack is 16 feet this year. Water gonna be high in the spring! Good side is once it recedes, there should be some fresh gold to be had one would think
One of the best how to videos I've seen yet... Thank you very much and I hope to meet with you sometime...! Robert in Arizona
5:42 Anyone else see that piece of gold stuck to the bottom of the boulder he moved.. No way that was a gold glowing rock!!!
Question. Out of all the gold that was around in the 1849er CA mining era, what percent do you think they got, what percent remains, and how much new gold is unearthed every year and where does the new gold come from? Below the water line, above the water line?
I have heard all kinds of different figures on how much they missed. Unless you recover all the remaining gold, I can't see how you can put a percentage on it. Most of the gold we are finding now is gold that was to hard to get or there wasn't enough to make it worth there time. There is gold that washes into the river and the river erodes gold out of the bedrock every winter.
Loved the new video.have a Happy independents day and I can't wait to see the next one.God Bless
I just got home from filming the next one, that's the fun part. Thanks - Gary
У тебя усы айбаанго,😀😁😂 хи хи
another informative video ,thanks gary ,not bad size gold for high up though ,cheers .
Thank you.
Your videos are the best instructional vidz on youtube. I am a semi experienced miner here in N.California and still find your videos helpful. Please keep it up. Luv em. Great job!
Thank you very much.
Looks like a good day to me, I always learn something from your videos. Keep em coming. Heavy Pans
Thank You!
Top of the morning to ya mr two toes .. truly fabbo as always ..😁
Thank you for my weekend gold video fix, wish we had accessible bedrock like this where I live for those nice pockets and crevices.
Looking forward to more videos from you!
Thanks for the informative videos. I enjoy prospecting vicariously with you on youtube while our creeks are still frozen solid up here in British Columbia.
Im anxious to see what you will find this summer. With the winter we had I believe you should find some nice chunky shiny this season. Do you carry protection with you? Im sure there are some unsavory characters out and about. Be safe...Must have been a good beer! 2 days later! Wow...LOL
Most of the time I don't carry, have to give them a fighting chance! Ya - not much of a drinker, I have been known to finish a whole beer by my self. That is, when I was a lot younger.
Very interesting video. I learn something new every time I watch your new videos. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thank you.
Thanks again Gary!
By the way, been loving your large crevice tool; scraped cracks and loosened hard pack for two days straight on the SF Yuba. Ergonomics on it are great! I got to get the small one you make now. Take care.
Thanks - hope your finding gold!
Hello Gary, thank you so much for getting out there and showing us how it's done. I'm in tuolumne county, plenty of opportunity. Your sniping vids drew me in, I showed my wife and she was intrigued. She happened upon a yard sale the next day, she found a wetsuit that fit and we're headed to the creeks! Thank you so much, I'd like to come to your shop someday
When I was 10 years old, we were on the Tuolumne river fishing. That is where I first learned about gold and panning. Been hooked ever since. Good luck and have a great time! Thanks - Gary
This is an awesome video. An even greater challenge would be a video on how to find gold when bedrock is not accessible, or bedrock is super deep!
One of the rivers I prospect has very soft bedrock, it does not hold the gold. Most of the gold is in the gravel. I took a trip up there today. I was thinking about doing a video on that subject, and I wanted to check the condition of the river. The river is still way to high, I don't think it will drop much before Sept. When it does I will get up there and do a video. Thanks - Gary
Hey Gary I loved this video! I am new to prospecting just started this year but I've learned a lot and found a few flakes thanks to awesome people like you who share their knowledge and also are an inspiration. I see you are a veteran thank you so much for your service and sacrifices. Where is this river it's beautiful! I live in the mountains of NC and love the beauty and serenity that comes with prospecting. God bless and keep it going!
Northern California east of Oroville.
just wanted to say thank you for the videos. I'm in NC still learning...but finding gold... Thanks again!!😎
If your having fun and finding gold - it don't get much better! Thanks - Gary
Thanks for sharing your knowledge & adventures with us. I really enjoy your channel. Keep up the good work Gary!
Great video. Informative and helpful as usual. Very different scenery than where I look for gold - the Mohave Desert. Thank you for making these.
I made the mistake of going to the desert in January to warm up - I dam near froze to death. In my defense I was still in high school. Thank you for the support.
Question. Is it possible to reproduce/manufacturer gold in a laboratory they way they can manufacturer precious stones like diamonds, rubys, emeralds in a laboratory?
As far as I know they can't manufacture gold.
Alchemy not w/o rearanging subatomic particals.
element = need create each atom.
compound = putting together atoms to create gemstones & alloys
Gary great hole!
no metal detector needed!
you've outdone my single day with a pump & suction
nozzle here in NC on one hole!
real nice tip about color/weight/smoothness when hefting rocks.
What did the bottom of that hole smell like ? ;)
R U gonna get time to put a nice duct tape handle on on that WW blade?
Keep'em commin!
Great video, I just found your UA-cam space & I'm playing catch up now. Did or will you go back & work that hole or area some more?
I will go back after the water has dropped and check the area for larger gold. Thanks - Gary
Loved the video. Always a lot to learn from your video tips, and the fast water warning is right on the money. I'm moving up your way. Maybe we'll meet up sometime.
If your in the hills - there is a good chance we might! Thanks - Gary
Just recently found your youTube channel and I enjoy your videos . I would enjoy going to northern California to prospect .
Welcome aboard, hope my videos will be some help!
thanks, I always appreciate your videos! enjoy the summer, it's cold where I'm from and am looking forward to summer.
That's funny - I'm getting tired of the heat, looking forward to fall. Human nature I guess. Thanks - Gary
Another great video Gary !!! Keep at it ! Always enjoy all your adventures for gold , especially the metal detecting ! Thanks
Thanks you very much!
Nice video, never really tried high water digging. I usually wait tell the water drops. But maybe now I can sneak out a bit earlier and get on the gold. Thanks for the information.
Thanks for the support!
Thanks for the videos! I'd like to see a vid about the black sands - what they are, etc.. I've found small pickers with solid magnetite attached to the gold up here in Alaska. I went to use a magnet to pull out the magnetite and the picker stuck right to the magnet.
That is why I save all my black sand. After I get enough built up I run it threw the tumbler, then work it with mercury. Thanks - Gary
Really enjoy your vids.Have a question whats a good brand of metal detector would you recommend for a beginner?
The best bet is check around and see what the other miners in your area are using and how they are doing. As long as you stick with the major brands - Whites - Minelab - etc. you will get a good detector. Thanks - Gary
Thanks for the info Gary.
Could you tell me why you don't use a metal detector on the cracks before you start clearing them out? Do you expect to detect too much iron to make it worthwhile?
Most of the time I do. When detecting bedrock - iron, lead and gold travel together, so I don't mind finding iron at all. When you are up high or in a area where all your going to find is flood gold, the detector is not much help. The gold is to small for the detector to pick up. You can use the detector to locate black sand deposits or search for iron. Both will help you find the fine gold. I like to show how to find gold without a detector at times, not every one has a detector (yet). Thank you for the support!
Are you out in California?? I love your videos!
hey i live in sweden just starting up love you're vids.learning alot from you and jeff williams keep it up
Had a question for you two toes can you use a hand dredge or a nugget sucker in California I've tried contacting fish and game and no response just wondering if you knew
As far as I know you can use a handheld nugget sucker. With this state you never know! I don't think the fish and game have any idea what the mining laws are, I'm not sure if anyone does! Thanks - Gary
Been waiting for a video this informative. Excellent. Thanks Two Toes.
Thank you.
Thanks. Great video. Keep'm coming! Which county are you in.
Butte County. Thanks - Gary
Hey! It,s been awhile. Glad to see you in the the crick again...Is that Bean Soup?
Can't hide the green rock! This one was shot on my claim. Lets see if you can get the next one. Thanks - Gary
Uk here I really enjoy you videos always very informative and entertaining keep them coming
Thank you.
When do you think the river will slow down enough for sniping? It looks like you're in Sierra county.
I'm hoping in 2 or 3 weeks. I'm not sure the county, it's close to the line. Thanks- Gary
Always look forward to the videos
Thank you for another great video telling us all the good signs to look for when hunting for gold
Glad to help!
Everyone is right your videos are very informative, looking forward to see what adventures you have in store for this year!thank you
Thank you.
Hi Gary, Thanks for the informative videos. I'm just getting into prospecting and looking purchase a metal detector primarily for gold. What detector would you purchase in the $800.00 range ...?
Thanks Greg
Right now, I an a Whites fan, they work good for the type of detecting I do. As long as you stay with a brand that has been around for a long time you will get a good detector. Your best bet is to find out what the other miners are using in your area, and how they are doing with them. Good luck - Gary
Two Toes
Thanks
Thank you Two Toes! You always have great videos of how to find gold. And I love that you film in areas more like the areas I'm in vs the desert or Australia or in the south. Its all the same basics but the material getting worked is not always the same. I have a huge area I prospect/work. Due to my job of driving I get a chance to work these areas of Northern California. Thank you again and have a great day...
Thank you very much and good luck!
So, what you’re saying is that we could find gold come hell or high water?
LOL
Another good video Gary, thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you!
great video Gary just getting into prospecting myself now and introducing it to my daughters I was just curious what state you are in beautiful country look similar to mine I'm in Utah I heard there's not very good gold here it's very hard to find hopefully with all of your tips and tricks maybe we will get lucky and find some color thanks so much for any info
I am in the peoples republic of California. The area I prospect is the Feather and Yuba river drainage. Thanks - Gary
Two Toes thanks
Sound is refreshing! Good info. Thank you for doing what you do for us!

As usual great video. Can't wait for the next one.
Thanks - Gary
Where are you Gary? I'm a new prospector up here in Vancouver Wash. So far did some scouting outside Cougar Wa.
I'm in northern California, I like working the Feather and Yuba rivers drainage. For me the looking is almost as much fun as the finding. Good luck and thanks for the support!
